Misleading site
While applying for jobs, Bidvine misled me in to creating an account - they advertised a job on a professional jobs board which looked like a proper job ad and I clicked on the link thinking it was a usual application. Now can't delete the account without setting up the profile and entering all my information. They are spamming me with emails I can't turn off and they are being very unhelpful.
As for the site itself - paying to bid on jobs that you might not get? It's obvious what is in it for them and why they tried so hard to keep my account.
Update: eventually got the account deleted after far too much trouble. Will be staying far away from them in future.
Response to Bidvine's reply - that is inaccurate. It is not possible to turn them off without first setting up a profile and entering all your information. I have now got the account removed but it took far longer than it should have.

Terrible for tradesmen, keep clear!
This may be good for customers but it's terrible for traders. You get charged for every job accepted regardless and the customers can change their job descriptions, talk to you how they want to,etc. I complained and was told it was up to me to sort it out even though a customer had completely changed the description of the job but still wanted this 'simple fix' doing for nothing. Absolutely disgraceful that sites like this are allowed to take money from hard working tradesmen when clearly nobody running it has the suitable knowledge to run it nor do they run it fairly.

Just to be clear, here on Bidvine, you are only charged when the customer contacts you and their initial message isn't essentially a no. Once you are contacted by the customer, it is up to you to convert that warm lead into a hire and manage their expectations and experience from then on.
If you have yet to do so, we advise that you get in touch with us or respond to our information request so we can check your account along with what happened. We look forward to hearing from you and being able to sort this out.

Excellent service for this Newbie...
This was my first experience with BidVine and the whole experience was easy, stress free and the responses were a little overwhelming but I managed to find the right person for the job I had and the service was excellent. Will definately use BidVine again to find the right service providers in my area.

Really useful website
Really useful website, I have used it twice recently and have found two very good tradespeople. The bidding system works well and allows you to choose someone that matches your budget and the profile information is invaluable for finding someone with the correct level of experience for the task. would definitely recommend checking it out.
