Boldivasilk Avis 4

The seller is very unresponsive. I placed an order two weeks ago and I have not even received confirmation that it has shipped yet. I sent the seller three messages and I have not gotten a single reply.

Update: I finally received a reply that my package will be coming soon. I will update this again after I receive it.

Further update: after 3 weeks+ since my order, it finally got delivered today.

My order took way too long to arrive. It was supposed to be free shipping but the sender (in BC) did not attach enough postage and did not include a return address, which meant if I wanted the item I had to pay the shipping.
No contact phone number on the website, and replies to emails takes days if you get one. I'll never buy from them again.

I placed an order to Europe, but even after several weeks, it did not arrive. I contacted the shop and the owner responded immediately, found out that the carrier probably lost it, and sent me a full refund. I am sad that I could not try the product as I was looking forward to it, but giving 5 stars because of the fast and transparent communication.

I am located in the UK, and couldn’t find bonnets of this style made from real silk from within the UK, I then looked internationally and BoldivaSilk was the first (and only) company I could find that made these types of bonnets in silk that shipped to the UK. I found them on Etsy but then searched for their website in google in order to buy directly. I was a little worried about ordering from a small business that isn’t located in the UK, but I am happy and grateful that my experience went smoothly and positively!

I ordered the double layer bamboo tie bonnet in both L and XL. Unfortunately the L was out of stock in the colour I wanted. Ajibola offered some different options but I asked if they could just send the L when it comes back in stock in the colour I want. Ajibola was happy to do this for me and sent out the XL shortly after. Delivery took 11-12 days (which isn’t bad at all considering the distance!), and the bonnet was worth the wait! It’s high quality and comfortable to wear, the colour is lovely and it’s flattering. I’m sure that it’s real silk after comparing it to my old polyester satin bonnet, and my silk pillowcase. The material is nice and light and breathable, and there is such a difference compared to polyesters satin. I am very happy that I decided to search for silk and grateful that I found BoldivaSilk.

I fold the bamboo band over the silk so that only the silk is touching my hair. When I wear my hair down I won’t fold it so that there is more space for my hair in the bonnet. You can essentially choose how roomy you want it to be. Because you can fold it, I decided that I didn’t need the additional size Large, but that I still wanted an additional bonnet for when this one is in the laundry, so I asked Ajibola to change my order and she was happy to do so. It is rare for businesses to be so friendly and accommodating, so it’s been a lovely experience!

The only thing that could be improved is the website - it’s a little tricky to navigate. For example, the only way to find the double layer bamboo tie bonnet is by searching for it or looking under the “all products” category, but it would be good to see a “bonnets” category, or a “tie bonnets” category. I also had to check and double check that I had the correct items in my cart because there are multiple listings for the same product but with slightly different titles, which is a little confusing at first. It’s not a big deal, and it’s easy to figure out after a minute or two - my biggest concern is that someone may miss out on these bonnets because they might not be able to find the product they want!

I am very happy with my bonnet and my experience overall. I feel this bonnet will last for a long time, but should I need to purchase more items like this or additional silk items in the future, I will be coming back to BoldivaSilk.

I have left the same feedback on their website but wanted to leave feedback on TrustPilot too because there wasn’t any. The first thing I do when ordering online is check TrustPilot, but there were no reviews for this site. Because the Etsy shop had lots of good reviews I decided to purchase anyway and I am glad I did.
