When, subsequently, an issue arose from a circuit breaker activating in the gateway switch this was swiftly resolved.

I found the initial system proposal to be a bit ambitious so, after discussion, Matt came up with something more suitable for my needs. The price was easily comparable to other installers. Items such as bird guards were included. Matt was very helpful in clarifying how things would proceed and willingly made extra site visits to put my mind at rest. Installation went ahead without problems. Routing of cables was carefully considered resulting in a neat finish. The team were also mindful of the fact that they were working on an older roof. Setting up and using the App. needed some clarification but all is working well. Overall, no bells and whistles and no fuss. Just a straight forward case of getting on with the job. Thankyou.

Matt and team were used by PowerVault to replace the house battery. All went well, they did a good, tidy, job and I am pleased with their work.

I cannot praise Brimstone Energy enough for helping us navigate through what turned out to be a challenging installation. Three large national companies decided it was too complicated for them, one issued a contract but rescinded it without notifying us. I found Brimstone on the Which Trusted Trader site and turned to them as a last resort. Perhaps a smaller local firm would be more reliable? I found Matt quietly competent giving careful consideration to every aspect of the installation of the solar panels and the battery. Where other engineers cited problems Matt found solutions. Further challenges lay ahead as the original plans had to be abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances. This involved additional work and adaptations beyond the original contract. Brimstone Energy persevered to find the best outcome for us. Matt and the team at Brimstone Energy are friendly approachable and work hard to complete their work with as little disruption as possible. I am delighted that we are now generating our own power at last. I am pleased to have found Brimstone Energy who worked diligently and overcame many challenges to complete the installation to our satisfaction. We have considered solar many times over the years and now it was time to invest. With energy prices high and a whole system costing less than you think, we decided to take the plunge. Brimstone have been amazing, no drama, honest advice and all 7 of the workmen were lovely and cared for our property and were a pleasure to have around. We already see the benefits with a 20 panel system and 15kwh of storage, today alone has generated 35kwh of free electric! Thanks to Matt and the team for a stress free install and the recommended products are easy to use and great :)

I had been looking to get solar panels at my property for quite a while, and had chosen an installation through one of the big energy provider's affiliated solar specialists. However, I wasn't entirely happy with the proposed system and also the length of time it was taking to get an installation date. During that period I was recommended Brimstone by a friend and I am so glad I was. Matt was very knowledgeable and I am now very happy with the system installed. It was slightly more expensive than the other company but that was because the system was sized properly for our usage! Our oil boiler packed in and we needed to move away from oil fired central heating. We wanted a “slot-in system” which ruled out air source heating, so we enquired about the TEPEO ZEB system.

Matt and his team were professional at every point, and although our system is new and an array of three units relatively unusual, they approached the installation with confidence and successfully handed over the maintenance to TEPEO.

Matt, Sarah Jane and their team have provided an excellent service at a very reasonable price, despite difficulties with my garage roof and other issues. The original timetable for installation was very good and then improved upon at short notice, and post installation help has also been top rate. We realised that our solar panel reading had not changed in weeks. We contacted Matt who visited us promptly. He confirmed, as we suspected, that the inverter had failed. It was over 12 years old. He quoted a replacement and within a few days Matt came , removed the old one and fitted the new one. The system is now working fine. His cost to supply and install is in fact less than we originally paid 12 years ago! It was a job well done.

After much deliberation, we finally decided to invest in solar panels and battery storage to make our house more self sufficient, in uncertain times with energy prices going up and up. We spent several weeks researching various local independent companies as our system was not going to be a standard off the peg option due to the layout of our roof and wanting to put the array on an outbuilding but connected to the house. The reviews that we read regarding Brimstone Energy were all very positive and so we contacted Matt to visit and discuss our options and give us a quote. Matt was very professional and went through all the options (+'s and -'s) and costs. Although the Brimstone quote was not the cheapest option (or the dearest) we decided to go with them as they gave us the most detailed plan of the work needed and a breakdown of the costs involved plus a reasonable time line for installation. Once we had signed the contract we were given a firm date of installation and Matt arranged for the pre ground work (buried cables) and some of the electrical work to be completed a week prior. The installation of the panels went smoothly but we did have a problem with the battery. The battery was due to be delivered, directly from the supplier, a few days after the panels went up. Just prior to it being delivered, we were told that the company had folded that day, which was a total shock. Obviously this was beyond Brimstone Energy's fault but it did leave us in an awkward position. We asked Matt to visit and go through the options for a substitute battery of the spec that we had originally chosen, which he duly did and we were able to eventually proceed. Finally with a smallish delay, the job was completed and we are very pleased with our new system.

Brimstone (well Matt) were one of the few companies we requested quotes from that took the trouble to come and evaluate the request by visiting the property and listening to what we were looking for. They quoted us for both a heat pump to replace an old failing oil boiler and a solar panel array with battery.
There were a few issues with the suppliers originally proposed but Brimstone were quick to work through those and come up with alternatives, a good sign.
All the work was carried out in a very professional manner, very pleased with the result.

We asked Matt Hilton of Brimstone Energy to come and tell us why we were no longer getting energy from our solar panels. He came a few days later, established that the inverter had finally given up, and sent us a quotation for renewing it. The amount quoted was about a sixth of the amount suggested by two cowboys who had visited earlier under false colours. We paid a deposit and Matt came not long after and fitted the replacement inverter in a couple of hours. The system now works again.
We found Matt to be courteous, knowledgeable, honest, comptent and site-clean. What more could you ask for?
