DON'T BUY THESE GLASSES - THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL
"DO NOT BUY THESE BLUE LUME LENSERA GLASSES THEY DO NOT WORK"
The product is nowhere near what they advertise.
Lensera – Blue Lume Glasses ARE A SCAM LIE
“Don’t buy these glasses they turn out to be 2.0 magnification for close-up work. To be frank about it, they weren’t very good for closeup even. The website is a giant Lie”.
I saw this product In an advertisement and it really sounded fantastic. According to the website: “The Blue Lume features self-adjusting technology that's 100% prescription-free - automatically adapting from -10 to +10 diopters instantly.
No more eye exams. No prescription updates. No multiple pairs. One pair adapts to 100% of your vision changes automatically.
The Blue Lume is designed for everyone who experiences fluctuating vision - whether it's nearsightedness or farsightedness.” (Copied directly from their website).
The glasses were inexpensive so I though, if they do what they claim to do, they would be well worth the money. So, I bought the 3- set of glasses package. Total cost with tax and shipping came to $114.96. The shipping was supposed to take 5-days including preparation. It ended up (shipping from China??? Another LIE) taking 15 days. I inquired several times about my order status and shipping tracking # which they promised and I never received.
When the package finally arrived, I immediately put them on to see how well they worked. What a let-down everything was blurry. I wore them for a while, checking by working on my computer, walking in the house, and finally going outside to see far distance. BLURRY for all functions.
So, I called the 1-888-828-3135 number on their Contact Us page of the website. All I could do is talk to Allie the AI bot. In her inhuman female voice she said she apologized for the mis-understanding but the glassed were only a 2.0 magnification and not intended for anything else but reading. She then offered me 20% refund and I keep the glasses. Of course I said NO. Then she offered me 40% off and I keep the glasses. Again I said NO. Then her final offer was 60% off and I keep the glasses. I said NO once again. I asked for a 100% refund and for them to send me a label to ship the worthless glasses back. She then said she would have customer support contact me by email with return instructions.
This is the email I received:
Hi John,
Following up on your call today. Thanks for calling, and I am sorry the glasses did not work out for you.
On the glasses: they are +2.00 reading lenses for close-up things like a phone or a book. They are not made to correct near and far vision, so distance can look blurry. I am sorry for the confusion there.
You declined the 60% offer, so here is how the return works:
• We do not cover return shipping or send a shipping label.
• Use any carrier you like with a trackable shipping service.
• In the package, include your full name, the email used on the order, and your order number 204899 (that is your return reference).
• The item must be unused and in its original packaging.
• Ship it to: 7233 Freedom Ave NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720
• Once it is delivered, send us the return tracking number so we can confirm it.
Your refund is $67.08. That is the order total minus the 15% restocking fee and the original shipping, and it also takes off the $22.99 already refunded to you. It is issued once the return is verified. After that it can take 2 to 5 business days to show, depending on your bank.
Please note we do not accept drop-offs at our location, and refunds cannot be processed if these steps are not followed.
Once it is on the way, I need the return tracking number and we will take it from there.
Thanks,
Customer Support
If we don’t hear back within 24 hours, we'll go ahead and close this ticket for now.

Best regards,

Nowhere on their site do they talk about the glasses being 2.0 reading Only (See above or better visit the site). Nowhere does it say 15% restocking fee, Nowhere does it say I have to cover the shipping for a pair of glasses that are not what they advertised. They do say that I have a:
TRY BLUELUME GLASSES FOR 90 DAYS
Wear them while reading, working, running errands, and spending time outside. If you are not satisfied, return them within the trial period for a full refund.
What a total and complete boldface bunch of lies.
“DO NOT BUY THESE GLASSES…THEY ARE NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM WHAT THEY CLAIM”.

I hope this review helps some people to AVOID this BLATANT SCAM.
