I found Brilliant wood flooring from checkatrade and couldn't recommend more. Whilst laying wooden flooring is expensive, George and his team did a fantastic job.

Brilliant Wood Flooring are amazing and the best! I cannot praise George and his team enough - they are totally professional and have an immense knowledge of wood flooring! Our solid pine floors were left in a very bad state by contractors who said they could restore them but in fact had no experience and did an utterly botched job leaving them in a very bad state. Thankfully George and his team came to the rescue. In just one day they re-sanded, sanded in all the nooks and crannies that the other contractors didn’t do as they didn’t have the right tools, fixed all the uneven grooves, filled in the cracks properly, stained and lacquered. They left the floors looking beyond my expectations - just how I had imagined them to looks like, making the pine floors beautiful.
George is a magician when it comes to wood floors. He is hugely passionate and respectful of wood, takes great pride in his work and this shines through in the finished job. He is professional, has all the right equipment, is reliable, tidy and clean, and his prices are very reasonable. I live in a small house with lots of nooks and crannies. George and the team at BWF did a superb job sanding and varnishing the wooden floor areas and the staircases. The house looks like new again. I have no hesitation to highly recommend BWF

I just purchased a property and was lucky to find parquet flooring under the carpets. I got several quotes before going ahead with the work. George's attention to detail was absolutely excellent. He knew my floor before lifting the carpet fully back. He was very professional, knowledgeable and pointed out important factors that I had not considered! This company is a fraud. They advertise quality wooden flooring online and send you a sample of it but the actual wood you receive once you order full load and pay £££ is completely different from the sample and of a very low quality!! I am now recovering my money through PayPal and reporting them to the UK Trading Standards as after they’ve collected the order from my house themselves they still did not refund my money! I have full video footage and witnesses of the collection so the Police will be notified as well. Beware and don’t waste your time and money!

I'm delighted with my wooden flooring and would highly recommend George and the team at Brilliant Wood Flooring - from Gabriel who took many phone calls from me and the installation team. I did a lot of research before appointing George and met with several companies about the project (wooden flooring installation in my whole flat). From our first meeting, I had confidence in George's deep knowledge of his trade and in his ability to deliver my project. I needed to work with a very specific soundproofing product and George took personal responsibility to call the manufacturer and make sure his installation techniques were in full compliance with the soundproofing company's recommendations. He is passionate about what he does and very high standards for himself and his team. George ended up creating a custom colour for me based on some samples I had seen. He worked tirelessly to get the wood ready in time (I had family coming to visit and had a strict deadline for completion!). On the job, the Brilliant Wood Flooring team were polite, tidy and had a real 'nothing is a problem' mentality which was hugely comforting. As with any renovation project there were problems along the way but George took full responsibility for solving the issues.
My floors are really stunning and I get compliments from everyone who sees them. If you're looking for a talented, trustworthy, hardworking flooring expert, definitely call them!

I can not recommend George highly enough. He is very efficient and hard working and totally trustworthy. He did a fantastic job on my oak floors sanding and oiling them. He also managed to bring back an old wooden floor in my hallway by sanding oiling and a bit of patching in, making it look like new again. Excellent.

Had George and the team install a new engineered wood floor throughout our new flat, also replace the skirting and door frames. They did an amazing job, really happy with the work, looks fantastic, was completed quickly but didn't feel rushed, and they are all really nice guys. Would definitely recommend!
