Bike Club UK Avis 

We have been a customer for many years, maybe 7 years now? The cost was very reasonable when we joined first but now it's just too expensive. The cost to return the bike is now £35, after paying monthly for a bike for 2 or 3 years this is just excessive. We have therefore returned the two bikes we had (£70!!) and have opted to buy as this is unsustainable cost wise. Shame as its a great idea 💡 but in reality the costs are now too high.

Think about the RETURN and DELIVERY and
EXCHANGE fee when signing up. Your kids will outgrow the bike quickly as the bikes dont come with handles that can go up so you will need to change the bike and it will cost you.
Have been a customer for over 2 years now so practically paid for rhe bike.
Worse you have to pay 35 for the return. And since we had two bikes for our two kids paid 70 to return.

In theory this is a great service and 4 years ago when we first found these guys the idea was great and worked well. Now my daughter has grown out of the 2nd bike and the payments are so high each month that the value of the bike does not relate to the amount of time you have it. I'm sure when we first joined we had the option to keep the bike once paying off the value. This now does not seem to be the case and we have had no communication to advise us otherwise. I am currently trying to return the bike and the courier company ARROW XL they use for collection are the very worst company with such bad reviews and failed collections their communication is very bad for instance i have been on hold for 3 hours and still am told I'm 33rd in the que. Their online webchat does not work. On top of that The Bike Club charge £35 collection fee and expect the bike to be returned washed/clean and parts dismantled for the privilege.
The bike club also now do not communicate. i have emailed 3 times with no response and they do not have a phone number. POOR POOR SERVICE.

A good idea, but not very good value for money.

I feel a little aggrieved by my experience, we have had a bike for 24 full months, costing us around 2x the face value of the actual bike, then have had to pay another £35 on top to return it at the end of the scheme as I simply can't justify continuing it.

For context, our son had his first bike from 4 years old til 6 and for the best part of the first year used it intermittently, and didnt really start using it "properly" until maybe 8 months ago.

I would strongly consider just buying a cheap bike for a younger child, I was bought in by the constantly replace them for larger bikes as thye grow etc. Being a keen cyclist myself and knowing that they are very good bikes, but the truth is. . . a kid this age doesnt know the difference. Plus, we were never once contacted by Bikeclub to double check that the bike remained the appropriate size etc. Unless you are quite well off and money is no object, its a bit of a rip off.

Anyway, thats my experience.

Fantastic! Our third Bike Club bike. My son is so excited to swap bikes, and they have always been in such good condition (we get the refurbished Formes). He loves cycling so much, which I think is in no small part due to always having a good quality bike the right size for him. It is so easy to swap them when the time comes! Thankyou!!

Unfortunately our bike was delivered without the pedals but after a quick email to The Bike Club, a set of pedals arrived the next day.
We cannot fault this company. They are fantastic!

Easy to organise, affordable, better for the planet! Great service.

The team could not have been more helpful and responsive. I had a bike that had been damaged, and they not only advised the solution but then offered to pick up and exchange in one go with the next size bike.

Such a quick and easy service - very speedy and helpful responses to my questions. We have now received the bike and it's in perfect condition. My son loves it!

Option change is disappointing
Great service as always but disappointed that the option to keep the bike as we have previously has been removed From what I understand we just have to keep paying the monthly subsciption regardless of the bikes age. When my youngest grandson reaches his teens and is on one of the largest bikes we will not need to use the Bike Club. Think the success has made the Bike Club greedy and no longer portrays their original objective.

We love BikeClub. Customer service is excellent. Fast and understanding that sometimes, you get a flat tyre and they sorted it. We have just traded up to a bigger bike for our son, and the bike is brilliant. We love the idea of Bike Club and recommend it to our friends.

Great customer experience despite hiccup of first bike delivery (no pedals). Swiftly resolved and rectified. Good quality bike. Satisfied with the setup!

Everything has been super easy from setting up and getting started with my son’s first ever bike to 9 months later (with many adventures and memories to cherish forever!) getting his next bigger bike. The transition of exchanging the bike was incredibly smooth and hassle free, offering many different choices for the next size up he needed.
Not only this, but knowing the bikes are fully checked by professionals before arriving with us makes the whole experience stress free!
I recommend BikeClub to everyone… it is definitely worth it.. especially when you have a son who practically lives on his bike!

Fantastic customer service. An issue resolved almost immediately by being able to send a direct email to a real person that was understanding of the situation.
I would 100% recommend getting a bike from these guys!

Fantastic idea, fantastic service, very very happy. Forme Cubley 16 fits my little girl very well, she learned on a “stabiliser Halfords bike” but quickly outgrew that, in the two weeks we’ve had a proper bike she’s progressed so much. Thank you, you’re amazing.
