Bad service

Difficult to navigate website. Non intuitive layout and UI. The website is slow and unresponsive. Not able to link Stripe due to broken link. Terrible customer service, waiting for days without a response. When responded, quick unhelpful answer, closing the ticket without reaching a resolution.

Daniel was brilliant

Daniel was brilliant, he came online really quickly, had all the information in front of him that he needed within seconds, and changing my booking was completely stress free and no issue at all. So polite and friendly, really makes a difference when you feel that you are stressing because you need to change something, so if I could give Daniel 10 stars I would. Thank you :-)

Poor communication

This company is used by a child’s play centre to book sessions online. The owner mentions booking Ninja isn’t the correct company and I don’t have an account. However, the play centre website literally says at the bottom ‘powered by booking ninja’ with the same logo. How the company deals with the data at the other end really isn’t my business. But the business I will review is the one advertised on the website. I had an issue over a month ago where I was unable to access help through the online chat as the response time was so poor. This meant I lost out on the booking and therefore wasted money. It was a weekend, the play centre wasn’t open and the booking was for the Monday morning, hence why I couldn’t contact the venue directly and contacted the company I made the booking through. The booking system says they respond to messages quickly (within a few minutes actually) so I’m not sure why it’s such a shock that I used this channel to alter (not cancel) my booking. The message on the chatbot does now say it doesn’t deal with cancellation. But at the time of my booking this wasn’t the case. I did get a response from the company asking for more details during that weekend. these were given but a further response did not appear. I initially gave a one star rating on trust pilot. This then got the attention of the owner who agreed to refund the lost money and seemed to want to improve the service. I decided to take down my review. Since then (20th October) I have not received the refund. The owner asked for my bank details and I didn’t receive any correspondence since then. The owner has since said he was on holiday but no out of office message was received. As the owner has stopped replying to my emails, unfortunately, I have no choice but to resubmit the original review. *update* The owner said I submitted this review after the refund but this isn’t the case. As Trustpilot can see I submitted this on Saturday 29th November. The owner then emailed me on Sunday 30th to advise the refund had been issued. To me, as the customer that comes across as a refund being issues because a review was left…

We obviously disagree on many of the facts of this; but to summarize we refunded you out of our own pocket for a mistake you made during a non refundable booking.

I'm sorry if the speed of the refund wasn't too your liking but ultimately any refund from us was a gesture of good will rather than an obligation we have. It's worth stressing that at any point you could have contacted the venue directly. You are correct in that we've further updated the messaging on the Livechat to stress that it's for technical issues not refund requests, but I'm unsure why if not getting a response for a time sensitive matter you'd not contact the venue in question.

We do not take the payment for bookings (the venue gets payments directly) and as such setting up a 'refund' takes time. I stand by we went above and beyond here with offering you a refund; I can assure you with no shred of doubt no other platform would have done in the same circumstance and ultimately the fact we received a 1 star here is likely while we'll never go above and beyond again because it clearly blew up in our face!

Brilliant since day one

Been brilliant since day one. We have been with them for over a year and a half now. We are a children's role-play village, and just when you think you have everything, they bring something new into their service that makes your facility even better. Can’t recommend them enough if you have this type of facility. Thank you again.

Hi.

Sorry you didn't get the setup experience you deserved and were looking for. I think by the other reviews here on Trustpilot hopefully you and others can see this was a far from normal experience. I won't go into detail but ultimately when it comes to setup they are handled one on one, and you were working with myself directly to get everything configured. Alas during this process I caught Sepsis and was admitted to hospital. BookingNinja isn't a huge company and when something quite so unexpected happens we do have to shift things around to make sure that the day to day operations of our venues aren't impacted.

Emergency support cover was added but ultimately the decision was to ensure we focus on any queries from people actively taking bookings rather than still going through setup. I understand you paid; and I did in fact email you during my hospital visit to tell you your payment has been refunded - though I did not hear back.

Up until this event I believe you were receiving industry leading support; and I apologise that it happened, though I do believe the right choices were made in terms of ensuring current setups remained operating smoothly; and I tried my best to rearrange everything as best as possible even getting in touch with yourself from a rather uncomfortable NHS bed! Still; I get that none of that is your concern, and ultimately as stated I've fully refunded your account, reached out multiple times to see how you'd like to proceed and have heard nothing back.

You mention that you were unable to setup; that isn't correct. Our setup and support on the plan you subscribed to is very much self-service; There is *nothing* you can't do yourself on BookingNinja during the setup process (with the aid of the help docs) and though I was guiding you through it's meant to be handled in a degree by yourself. I'll ensure this is made more clear; and I will be more selective about the type of setup help I do offer. I apologise for how this is communicated.

It sucks the first negative review we've received is under such circumstances, but thus are the realities of running a small business I suppose. The alternative is I make the whole setup process less human and more of a generic flow through automated systems, but in the grand scheme of things this negative review is a blip againts what has otherwise been very kind and thoughful messages in the past week so!

I wish you all the best going forward, and I hope you find a platform that works for you. As always my offer remains if you need any help (be it transfering away, or with setup) then I'll be here the best of my ability.

Everything we needed and more!

Booking Ninja has been incredible for us. As a Board Game Cafe that runs different events every day we had very specific and niche needs. Rob and the team were able to adjust the front and back end of the system to really suit our bespoke needs. Couldn't ask for better customer service and the price is incredibly reasonable. Great service

I had a fantastic experience with Daniel at Booking Ninja. His support and assistance were second to none—he saved me a huge amount of time and had the system up and running in no time. Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient throughout the entire process. I’m genuinely impressed with the level of service I received and would highly recommend both him and Booking Ninja to anyone looking for fast, effective support.

Exceptional Service!

I needed to build an online booking system for my swimming pool. I contacted the market leading company who said my business turnover wasn’t great enough for them to be interested but then they very kindly recommended Booking Ninja.
I went to the Booking Ninja site, which I found extremely simple and logical to navigate. However, I needed some help to build the app. Enter Dan.
I started an online chat and Dan came back to me immediately. He was incredibly helpful, understanding, patient and efficient. The end result was that, within a couple of hours, we had my booking system up and running brilliantly.
I’m so grateful for the fantastic support. Thank you, Dan!!

Fantastic, personal service for a new business

We've been with Booking Ninja for 3 months now, and came to them from a much larger organisation and we're very happy to have made the switch. We've found the software does everything we need with more features on the way and after some initial training, is easy to use with plenty of customisation for our business. Our customers have also been very happy with the booking process through the system.

Like any tech, it's had the odd minor wobble but usually resolved within minutes. I have even messaged the team late at night, and they've got back to me almost straight away which is hugely appreciated for a new and small business like ours.

Dan & Rob are always on hand to help and have introduced some upgrades already on the back of our feedback to better support our business.

It's been a fantastic move for us and we love the friendly, personal service we get from Booking Ninja and have already recommended them to others.

A fantastic easy to use booking system…

A fantastic easy to use booking system with great features. The team at Booking Ninja seamlessly moved all my bookings across from my old ticketing system and their customer service has really put me at ease whilst I got to grips with everything. There are so many features and the back end of the system makes setting up events and play sessions really simple. My customers love the front end of the system which makes the booking process a pleasurable journey.

Highly recommend BookingNinja

I worked with their amazing team on changing some coding to accommodate US times and pricing. Their help team is always ready to help. Should we ever open a new spot, I'd go back to them in a heartbeat!

Not easy to raise an issue with customer service. Wrong charges applied to account. Clunky tech. I would recommend consumers fully researching the market prior to using this business.
