Very helpful team, have not regretted my choice for over 18 years. Hopefully it will not be needed, but it is extremely helpful in case you do. Has good service and selection of extras. Recommend.
During a very difficult time dealing with illness Stephen who I have been dealing with has been very kind and compassionate whilst dealing with my claim.
If I could have given no star, I would have. To cut a long story short, I took out an income protection policy with this company and after a phone interview with a nurse they accepted me and offered me a policy. When I fell ill my gp signed me unfit for work with knee pain and right hand pain. I put in a claim to British friendly, they straight away asked for medical information and because I forgot to mention that 3 years previous I was treated for low testosterone they declined my claim. Now what low testosterone has to do with knee and right hand pain is beyond me, there you have it stay well away from this company guys absolutely dreadful.

British Friendly have been amazing with my claim and have professionally and quickly helped with any problems or need that I have had.
I really like the fact that they still help throughout the first weeks of coming back to work after my accident.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company have been dragging their heels on my claim waiting for an official diagnosis even tho I'm on all the waiting lists and the nhs are backlogged with covid. I provided evidence from my own doctor who who states I am showing signs of ptsd and dissociation I am also awaiting a diagnosis of adhd and autism but again the wait times are through the roof. I have provided proof of a sexual assault which is on my doctors records which I don't remember because of the dissociation. This company is fraudulent and brushed it off as work related stress. It's a bloody shame. My heart goes out to Charles Bailey who handled my claim as I can't imagine the stress this company has put on this poor chap and me with all their procedures when talking to this guy I know he has a heart of gold. Mental health exists. It's a real thing and this company needs some major training on it. When stuff is there in black and white. Trust me it's not work related stress.

As an agency nurse my income is variable and insecure. I took out my payment protection insurance a few years ago in case I ever had an accident or needed time off sick. My claim went through smoothly and after my deferred period of four weeks, payments came through weekly as requested.
