I ordered a pair of, as advertised, slip on suede orthopaedic clogs, what arrived I could had made myself, they absolutely contravened the description. After numerous attempts they refused to give me a returns address then stated my refund was 2 days over the claim period. I imagine some backstreet factory is using slave labour to turn out all their shoddy products and communication is through AI
Please don’t be fooled by their ads and don’t touch them with a barge pole.

I ordered a jacket from British Elegance, but unfortunately it did not fit my husband.

When I tried to return it, I discovered that the return had to be sent to China at my own expense. This was not made clear to me before purchase. Their website advertised wording such as “14 Days Guarantee with Free Returns”, which gave me the impression that returning an unsuitable item would be straightforward.

I contacted them within 14 days of delivery and asked for either a prepaid return label, a UK return address, confirmation that they would reimburse the postage to China, or a suitable refund solution. They refused all of these.

I also raised concerns that the telephone number shown on their website did not work when I tried to call them during the return period. Their reply was simply that they would forward the feedback to the relevant department, but they still refused to help.

Their position is now that because I did not physically send the parcel back within their return window, the matter is closed — even though I contacted them within the return period and was disputing the fact that the China return cost had not been made clear before ordering.

Very disappointing experience. In my opinion, the return process is misleading and not customer-friendly. I would not order from British Elegance again, and I would advise others to check the return address and return costs very carefully before buying.

I ordered two expensive memory foam pillows at a cost of £94.00 and was told they were in stock - ordered on 18th June and I have emailed them twice on 29th June and on 2nd July and no response or acknowledgement whatsoever - I fear I will never get my pillows or a refund ! Wish I had read reviews awful company

Ordered a pair of shoes were told they would arrive to the courier June 16 then again June29 delivered that day one shoe toe flattened badly one shoe one inch wider due to bad assembly no good as a pair of slippons tried to contact them to return the rubbish impossible to make contact they are not based in the U K despite the marketing but possibly in South China waste of money

Item late in arriving, poor quality, do not respond to emails or phone so unable to return / get a refund

Wish I had read the reviews! Ordered a shirt using the guidelines, it took over two weeks to arrive at it is way too big, have tried calling the Customer Support number on the website - it fails immediately, emailed three times, no response! Lesson for me is to not order from companies unless I know them! Dreadful online experience.

Ordered a garment from this company and used their sizing guide - XL = 44" chest which would have fitted me. When the garment arrived it was marked as XL but the chest measured 39". Absolutely useless.

Despite 2 attempts to contact this company to expedite a return, they have completely ignored these messages. They are nothing more than a bunch of shysters.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I would give zero if it were possible.

The product that arrived was not as per the advertising photo a cheap Chinese machine made imitation.

Do not deal with this company after 2 months I’m still fighting to get a refund.

What I ordered was not as pictured on the website. Then to return it I would have to post it to China!

Slow delivery, poor response to query, goods (linen shirts) overpriced, poor quality and neither British or elegant! Given the reviews I haven't even bothered trying to return the shoddy shirts! Do not buy from this company!!!

Item provided was of inferier quality and not as described on the web site. No response at all to enquries regarding replacement or refund etc.

I have just reported this company to Lloyds Bank Fraud Department which are investigating them for not supplying clothes that are advertised.
Keep well away from this shocking company.

The picture of the clothing looked good but the items received were of poor quality and when tried on, were ill fitting. Not cheap for such poor quality. Donated to a charity shop.

First issue, I ordered a coatdress which was meant to come in a few days, it was nearly two weeks and the event had passed before the dress arrived.
The coatdress looked really nice online, however, the material was cheap and nasty shiny material.
I have contacted support 3 times to find out how I send it back and they have ignored all emails.
I will now contact my credit card to get my money back. British Elegance, based in China!

I ordered a dress from a company called Ecowares Ltd. The dress was advertised by several companies using identical photographs of the dress. I chose this website because the price was lower than the others. What a mistake. No order acknowledgement, no invoice, no delivery information resulting in initiating a complaint to PayPal to resolve the matter. The order eventually was delivered but with no information as to its origin or who the sender was. The dress was not the same design as advertised, did not fit and was of poor quality. Eventually I much research I found an email address for ecowares Ltd but to my surprise I received an email from a different company"britishelegance.com" The case is ongoing with PayPal. WARNING:Do not trust either of these "suppliers"

Please avoid this company i complained and said the item is not what was advertised . They offered a minimal amount of money as a gesture . Not good enough I would like the total amount back and I have taken this matter further .
Don’t buy is my recommendation as it’s a scam clothes are not what are advertised

Ordered a denim jacket for my wife, described on their website as 'high quality'. It wasn't - it was cheap, badly made and unacceptable. They required us to return it China, at our expense. If it was a UK firm I would have gone to court but pointless as they are Chinese - which they go to considerable lengths to disguise. Very disappointing indeed, don't be taken in by an alluring web presence!

Goods ordered 3rd April - processed 2 days later and received 2 weeks later.
Wrote to them saying comes up small, they sent a chart to get out of a refund, but all aspects are 6cm shorter than their charts. Now they are not replying after 3 chases, so have contacted my bank.
Extremely poor customer service/delivery times and wanted at least £13 to return my goods!!!

The website looked genuine. I placed an order and the item never arrived. There was no response to my emails or telephone calls at all. It looks like a scam set up. Credit card company refunded my money.
