I signed up with Bookwave in August. The project manager, Alister, after he received the completed manuscript SAT ON IT, for weeks, which made my book miss its promised launch date. It was supposed to be released on my birthday. His negligence, and constant trying to force other packages down my throat, looking to make more money has left the worst taste in my mouth towards the company. They begged me to give them 48 hours to make it right, 5 days later, it still wasn’t right, still not available online, and not a single person had read the manuscript. Guess what? They also promised me a complete refund, no questions asked. I’m still waiting a month later. Please find another company. I also didn’t mention how Alister repeatedly tried to tell me I owed twice as much on the book balance as I did too. He was also trying to sell me a 10,000 marketing package, which being a first time author, you don’t need, they were attempting to further fleece me. I won’t even bother going into detail about how he and the owner of the company pressed me to buy a 3500 podcast spot too. They literally grilled me about my finances, asking me where my money was. This has been a total nightmare, and a ruined dream.
