Sadly becoming increasingly incompetent - been a member for 8 years - lately the mistakes they make are grave and severe in the claims department - sent out a claim form TWICE - then this mutual admitted they had made a mistake doing so !!
I need not have worried. The person on the other end was very helpful and explained things in a simple and straightforward way.

I am not stuck owing bills for work done; I can't get Winter wood in and can't fill my oil tank.
I tried to get a partial payment for these increased bills.
I spoke to a person in the relevant Department who was bullying, sarcastic and thoroughly unpleasant - she usually is.
I don't have the relevant ID Dont have a Driving Licence, don't have a Pension letter as the office is in process of being moved to Scotland and the Council reprieved our Council Tax. I got snorts of disbelief from the awful woman in the office a thoroughly unpleasant obstructive person.
Please don't if you breathe, walk, eat just dont

Amazing experience with an amazing company, I’m a self employed electrician and 18 months ago I ruptured my acl and mcl knee ligaments whilst playing football with my son. After sending medical notes etc as expected I was instantly payed my claim entitlement week by week for the whole period even during recovery when I was able to slowly return to work.
Right through my calls, emails and all correspondence was acted on swiftly and professionally. Very pleased customer

Was changing my life insurance and critical illness insurance and was introduced to income insurance as went through telephone interview regarding cover. Thought I explained everything ok but had accident and due to go for surgery but first call made had a grilling from advisor why I didn’t disclose an issue with my knee that’s never kept me off work and felt absolutely terrible after her call. I was appalled at her attitude towards me. I’ve worked all my life and never claimed anything and for her to speak to me like a idiot wasn’t acceptable. My wife called up and made a complaint but still no call back. Would definitely think before taking out with this company
This is the first claim i have made and it wasnt easy.
Email replies were quick from British Friendly but not helpful.
I had to go away on holiday and now unsure whether my claim will be processed in time.
