Unbelievable lack of communication
Unbelievable lack of communication, 2 month wait to start a role as they personally had messed up my application. No one consistently in office to handle quieries. Do not recommend whatsoever

It took over a month to receive a start date...
My experience with Brook Street was poor from the beginning. The role I was offered was advertised with 'start date - asap' however it took over a month for me to receive a start date from when I was offered the role. Whether this was down to Brook Street or the employer, I'm unaware. However, I turned down other job opportunities to accept this one and was left without an income or employment. Overall the communication was poor and there seemed to be a lack of interest with my case throughout the entire process.

I cannot recommend Brook Street Inverness highly enough especially Victoria, from the initial contact all the way through to job placement. Every step of the process was smooth, friendly and approachable even out-with office hours. Communication was excellent and any queries or questions were dealt with quickly and in a professional supportive manner.
Brook Street really understands what an employer requires and takes the time to fully understand what the potential employee has to offer, then to marry them both up to maximise the impact for both the parties.
Nothing is too much bother, they go above what the expectations are. They take the time to understand fully that a new role is not just a job but it is a lifestyle change.
With Brook Street you are a person who is unique not just a number, this makes them different to other recruitment agencies who just gets bums on seats.

Not professional. No communication. Always issue with receiving wages.
Crown Court Crown Square* Brookstreet must inform you about the employment turnover rate in general of this place. Later on, do you discover that the team leader is a bully and misogynist. Keeping their placements informed is another area where Brookstreet needs to improve. Test them out. Determine for yourself? Good luck.

Favouritism
Applied for severy roles as a temp for government roles, didn't hear anything back. Rang different branches linked to vacancies and said they will get back as I was deemed suitable. No communication at all. Would not recommend as build you up with hope. Too busy hitting their KPI's. Avoid if you don't want repeated disappointments. Don't ring the Croydon branch ..never pick up.

I have been working for Brook Street for over a year now and I can honestly say I have never had any problems with them whatsoever. Everyone I have spoken to have been professional and friendly. I’ve never had any pay issues , paid on time without fail. They are very fare and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them in the future .

Bad Experience
My experience was awful please do not waste your time with this company. I was with the Ashford office. The woman who dealt with put me in a job that I didn’t even apply for. I was told by this woman it was a 9-5 job, when I got there I found out it definitely was not a 9-5 role. I emailed her to say that I had other responsibilities and this role would not suit me. She totally ignore this so I told her I couldn’t go back to it. I emailed her explaining my reasons and asked her to call me when she was free. She emailed back saying that as I hadn’t given a week’s notice she wouldn’t be finding me anymore work. I’ve not had any contract, anything said verbally or in writing saying that’s what I had to do. I called the head office who said that this was not right and gave me an area manager’s email. I emailed and surprise surprise have heard nothing!
I’m totally disappointed how they can treat people like this and get away with it.

Terrible company! Avoid!!! Shame on you!
Their customer service it’s a complete rubbish, they could not care less about their workers who btw earns this company A LOT of money. I have worked through them for many years in different Government Agencies, their jobs are very good but their service it’s embarrassingly bad and not just to us the workers but also to their clients (Government)
As a worker for this Agency you don’t have an agent that you can call if you have a problem or a person to be in touch with. If your contract gets extended they don’t contact you. If your assignment comes to an end, it doesn’t how good of a worker you were they don’t care they don’t try to find you something else. You only exist for them when they need to fill the ‘gap’ and after that your are on your own. They don’t know what department you are working on, who’s your line manager, etc.
whilst on my last assignment I’ve been promoted and they have been informed however my pay rate stayed the same for 2 months, they did eventually paid back but my God that experience was unnecessary, had to email them many many times, they would not reply to your emails, it’s horror!
The Government should be embarrassed for using their services!!!

Supportive employers
I have worked for Brook Street Cardiff & Newport on MOJ contracts.
My position (not Brook Street) was coming to an end, I applied for a role, but was directed to the post I'm currently in, not MOJ, as it was felt I my skills were well suited.
I've found all staff to be supportive and responsive and would recommend them to anyone.
Even if you don't secure a permanent post, the experience is invaluable and they will assist you to find a new contract as one ends.

not the best experience
i had an interview booked via brook street which was via teams. The date of the interview came and i logged onto my device at the allotted time i was given - sat and sat for almost an hour - logged out hoping that the hiring manager would contact me. Nope. I logged back on - keeping my consultant informed in what i was doing and letting her know i was not getting any response. Logged back on a bit later on still no response. After just over an hour i decided i would just give up. Emailed consultant letting her know no interview took place would she get in touch with them and ask if possible to reschedule - she got back to me the following day explaining that they do not want to speak to me now and had hired someone else. To make things worse all i got from the consultant was basically bye good luck with the job search not a case of can she help me any further basically there is the door use it. So upset with the way i was handled - i turned up to the interview early - no communication from the person that was doing the interviews nothing - i am not a mind reader and also the harsh response i got from the agency.

First class exeperience
When dealing with your Najima Bouchikhi the experience was first class, she is a true professional and very good at her job. The service was swift professional and delivery excellent.
She managed to get me into work within an hour of speaking to her. I want to say she is a great member of your team at Brook Street. Want to say thank you greatly for her tenacity articulate and great foresight . Very happy with her person skills may it continue the good work. Professionalism and support throughout the entire recruitment process
Recently I have been offered a job which I believe is one of the best opportunities I had in my career! Throughout the recruitment process I have been fully supported by Lisa Clark which has done an amazing job! I believe that in life when people go out of their way to support others they have to be recognized and appreciated! She has been by my side from the start of the process making sure she understood my career journey and my needs to move forward, and supported me with interview preparation at each stage ! AWFUL!...They don't respond to emails
I applied for a role within the Home Office, sent all my documents, done the test, didn't need the CTC clearance as I already had it. 2 weeks later no update. Emailed the Liverpool branch and the person who sourced me without no response. I ended up emailing someone else who told me that it wasn't him that was dealing with myself, he gave me a little info and copied in 2 people who are suppose to be dealing with me. Still no response from them!
What is wrong with just sending out an email giving people an update, are they doing this on purpose? or can't they handle the work? Just do your job!

Having served under Brookstreet for several years, my latest experience leaves me speechless.
Having notified my agent in advance of leaving my role, due to temporary contract expiry. I enquired about vacancies imagining they would be on my case. I was directed to their website vacancies for vacancies.
Why..." because you're not on assignment you have no agent"...." we only have 4 agents"
Dreadful.
On and off I have worked for Brookstreet in it's current guise for 4yrs.
Really poor attitude, unhelpful.
In this competitive climate you would imagine that keeping potential employees supported and valued would be a priority.
At no point in my assignment was I contacted to see if I was alright. The only contact made was prompted by myself.
Looking at other reviews I am not alone.
