Ordered a book. It never came. Contacted customer service and received no response. One month later still no book. Definitely a scam, just disappointed I fell for it!

SCAM! Iwish that I had read the reviews before ordering.
Like everyon else I placed and order. Received an acknowledgement from an obviously dishonest company.
I wish Amazon would take civil action against these criminals There are so many now

Ordered a 24 pound book, no sign of it. I also don't seem to have any 24 pounds taken out of my bank acc which is wierd, wish i would've seen reviews before ordering. A big waste of time.

Ordered on the 21st, received a confirmation email. It’s now the 28th and no sign of the books that should arrive within 4 days. No payment appears to have been taken but just a waste of everyone’s time!

If there were a negative rating I'd give it. Bookdp.co.uk is a complete scam.

Sad to add to the litany of woe below. Ordered book. Never came. No response from customer service. Zombie website, it seems. Though you do get an order confirmation email.

Same as recent reviews here. Wish we had checked Trust Pilot first. Ordered book, it never arrived (almost 1 month later). But it doesn't look like any payment was taken. Avoid this website.

BookDP UK and Australia are no longer actively trading (Jun 2026) but the ghost website is still running.
Amazon, the parent company, recently sacked a bunch of employees, so it is likely the same has happened to the US site, "The lights are on but nobody is home" Avoid at all costs.

I placed an order and received a confirmation email, but the book never arrived. I made numerous attempts to contact the company via email, but every message was returned as undeliverable. Fortunately, I was not charged for the order.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing from this company. The lack of communication and inability to contact them raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of their operation.

The book didn’t arrive but they took the money. It’s a scam website, never respond to emails either.

I ordered a book, received an order confirmation but it never arrived. I had no response when i emailed them. After checking my bank account it looks like the payment wasn't taken (fortunately!).

Why is this site still being allowed to operate? I didn't see these reviews until I checked following a long wait for an order. So disgusting that they are allowed to get away with this.

Can't give no stars. This is a scam site trying to look like the Amazon book depository which has been liquidated. I narrowly avoided losing almost £50 to this scam.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a fake or semi-dormant business. I ordered and paid for a book, it never arrived (2 months later). There's no way to track what happened. They don't respond to my emails.

Do not buy from this company, they do not honour your purchases and they do not respond to your emails . There is no other way to contact them. They have stolen my money

Despite all the true reviews that this is a scam, and many people reporting this company, unfortunately I fell for it also without seeking reviews first, and same experience, depite a confirmation email, money taken and still no book after several months and no response from the only email available.
Its a sad state of affairs that pretty much everything advertised on Facebook, including those with a genuine appearing website, are scams.
My only resolution and advice to others is only buy from individuals that respond to contact on FB, never buy anything from commercial ads on FB.

Absolutely disgusting, scamming people. I brought the peppa pig 50 red box for Autistic niece who is completely obsessed with these books as her currently ones have been used that much she needs a new box. I have searched and searched everywhere for this box and everywhere is out of stock. I finally come across a site that looks pretty legit didn’t even think to look at reviews as looked decent enough. But after a month of waiting and no response I come across reviews of the site.

Now out of £28 that won’t get back.

Vile that there is people out there setting up fake sites and scamming people.

First, I've read the reviews, and I'm not sure this is a fake website. Perhaps more like a business that closed down without taking down its website. Maybe. Maybe not. I placed an order in October 2025, but have not received the item. According to my account, it still states the order is being processed. No replies to my emails. If it were a fake website, they would have stolen the money, but my account remains untouched. I believe the company has suspended business, which is why the order is stuck in processing. So yes, do not order from this website, but fingers crossed, they don't take the money. I will update this review if they do.
