Exceptionally poor customer service

Boot Buddy had been completely ignoring my numerous emails about an issue, for 10 days. I then submitted a (not complimentary) review to their chosen review platform, called Judge.me - and within 30 minutes I had a response from Boot Buddy and then a promised refund of the item I had an issue with. (Update on that below.) I don’t believe these timescales are coincidental, because they have also chosen NOT to publish my review on that platform (yes, the store can actually choose whether to allow their reviews to be published on judge.me or not!). It’s also very interesting to see that Boot Buddy has flagged four of its 1 star reviews in the past 12 months on this platform (Trustpilot) in attempts to get them removed - and every one of their objections has been found to be invalid. I really did expect a lot better from this company and am extremely disappointed by their indifference towards customers. UPDATE ON PROMISED REFUND: No refund was processed despite their promise. All my emails were once again completely ignored until I threatened legal action when I then (I’m sure not by coincidence for a second time!) received an email saying a refund has been processed (nothing received yet - will continue to monitor).

One month no product or refund

Ordered products 10th November , chased after 2 weeks as non delivery , received a reply a few day late to advise system problem which was in the process of being sorted , 1 week later no products or update chased again and was told products out of stock so refund would be issued , ( this was a Friday and all refunds done on Sundays ) no acknowledgement of refund completed so chased again and was told my details would be passed on to the refund team and I would be updated . As of Monday 8th December no further updates and no refund . I will now have to use my bank for chargeback of my 47.00 . Absolutely shocking customer service , lots of apologies but no action. no contact number for them all correspondence via email .

Avoid

I ordered the sizzle buddy and boot buddy on 26th Nov. Hadn't heard anything by 2nd Dec so emailed them. Found out one item was now out of stock. I replied saying to carry on with the other item and refund the out of stock item, which was promised to be despatched within 24hrs. 48hrs later and still no sign of despatch. Emailed again on 4th Dec to cancel the whole order and get a refund. Was told refund would be processed by end of the week. Still no sign of my refund. Since I paid through PayPal, I have opened a case with them to get my money back.

Communication poor

I ordered a package deal with the different brush heads. Received on Fri 28th Nov. Opened package and everything was fine apart from the original brush head attached to the boot buddy. It’s all bent and out of shape. I emailed the company with photos as proof, not long after it was delivered (good job I opened it straight away to check!)
So far all I have is that they will investigate and then decide. You would have thought the photos would be proof enough, considering I messaged them almost immediately after receiving the package. No timescale given, I replied asking how long and still no reply.
It’s been a week now, I thought this would be sorted by now. It also feels like I’m being ignored.
2 stars mainly due to poor communication, and if I’m honest, the product doesn’t seem like good quality at all, but perhaps fine with the sale price. I only got it because it was a Christmas present request.

Edit: I have now had a response and apparently “ For the bristles, it will be back on form, it's just need to be used and in a bit wet and the bristles will go back in place”. This is supposed to be a Christmas gift. How embarrassing that I have to give substandard product.

Order at your own risk!

Bought the £35 package deal

Bought the £35 package deal, sent in a very cheap box none of the items were individually wrapped or protected. 2 of the sprays were damaged. I have emailed them stating the poor condition of the parcel. I have had an email back as an apology and that they will make sure they improve. I have photos for proof.

Very disappointed.

Very disappointed.

Bought one of these after a friend recommended it. I thought, by looking at the website, that these mats covered the bumper of the car slightly to give the dog some grip when jumping in. They don't. I bought one specifically for my car, but it's actually much too small, and my dog hates the slippery surface. He's even more reluctant to jump in the car, so I had to take it out. A total waste of £45!!

Really regretting my first purchase…

Really regretting my first purchase with this company - bought the sizzle buddy on 29th may in time for Father’s Day - it was shipped the next day which was super fast but the courier have then just let them down. It sat unmoved at the depot until 5th June when I emailed the company for support. I got a reply 4 days later asking me to wait a further 3 days for “investigation”. Today I’ve received a reply stating (and despite the tracking still not having updated…) that they’ll accept the investigation and the courier will pay out a claim to them on the proviso I sign a document IN WRITING! Only then will I get a replacement item sent. What a waste of paper that would be.
The document is long winded and really makes the customer feel like a criminal, stating if you are falsifying a claim it could lead to prosecution. It feels so hugely extreme for a) an order that has never even been marked as out for delivery and b) a product whose cost price is probably pence versus the £20 I paid.
The whole thing is such a horrid experience for a customer that I’ve asked for a refund - which I’ve now been told will take 15 days. So by the time I get back the whole fiasco would have taken a month from when I ordered and I now have to sort a Father’s Day gift with a few days to go!

Please do not waste your time or money with this company.
The agents are polite but ultimately the companies best interests aren’t in supporting the customer

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Awful customer service. DO NOT ISE THIS WEBSITE!
Ordered a BBQ Buddy on May 21st, so it would come in time for Fathers Day…
Have been waiting 3 weeks now for the BBQ Buddy. Was supposed to be delivered last week after ordering 2 weeks prior- spoke to Alfie in customer services on Tuesday 3rd and he told me that evri had a failed delivery attempt (they hadn’t attempted at all I was in all day)
He told me they would deliver it on Wednesday… they didn’t and was given same excuse told it would be delivered Thursday … same excuse!
Emailed twice on Friday and my emails were ignored. Have emailed today (Monday 9th June) and both my emails have been ignored as well as a message that I sent them on instagram direct.

So now I am extremely annoyed that they are withholding my refund which I requested on Thursday 5th June & they are ignoring all of my emails now.
I would absolutely say DO NOT ORDER from this website. Customer service is not upto standard and the fact that they are now refusing the product which I have paid for & the refund is fraud.
So I will be contacting Trading Standards with my issue.

Excellent product Excellent Service

I love boot buddy’s we have lots in the family. Used mine so much it wore out. So ordered another one , didn’t realise my wife wanted one as well. So contacted them to see if cheekily I could use the 50% off a second one checkout offer, retrospectively. Austin said of course sent me a payment link and they arrived in no time at all - top product, top service

Not fit for purpose…water rushes out

Update 14/3 Boot Buddy have now been in touch and offered me either a replacement or a refund (with no need for return as they say they cannot resell unless have original packaging) and they want to ensure customer satisfaction so have amended review to reflect that.

I thought the product I received was faulty as the water gushes out and is not controllable. It either gushes or it’s closed, nothing in middle. I did raise this with them and after numerous emails they are insisting it’s meant to do this, refused me a replacement, and said I need to send it back unused and in original packaging for a refund. If it’s not faulty then it’s really rubbish and not fit for purpose. Wish I had read these reviews rather than social media ones before ordering.

IT DOESN’T WORK. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

IT DOESN’T WORK. To add insult to injury they deleted my negative review on Facebook. I tried cleaning my very muddy wellies, the scraper wasn’t particularly successful and then I got the mud all over my hands as I had no way of cleaning it off the scraper. The brush and water just spread the mud around on my welly and all of the water got used up on one welly. It certainly isn’t as easy as the videos show. A reply to my comment on Facebook explaining what I had done wrong would have been much better than just deleting it leading me to realise that I have been well and truly conned.

Bought one of these and they 'lost' it then lied.

Bought one of these and they 'lost' it, they then lied to me multiple times in support about sending a new one and then claiming fulfilment issues. When I asked for a refund it was magically shipped so unable to refund (though I have no evidence that it has been shipped)

Almost a month on and i'm yet to see the product or the refund that I asked for.

Your original order was placed on 14/02, and you contacted us on 23/02 for an update. Upon checking the tracking, we found that the parcel had been lost in transit, so we processed a replacement on 25/02.

On Friday 28/02, we responded to your email regarding a delay caused by an issue with our fulfillment team. A tracking reference had already been assigned, but the parcel was awaiting resolution before it could be collected by the courier.

The issue was resolved on Sunday night, 02/03, and your parcel was shipped on Monday, 03/03. Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel the shipment at this stage. The only available option is for you to refuse the parcel upon delivery.

We already contacted the courier to request the delivery be stopped, but this is not guaranteed. We recommend keeping an eye on the tracking for updates.

Thank you for your understanding and apologies for the delay and inconvenience this has caused.

Slow Delivery and Poor Communication

Website orders are dispatched same day if ordered before 9pm. It's been over 5 days and my order still has not been dispatched. I have tried to cancel the order for the second time and still no response.

UPDATE - Was promised a refund on 10\02\25 and as of 04/03/25 no refund has been received. I would avoid this company.
