Benchmark Windows Ltd Avis 

We recently had all of the windows and doors in our property replaced by Benchmark and they are a step above the rest. From the initial showroom visit, to the professional advice and installation, we would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!

We are a returning customer after 5 years or so following installation of our bifolds and sliding doors. Once again Benchmark came up trumps and provided a fantastic service from start to finish with the installation of our french doors. The job was completed with great workmanship and efficiency and the installers were also very considerate and tidy.

We have dealt with this company many times over the past few years, and they have been absolutely excellent. From the initial surveys, though the helpful and sensible advice, to the fitting and after sales service they have been great, Thoroughly recommended.

Letting the outside in! Quite literally. Spent a large amount of money on windows for the front of my property and from start to finish it was a nightmare. Window opening not in the right place, non stop leaks when raining, flooding at times. Sponges shoved in them to stop leaks and noise, even black mastic pumped into them that now oozes out when it’s warm. Very poor windows and customer service.
Thousands of happy customers? Then I’m astonished you don’t know who I am! How many customers windows do you pump full of mastic?!

Used to glaze and fit Bifold doors, and a glazed angled roof on an extension. Faultless from start to finish. Communication was great all the way through. They were recommended by our builder as having top quality workmanship during installation and they did not disappoint! Paul and Harley who fitted were both very nice, answered all of my (I’m sure annoying) questions. There was a very minor bit of cosmetic damage to one of the handles (no fault of the fitters) and they resolved immediately with a replacement. Wonderful company, top products with quality and pride in their workmanship. Will be using them to reglaze the rest of the house!

As a side note, my wife and I are expecting, and we weren’t due to get the glazing until about a month after the baby was due, but when Russ heard about our news, he pulled out all the stops and got us in a month before the baby is due!

Bumped into one of the so called Directors locally today and this conveniently reminded me to leave a review about our experience of dealing with them. We engaged them on a large residential job to supply Origin Windows and Doors. This was a large expensive project so accordingly we expected faultless delivery. We were wrong, sloppy mistakes meant that compromises were needed by us alongside appropriately negotiated refunds. The fitters were good but were chased off the job (3 weeks) by the directors before the job was fully completed. Again for such an expensive project this was disappointing and amateurish. They finally returned to complete our project. The other issue was we required new Origin front doors and utility doors at a slightly later date (approximately £13k worth or work). Benchmark Windows completely ignored all our attempts to engage and get a quote and installation date. We even spoke to Origin directly who were very disappointed that one of their authorised installers was behaving in such a way - we were invited to Origins showrooms for a meeting and to find a solution which we did with an alternative authorised Origin installer. We have to say we enjoyed a faultless experience with the other installer that Origin introduced us to. We cannot recommend Benchmark Windows because of their sloppy unprofessional attitude and obvious behaviour to ignore customers that have already paid large sums of money. Origin were and are exasperated by the behaviour of the directors and I’m sure have no desire to direct new Origin customers to them. If you want Origin products seek an alternative authorised installer or better still seek an alternative installer anyway. When you look at Trustpilot even Anglian Windows attract a higher customer score so that says something!

Excellent replacement of all of our failing timber windows and door with Origin aluminium windows and an Ecotherm aluminium front door. John and Jim did a great job on the installation- their years of experience of installing windows and doors was really evident. And they were very considerate throughout the installation.

We had a couple of hitches along the way but in a major refurbishment that can happen. Russell and Clayton resolved the issues very efficiently. We spent a long time researching window companies and we were pleased that the end results justified the effort.

Promised a lot in the lead up to the business. It was a total house modernisation and replacement. The two installation guys were very good however thats where the companies ‘customers centric’ ideology ends. It was a 3 week job and in the end the installation guys were being rushed and told to finish consequently or so they told us we had to get them back to complete things. We also required at a later date new front doors and utility doors. The company simply refused to respond to requests either voicemail or emails. We own investment properties and were lining them up to do 2 more total house replacements for us but unfortunately they lost that opportunity. We spoke to the window manufacturers Origin who were not impressed by their installer and invited us to their HQ. When we arrived we were blown away by the products and solutions - however we were frustrated as much as Original because Benchmark had not presented other options to us. Cannot recommend unfortunately.

I'm a house owner. I'm not 'in the trade'. We undertook a total re-development of a substantial house on the seafront in Portslade. It's one of those houses that are actually on the beach. We replaced all the windows, added quite a few, and bought a front door too. We dealt with Benchmark directly not through our prime contractor builder. We did a semi formal tender process and showed reasonable diligence before selecting Benchmark against several other local suppliers. This was in the times of COVID too. Benchmark were absolutely brilliant. Out of all the different suppliers we dealt with, and there were a lot, they were easily the best. They just were not any trouble. They were all about solving problems not creating them and the project was anything but straightforward. They gave excellent advice and gently steered us away from some potentially bad decisions. They over delivered in my opinion. Nothing was too much trouble. They never complained even when they had some difficult conditions to work in. They were flexible. The workmanship was top class. I really can't recommend them highly enough. Jason is the main person we dealt with. Big up Jason! Thank you Jason and Benchmark. Outstanding!
