Brick Fest Live Avis

On arrival, we were told that the VIP package had been “upgraded” and were told that it was “WAY BETTER” by the only staff member we interacted with that day that didn’t seem like they were waiting to kill themselves.

The event was sparsely attended, which was understandable once we started walking around. I’ve seen more thought put into high school science fair projects than was put into the layout of this event.

Their customer service is straight trash. The event was straight trash. They aren’t affiliated with LEGO, and it is painfully evident. Save your money and purchase an actual LEGO kit, build it, and skip anything associated with these jokers.

Brickfest is a fantastic event. We've been going for three years. There are lots of build stations, activities, and displays. Plan on 1.5-3h for your trip, depending on your child's attention span.

All about the vendors. Waste of money. If a real lego fan ... avoid.

If I could rate 0 I would. Please DON’T waste your money. Today we attended the brick festival at the ICC Newport. We paid £18 for a family ticket and £7 parking. It was sold as:

‘A LEGO fan event dedicated to all things brick! This will be a great day for families, With lots to see and do including speed building competitions, large scale displays, activities, traders selling loose bricks, new LEGO sets, retired LEGO sets, minifigures.

In reality there was absolutely nothing included for kids, went to every stall and didn’t see building competitions at all, there were absolutely zero large build displays. There were builds but not on the scale described in the write up or marketing pictures. The activities resulted in a small scavenger hunt, sounds excited it wasn’t and didn’t take very long.

In all honestly I paid £25 to gain entry to a shop, where some of the sellers had dramatically inflated the price.
Not a great day out for families at all and tbh save yourself the bother and take your child to the Lego shop and give them the £25.

I bought these tix for 2 of my adult children to both take a friend. From what they told me...it was totally NOT worth the money for adults. I asked them if they would go again and they said definitely not. Not for the money.

Fun afternoon

All staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. The facility was clean and easy to maneuver. My son and I had a great time.

Both watching the kids (of all ages) assembling the legos and doing it ourselves. Made me feel like a kid again.

The worst organised event I've attended. We stood in the cold and rain in a queue that snaked for hundreds of yards for at least an hour. When we finally joined the other snake in the sports hall there was one chap scanning tickets, stamping hands and holding the open with one foot. The event was disappointing but my grandson was excited so,some mitigation. I will never take him to this "festival" again.

Way overpriced and definitely not for adults. 75% of it was for kids, which is cool, but I’ve been in the past and there were a lot more exhibits and things to look at for adults. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money this time around. We stayed 30 minutes and didn’t even need that long to experience everything.

I went to a brick fest yesterday at Birmingham and I was robbed blinded, I brought two sets that I was told was rare and one retired, even had a retired label on it, I paid £60 for the so called retired set and £25 for the other apparently rare set. Once I got home all excited with my finds I decided to google them, to my horror I was completely robbed, the apparent retired set was in Argos and Amazon for £30 and I paid £60 and the rare one I found for as cheap as £9:99 I couldn’t believe they get away with lying to people. If you do go to one of these events do not buy anything it’s a ripoff I’m so gutted.

Great setup with plenty of activities for the builders of all ages. The display builds were impressive and it was great to see the info on how many bricks were used and the time it took to complete.

The easinss of getting in and seeing all there was to see.

some of the things that made it a great experience was the animal lego statues and meeting a lego master. also doing the activities.

Would give zero stars if I could
Columbus Ohio event cancelled without any notice NO notice found out from a friend had to call the convention center-no email from Brickfest or the ticketing company!
Definitely want a refund not dealing with a company that doesn’t notify event goers of a cancellation. There is no weather issues today either to blame it on the security officer said it was a “scheduling problem” and the convention center had another event going on???
Seems like a money grab SCAM!

The layout and people helping with the event were great and excited

It was definitely more for kids than adults that love Legos. Maybe doing an adult section? I would like to see more builds like the 3 headed dog. Love the car derby. It was a great event.

Our ticket time was 11:30. The line was so long that it took an hour and 15 minutes to get to the door. We thought we'd see lots of Lego builds. We saw maybe 8 big displays and 10 smaller. The majority of the events had long lines. The only thing that was accessible were the tables of Legos that you could build on. We could have done that at home. The Lego store had no prices on the products, so you didn't know how much it was going to cost. Food seemed way over priced. We paid $82 for the 3 of us to go. We didn't get the VIP experience, but we are glad we didn't because of the long lines. I've seen better displays of Legos at other events. We regret the time and money lost!

The lines were a bit slow due to inefficiencies at the stations and there are few places to sit and rest a while. However, the experiences were entertaining and engaging enough to be worth the price of admission. It's a fun time with the family despite the shortcomings of running it.
