I've had great experience with this app. You can borrow up to five books from your local library and either return them as soon as you finish reading, or they will be automatically returned (and will become unavailable on the app) once the loan period expires. I've had no technical issues with logging in or borrowing/returning books. Five stars.
Love it, rarely any problems, great variety of free audiobooks. How lucky we are to have it in the UK.
Features keep disappearing, error messages, age restrictions on educational texts, loans disappear… the list is endless :(
What went wrong THIS time? Thank you for asking - well this time it will not open it just sulks showing the city logo ( the one for the library I use).
I; cleard the cache, restated the app, restarted my phone, forced stop, contacted borrobox's alleged 'help'. All day.
I hate this app so much! It is useless, it wont even save your spot when you off a book so you have to listen to the same paragraph for ever.
Don't do this to yourself! Get a diffent one!@
probably the worst app I have ever encountered, just to simply renew is an absolute nightmare involving several apps and repeated passwords that don’t work, worst experience ever
I find this to be an excellent app - and free! It has only dropped a star because I am unable to delete my ebook loan history. I use it for audio books but frequently accidentally order an ebook instead. There is a blip in the programme where although I choose audible book, at the next stage it reverts to ebooks. Consequently I have a long list of ebooks in my history which I have cancelled before even downloading
BorrowBox is a third rate Ap. Libby is so much better the Harrods of electronic books where as BorrowBox in like a very poor imitation which doesn’t reach the mark.
I'm very happy to borrow and read books online
But Borrowbox is a disaster
I had to do a yearly renew a few weeks ago
Now it keeps locking me out while I'm happily reading my book!
While reading it locks me out and asks for a new password
Tells me after 1x that i tried to log in too many times and wait 1 hour
When the hour is passed and I'm in again with the old password it tells me i downloaded the book i was reading too many times and i have to reserve it again
Please please get another app!!!!
