Struggled with poor landline connection…

Struggled with poor landline connection in our new property. Although I was told we should expect to receive over 100Mbps in our location. I only receive around 75Mbps on a good day. If the weather's bad maybe 50Mbps. Kids are happy, and it's a far cry from what we had before.

AVOID like the plague.

Do not touch this company with a bargepole.

Their customer service is abysmal and their only interest is making the initial sale and then they have no interest in responding to you.

Dismal, avoid, avoid, avoid

Dismal, sluggish to respond, I have had a horrendous experience from the moment I started to do any business with this company and their sister company Sat-works. Inconsistent advice regarding network suitability. Non working equipment, huge delays in responding to emails and failure to send out engineers when requested. I would avoid at all costs.

Great service

Owing to possible building plan changes, the positioning of the aerial at the original survey location was not optimal. No problem getting it shifted somewhere more appropriate on the day of fitting. Price match was good too!

Very poor installation

Installed in small bedroom at corner of house. Should have been central. Cable runs alongside mains electricity cable - not good.

Terrific highs and a bit of a low low

The chap who came to assess my current broadband and suitability for Broadband Shack was excellent, as was the chap who arrived today to install the antenna and set everything up. However your admin needs some work. I have already been chased for a direct debit payment that you claim to have tried and been unable to take.
I think this could be for a couple of reasons; I have never received a direct debit mandate from you, the system was not yet installed - ergo I wasn't even a customer at that point. Finally, I had already paid the first month fee when the chap came to assess my property. I hope this is not a sign of things to come as it's a pretty poor start.

With regards to the direct debit, if it is due and unpaid we would send you notifications. In the past when updating our automatic email system I do believe some customers that did not owe money also received some chase emails. Apologies on our behalf for those.

A good experience

The company arranged my 4G router installation very efficiently, arrived when they said they would and the work was carried out professionally. The new sysyem works well giving me a nearly 5X improvement in broadband speed. I had some problems subsequently in setting up my wireless mesh and their technical support wrongly advised me that it would not work with the Broadband Shack router. I had already sorted the problem myself by the time they messaged me back, so I've downgraded them by one star.

4G Installation

The engineer called me when he was on his way to tell me when to expect him. He kept me informed all the way through the installation process, he was very tidy and professional. He explained that the SIM card would activate later and where to get help if needed.

£24.99 per month is excellent value for money but I was irritated that the the direct debit kicked in a whole week before the installation (and thus connection) was even up and running

The two surveys ran well on time and…

The two surveys ran well on time and were helpful. My only issue is the speed of 100mb dropped down to 60 at time of installation and I have only got a max of 40 having run it now for two weeks. I appreciate this speed can fluctuate for various reasons but I have been unable to get up to this magic 100 let alone 60. Slightly peeved that contract was signed on me getting 100 download. Still not sure how they got those speeds?!

No update on replacement kit

Engineer tries to install but faulty. He takes them away to sort out a replacement. 6 days laters no communication about if or when the replacements will arrive. Not ideal.
