what could have been great...
Initial contact was good and professional, after that it went downhill.
Place was not 100% when we moved in: fire alarm was beeping, curtains are torn (previous inhabitants most likely and not replaced - still not), 1 of the mattresses was moldy (health hazard !) and so old it didn't give the support needed, shower installation was shabby, heating issues in the building (got an electric heater as replacement) and wifi not up to par.
Most things were solved within a respectable time period, but for the mattress they needed the owner's approval and it took a month after a lot of push from our part (not normal for a health hazard). Owner wants to sell, so we are probably looking at a lot of visits of potential buyers now. Not the calm we are hoping for.
Wifi (2.4ghz only - wifi 4 - crowded wifi area and ethernet is blocked) still remains an issue as Teams calls get disconnected (so using mobile hotspot at our own costs for reliable internet), no solution there since they probably don't want to invest... not great for homeworking. Glad to leave when lease is over.
