Same as the other reviewers. Purchased app expecting an immediate email with the license key and it doesn't acknowledge your payment, let alone email you anything. This is an obvious scam and I usually know better but was pressed for time. I'll be disputing the charge as soon as it posts and then also see what I can do about getting them banned from their merchant services provider. Oh, and the Contact page of their website gives a 404 error also.

I did receive a refund after letting the seller know I had posted a negative review on Trustpilot. It's unfortunate that is what it took to get a response and get my money back. I still cannot recommend anyone purchase this tool since it's clearly not being supported by the developer.

This is a TOTAL SCAM. I purchased the app and didn't receive a receipt or a way to download it. I emailed the "developer" aka scammer and received a key to download the app. It does not open. It does not work. I have emailed him everyday since and have received no response. Don't waste your time or money.

I should have look for it here. Now I just scammed by this app. BLURRRRRR!

I just purchased this app a while ago and I received no key! Not even an invoice! No email response! Beware!!

IndianAppGuy Tech Pvt Ltd, emailed me with the reason behind the late response. He provided the right code this time and offer me extra key (which I don't think I need). This is a must app for everyone who works everywhere/anywhere, but with my experience, I hope it will improve more specially the customer service.
It’s best to message them first before buying, just to make sure they’re active and can respond to your order right away.

It seems this is a scam. I bought a licence online (20$) few days ago but never got the license key.
I've repeatedly tried to retrieve the license key from the "my account" page but never did receive anything.
i've also tried to contact support twice but also no reaction
Finally yesterday i've tried to get in touch with the email address mentioned on the "refund policy" page but again : no reaction.
I'll probably survive the 20$ but i'm pretty convinced that the whole thing is a scam, and would typically not recommend it anymore.

Perfect, does exactly what I needed to blur details while recording videos and live streaming. Thanks for your development!

The BlurScreen app is instead of a filter just a window above the screen.

I tried using it in a game but not only did the was the part of my screen clickable tabbing me out of the game whenever I tried to move my cursor to aim in the blurred area BUT the blurred area is frozen from the part that I tried to blur in the game's menu!

Sure the object I wanted to blur in the menu still exists in the game's matches as well but then I have a blue rectangle wherever I walk ingame. (Which I guess works in a way still.)

My main/standard problem is that I can target the BlurScreen-app by accidentally pressing the blurred rectangle when playing as well.

The tool works AWESOME! BUT!... You are supposed to get to use it on 3 computers. I did not get a license key when I purchased but after a few days the developer replied to me and fixed my license & everything works great!

the dev seems to have abandoned the project, and still accepting payments. it doesn't work super well. also there are a lot of things on their website that is broken as well.

Doesn't work, and customer support is unresponsive. Save your money. I sent many emails to sanska who blanked me. The review is honest and correct. Time is over.

I very much like that app. It helps you with a shortcut to get to presenter mode. Big kudos to the developer, hi has a very helpful and friendly personality and if you need help, he always supports till the solution is there. Thx a lot Sanskar

I am so excited to have found blurscreen.app. I own an online school and I give feedback using loom. Sometimes I share those pictures with other students and I needed to be able to hide names and email addresses. It is so awesome and easy to use. And the technical support, I can't say enough about Sanskar Tiwari. He went way above and beyond to help me solve my situation which ended up being my error not the app. Amazing company and support.

Sanskar Tiwari's excellent app BlurWeb now has a sibling called BlurScreen, which lets you blur anything on your screen before you record a screenshot or video. Quick and easy to use, this affordable and simple app is an essential tool for anyone who shares content using screenshots or videos of their screen containing sensitive information and/or identifiable faces or places. Sanskar responds quickly to queries and is very helpful. Highly recommended.

This is a review of a new product recently released by Sanskar Tiwari called BlurScreen.
In a nutshell what this simple app does (it lives in your Mac launchbar) is to allow you to blur out any area of your screen that might contain information you do not wish to share.
Use case you ask?
Well, I for one create a lot of videos doing product reviews. I typically will have my computer screen behind me while I appear superimposed over whatever I'm talking about.
That being the case, I often need or want to be able to blur out the URL of the site I'm on.
Or perhaps I would want to blur out information about a person, company or purchase details.
BlurScreen is ideal for this.
With BlurScreen you simply invoke it via a hot-key (set by you) and then 'draw' a rectangle around any area you want to have blurred out.
You can of course set the opacity of the blur from transparent (no blur at all) to 100% - totally covered up.
Further, you an 'extinguish' the blur you've set via another hot-key (again determined by you.)
The only thing I've found (and I'll be in touch with the developer about this) is that when canceling your blur, all blurred areas you have set are cleared simultaneously.
I would prefer an option that would allow you to either un-blur selectively, or perhaps to un-blur in reverse order you'd set to be blurred.
Also, any area blurred by BlurScreen will be blurred on any screen you bring up until cleared.
On a side-note he also makes (and I use) a utility called BlurWeb.
This is basically the same as BlurScreen, but will not blur anything outside of a web page.
The advantage of BlurWeb is that whatever you blur within an individual web page does not 'carry over' to (for instance) the page on another tab.

Would I recommend BlurScreen - absolutely.
It is the best I've found at doing what it does, and if you have this need than I would highly recommend it.

It's crazy that such an important little utensil didn't see the light of day sooner, now that I have it (coupled with the blurweb.app extension) I can't do without it, I take screencasts every day, whether it's describing bugs or doing a tutorial and it's reassuring to be able to blur certain parts of what is displayed, and what it is even more, is that Sanskar, its developer, takes care of its customers, so go ahead and buy this app if your privacy is important to you!
