Brierley Hill Self Drive Avis 

Booked online. Had the confirmation email. Turned up at booked time and was closed. No one answered the phones. Looks like they have gone out of business.

Booked van, went to collect the place was locked up! No answer on phone. Waited 40 mins no luck! Suspicious premises. Just laminate door sign and rusty crash damage white van with weeds growing through obviously Bern there for ages right next to door, as well as blue car with flat tyres and loads weeds. Concerned for identity fraud as I uploaded my driving licence and utility proof. Iv reported to police and trading standards along with the confirmation email which is very vague ! Avoid! Wish I had read the reviews properly as this has happened before. Avoid!

I hired a van from Brieley hill rental and i can say that the service wss extremly efficent and the van was just for the job. The receptionist that i dealt with was very helpfull, polite and a pleasure to talk to.I would recommend the company to others due to my experience and satifaction with regards the hiring process. There were no issues with the price and the deposit was given back within the stated time frame of 3- 5 working days. Well Done to Brierley Hill rentals will use again.

Brilliant, friendly, family run business. Perfect for our needs.

Went in a week before I was set to move house, gave ID, proof of address etc, booked the van there and then. Go to the week after when I turn up to collect the van, shutters down, nobody answering the phone. Managed to get through after multiple times. Said the van was at Kwik fit up the road getting a nail in the tyre repairs and the van was being done as we spoke. They then phoned back and said it wouldn't be available that day. Moving house this wasn't great, especially as they had time to let me know the morning of, so I could arrange something else. After this, the van was cancelled and we drove past the Kwik fit, behold there was no van there being done. Either they lied to my face or hired it to someone else and didn't tell me. Overall it was incredibly poor service, they didn't seem to care about their vehicles and were very uncaring if you hired their vans. Save your time and money, go somewhere else

Cheapest and most straight forward booking in the area, well priced and friendly staff - definitely recommend !

I booked by phone three days ago, for a pick up at around 5pm today. I called at 2.30pm to reconfirm and no reply. Called several times. No reply. I then decided to drive over at 4.30 pm and it was closed. I hung around for half hour calling a dozen times. Left stranded with no van. I rented last year with no problems although the van was old and tired. I will not use any longer.

Extremely helpful, great service and very reasonable price for the type of vehicle we hired. We were picked up from the airport, driven to office and we where on the road in no time at all.

Terrible firm, £250 deposit paid, £120 for hire, van had seen better days, sounded like the gearbox was on its way out, rubbish left in back, refuelling is usually topping back up a full tank, not this one, it was on 4 bars so topped back to 4 bars, bit crafty you could be putting in more than you used..As for the deposit, been told it could take a week to get back, was not informed of this on receipt, won't be using again for sure!

I arrived, paid and was told I have their "new van". Scratched, dented, chipped windscreen. Nothing like the white vans with their logo all over the sides that were all around the industrial estate.

Van was disgusting. Filthy, dirty, ripped seats, rubbish left behind seats, rubbish left in glove box.

Advertised vans as having cruise control and air con. No cruise control, and air con didn't work.

Staff were friendly, which gained them a star, but I'll never go near them again. Theres a reason they're the cheapest. If I didn't need the van that day, I'd have walked away.

Unfortunately I can't add photos of the state of the van they gave me .... They're on the review I left on Google.
