Best Hosting Provider

Thank you so much, BigScoots! I've used other hosting providers before and they didn't do anything for us except host our site! Very pleased with BigScoots' extent of service and how they assign less than a handful support staff to your account so I remember all of them by name. Ali just did a site backup and updated our plugin to a specific version today because the most recent one isn't compatible with our outdated theme.

I switched years ago from SiteGround…

I switched years ago from SiteGround and sometimes can’t believe I ever used a discount host now that I know the difference. BigScoots has been exceptional for all my sites, always going above and beyond. I️ sometimes cannot believe the things they have done to help solve emergencies. They are extra compared to other hosts but the premium is worth every penny.

I was previously with Kinsta and felt their pricing was excessive for the service provided.

I was initially wary of moving to BigScoots since they charged considerably less.

After plenty of thought, I made the switch, with the plan of reverting back to Kinsta if BigScoots didn’t perform.

A year in, I can safely say I would never change host.

The service is outstanding - fast, reliable, and backed by a support team that’s clear, concise, and straight to the point.

In my time with BigScoots, I’ve had zero issues. Not once have I felt the service was anything other than excellent.

10/10!

excellent web hosting platform

excellent web hosting platform. Prices are very reasonable and even on a shared hosting platform, site speed is pretty good (see Celticirish.com). Their support is also second to none; all of my queries have been answered promptly and any and all problems I have had have been solved quickly :) would recommend to anyone out there.

This company has over delivered

I've been very satisfied with Big Scoots' hosting services. I'm currently on their $20 plan and appreciate features like cPanel email, a user-friendly cPanel interface, included SSL certificates, and reliable support. The month-to-month billing option provides flexibility, which I highly value.

I previously used SiteGround and found their dashboard less intuitive compared to cPanel.

Excellent service and top quality customer service

I transferred my WordPress hosting and domain registration to BigScoots, and it has been the best choice I've made for my blogs and my peace of mind. The service quality is exceptional, and the customer service and tech support are the best I've ever encountered. My previous provider couldn't resolve the issues with my domains and hosting for over a year, but the BigScoots team assisted me at every turn, resolving everything within 24 hours. The service is outstanding, their server is reliable, and even my Core Web Vital metrics have improved! Unlike my previous provider, BigScoots treated me with personal attention, allowing me to speak with real people who diligently addressed my concerns and followed through until everything was up and running perfectly. BigScoots is the only hosting provider that didn't crash the site

BigScoots is my third hosting provider and it's the only hosting provider who has not let my site crash. Sad but true. Additionally, there's very little downtime when they do regular maintenance on their own systems, that kind of thing. I've been with them about two, two and a half years now.

The internet is a hard place to make a living but if you've at least got solid hosting, you're way ahead of the game. Take it from somebody who was with Bluehost, who crashed the site every few weeks and also SiteGround -- who crashed the site once, and then I left the next day. You have to have rock solid hosting in this business or nothing else that you do matters.

Also, nobody at BigScoots tries to sell me packages from other technical services companies. That's a relief. I'm completely open to referrals under the right circumstances, but too often the solution to hosting "problems" is for a hosting provider to sell you bells and whistles (security systems, that kind of thing) with somebody else. BigScoots doesn't play that game, which, as I said, is a relief.

Excellent hosting company with exceptional support

I've been hosting websites with BigScoots for over ten years now and highly recommend their basic shared hosting. All my sites are Wordpress (currently five) and even though I don't use their Wordpress hosting they still are willing to help me through any issues I have. Their customer service is outstanding - I get a response usually within 15 minutes and they work with me until the problem is solved. I've used many other hosts over the years (Dreamhost, GoDaddy, SiteGround, Bluehost) and I'm completely satisfied with BigScoots, they are an excellent hosting company with exceptional support.

Incredible hosting service

Have been using this company for hosting for over a year now. The transition was easy and smooth, and after botched transfers with other companies in the past, that is very important. The service has been excellent but where they truly go above and beyond is with customer support. I often send in questions or ask for their help and they always reply immediately, and with the solutions I need. Cannot recommend them enough.

They WERE great...horrible now!

Slow to respond to support questions. Then they continually push upgrade host services. They WERE a great host until about 9-12 months ago. It used to take at most 3 minutes to respond to support questions/issues. Now it can take hours for a response. Even with that they can't seem to find solutions and want to blame everyone else, when other tech folks say the issue has to be theirs. They are more focused on selling upgraded products than they are with helping their customers quickly resolve issues. I will NOT recommend them anymore. In fact, I'm in the process of reviewing new host options.

I recently migrated my website from hostgator

I recently migrated my website to Big Scoots and couldn't be happier with my decision to switch. Big Scoots support has been nothing short of spectacular!

First, the migration was incredibly fast and easy. And my site already performs better on Big Scoots.

And second, this is a biggie, I was having an issue with one of my WP plug ins but the vendor couldn't replicate the issue and suggested it was due to other plug-ins.

I submitted a support ticket to Big Scoots to see if they could help. And Dean quickly responded by providing specific error detail to share with my vendor that showed it was indeed their issue. And guess what? The detail that Dean provided meant my vendor took ownership of the issue and was able to create a fix within a few days.

Huge fan of Big Scoots!

Simply exceptional service

I have three websites that I host with Big Scoots, and honestly the service is exceptional.
I am awful with Wordpress and they've even gone out of their way to help me.
I always get a response within 5 minutes, and they always sort the issue.
Not only that but if my website is down, they alert me straight away. I've worked with many website hosts, they're by far the BEST. No comparison in my opinion.

Amazing support - Bigscoots customer since 2015

We have been with Bigscoots since February 8th, 2015. I decided to move us over from Hostgator after they were bought by EIG, and years of great service went down the pan overnight.

We are a digital marketing agency, and we host our clients sites, so it is imperative not just for our own business but also for the sites we host to find not just a good host but a great reliable host.
Bigscoots was not a name I had ever heard of, but all the comments I found online on hosting forums kept mentioning them and their awesome support. What really matters with a hosting company is not what happens when things are working; it is what happens when they are not. BigScoots has always delivered! We have had a handful of issues over those 8 years, and the support is always there. Not long after moving, we moved off a VPS. The switch over to a dedicated server was painless. The support has remained as awesome all the way through. Justin, Scott, and the rest of the team are super responsive, and you get a reply on their ticket system very quickly.

We have used many hosting companies in our line of work, and we have not used one better than BigScoots. Whenever possible, we move all of our customers onto our hosting. Every time, we can offer fast, reliable hosting that we know will just work.

There are cheaper options out there, but you get what you pay for with hosting. If you go for the cheapest solution out there, don't expect fantastic support. I would rather have awesome support anytime, as a website that is constantly down will cause your business to lose more money than you ever saved with cheaper hosting. If your website is always down, it will also lose trust. You can't buy that back.

I have been with Bigscoots for 2 years…

I have been with Bigscoots for 2 years now after moving from Kinsta. They are the premium option for sure when it comes to performance. The customer service is just slightly behind Kinsta who have a very high standard but when called upon can go 'above and beyond' to fix bugs. Justin and Scott (the owners) are guns.

I changed this review from 1 star to 3 stars, as the CEO has contacted me, explained me that this was an extraordinary event that only affected my server and it will not happen again. He also offered 3 months free.
They have been ok up until this event which is why I am updating the review, and if it doesn't happen again, I will revise it.

Do not fall for the 99.99% Uptime Guarantee.
Both of my websites are down for more than 5 hours and nobody is doing anything to resolve this. A refund of a month's fee is worthless when your sites are down for that long. I'm losing a lot more than their monthly fee.
