Stay clear of this company they are a joke and have no respect for the trade. My order was three days late and their AI bot is a joke, it kept going round in circles and telling me all morning that so... Voir plus

Order initially arrived 1 day later than scheduled. However, part of my order wasn't delivered and communication was poor. Website is also misleading to what is being ordered.

Local business something for everyone

I've been using Horton Building Plastics since opening and everything is super from the trade counter frames and deliveries the staff are all very friendly and efficient here's to many more years as one of their customers it's a local company with the personal touch

Scam takes you money then nothing after…

Scam takes you money then nothing after a number of try’s to contact them I finally got a email to say it’s being delivered. Guess what that didn’t happen either. Waiting on bank to get my money back stay away wasted 10 days waiting on materials that never arrived

Had I read the negative reviews

Had I read the negative reviews before I ordered, I would have never ordered. But I had, and fully expected giving another negative review. But other than not being given an order processing status, as stated would be given, or not being informed of a possible delivery date, but just turning up. Otherwise would have given five stars. Quick delivery, good quality product at a very good price.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company, I ordered and was sent the wrong thing. It took weeks for them to collect the items that they sent and still weeks later I haven't had my money back. They have the products and my money. I filed a claim with PayPal and they still won't give me my money.

Waste of £45. Had a delivery date of Thursday then on…

Had a delivery date of Thursday then on Tuesday I noticed an email saying it been delivered. Got home later in the day but no parcel!! Contacted them to be shown a pic of the parcel by the side gate in full view of the street and passers by and no note through the door. Assume it has been stolen but told it has been delivered and so nothing they will do. £45 down the drain of an uncaring unsympathetic money grabbing company..leave well alone!!

POOR SERVICE ALLROUND

POOR DELIVERY. POOR PRODUCTS. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVIOD. I order a few products from this company. Delivery took over a week considering they have 'over 250 distribution branches' is woeful. When my products eventually came ALL were damaged, warped with heat, split or cracked. I can't finish my job. I've been waiting on the phone for almost an hour trying to find out what they will do to sort this out.

I don't moan but had to wright this

I don't moan but had to wright this, I finally received my goods which I ordered online on the 11th of May and goods did not arrive until the 9th of June. After making several telephone calls and to the Sheffield Branch including a visit. I am aware of the Global supply of many item's but my main problem is there is no feedback from anyone or web access regarding delivery.

Know what your getting and they're…

Know what your getting and they're brilliant.
I've used several times for upvc roofline , cladding etc.
Their prices are great , the ordering process and website easy to use and you get good communication and invoices off them.
Plus all the stuff is Eurocell products but near on 40/50% cheaper than I can get it direct through Eurocell.
Slight downsides , the lead times quoted are never met and delivery has always been by Eurocell who don't tell you when they're coming.
Ultimately it's brilliant if you're organised and can wait about 3 weeks and delivery is made to a site that's either manned or can just be left safely.
I will use again.

Ordered some materials for a job and…

Ordered some materials for a job and was told 3-5 working days. 3 weeks later the items half turned up with the other half promised the next day. 5 days after this, still not recieved the rest of the items.. It takes a long time to actually get in touch with someone through the chat/call but when you do the desk teams are really helpful at least. Shame the 250 'complimentary delivery service' is very far from that as the delivery is horrendous. Ended up getting a refund to source the parts elsewhere and finished the job 3 weeks too late. I won't be using these again

Great price but need to improve communication if delays to order

Ordering process was simple but when the advertised timescales came and went with no order being delivered I used the message facility twice for an update but got no reply at all. Also tried the chat facility but could never stay on long enough to ‘chat’ to anyone.
Found all these awful reviews and began to worry as my order was nearly £2000.
Saw MD’s email address on another review so emailed Anthony O’Sullivan and he replied the same day (Sunday) reassuring me that Kath would contact me on Monday re the orders. Monday came and Kath rang me as promised. She was really helpful and the following day our order arrived in full directly from our local Eurocell.
The prices were far cheaper than Eurocell direct and aside of the lack of communication re delays I’m pleased that BPO have fulfilled our order quicker than it would have been if I went direct to Eurocell as they were vague about timescales for their coastline cladding range.

No order and no communications.

I have experienced the same issues as documented by others; I placed an order almost two months ago and the item has still not arrived. Contacting the company had to be done via Live Chat, but responses were significantly delayed (it has taken over an hour to respond to my three questions!) - promises of call backs/updates did not happen and no apologies or understanding from the company. I have wasted a significant amount of time trying to work out where my order is and I have now been forced to cancel my order as I can't wait any longer - I just hope the refund is processed as promised without any need for me to force a refund via PayPal.

Buy elsewhere unless you like being messed about

Where do I start with this company, I don't really want to give 1 star, very bad communication, rude staff who cut you off on their so called live chat service, never keep you informed and really don't know what's going on, quick enough to take your money but waited over two months for our order and no thanks to them I had to contact their suppliers direct who have the same communication issues, they are a good price but to honest not worth the hassle they have put us through, all it needed was to keep us informed but that is obviously too hard for this company, if you don't mind waiting months and been let down go ahead but not worth it, I don't think they are bothered either as looking at other feedback theirs says same as us, AVOID

Avoid doing business with these people

No communication forthcoming from this company regarding a failure to deliver an order.. i have an ongoing request for a refund, still no response from company to my many requests.. avoid this company, consistant in their poor approach, or should i say, almost non existant to customer care.. i am usually quite relaxed in situations like this, but i warn you now, whilst they may be cheaper, you will probably not get what you order in the timeframe you think, if at all..

Returned some gutter parts

Returned some gutter parts, 3mths of emails, phone calls that dont get answered, even emailing Anthony Bold a managing director and still waiting for my refund. Cheap prices but customer service is like a chocolate ashtray, USELESS. For a better and safer way to buy plastics pay a bit more and use a face to face supplier. Avoid BPO like the plague.

Persevere & you will receive

We placed an order 10th April with ETA of 19th April. We emailed to chase up 29th April as we could not get through on the phones and like most in the reviews received no reply. We are very conscious of delays in building material due to the increased demand over the pandemic and shipping issues so did think the ETA was unlikely. Then read the reviews and feared the worst having spent over £1000. Saturday 8th May I contacted the director direct. Within minutes I received a response apologising for the experience and assured me Kathleen from customer care would call us 9am Monday morning. She did just that!! She advised our delivery was coming from a local stockist and would be there Wednesday (today) We were still sceptical at this point however we did receive our delivery, checked it off and a couple of items missing, the driver returned within the hour with the remainder. So I have to say whilst the contact and engagement around our delays could have been much better, We have received all in full. Perhaps updating the website with realistic delivery windows, updating the automatic confirmation email with a longer ETA and maybe checking where the email bottle neck is would help this business in its success, if they get the communication right then this would solve all the panic we are reading on here. Please keep trying to make contact and don’t feel you have been scammed as it may just be a company that’s got too big for the current climate and perhaps not managing the situation as well as could be. All in all it took 4 weeks to get our delivery.

Do not use this company
Placed two orders with them on 12/04/21. They gave an ETA of 21/04/21. I'm still waiting for delivery as of today 10/05/21. You can't call or email them and in the slim chance that you get a reply on their on-line chat service they still can't give you a delivery date.

Uncontactable and no delivery

Placed 2 orders online and was given an ETA email shortly after. This date passed over a week ago and they are uncontactable by email, phone and webchat. Do not throw away your money with this company.

Awful service

Awful service, avoid at all costs, ordered 10mm aximo polycarbonate glazing and accessories 8th April advertised as around 5 day lead time.
Did not recieve any updates regarding delivery dates.
When I finally manage to get hold of them after being on hold for anything between 30 minutes - 1 hour I'm told that it is Clear Amber supplying the products (despite you paying building plastics the money) and there is nothing they can do other than request you to email their supplier?? and chase them up!!
They then provide a tracking link enabling me to chase Clear Amber who advise on a delivery date of 19th April.
Delivery turns up missing.
You then message clear amber (as its too difficult to get hold of Building Plastics) only for them to say please wait 1-2 days for the balance of the order to be delivered)
5 days passes still no delivery of the missing items.
You then message Clear Amber back as you can't call them for some bizare reason. (Probably a COVID related Excuse)
Only to recieve a message saying the delivery has gone missing.
They raise another order for the missing items which you then get a delivery date of 7 days.
You check their tracking link only to find the delivery was made 29th April.
You message them and say surely this is a mistake.
They respond and advise that I have recieved and signed for the delivery??
I advise that i did not recieve.
They apologise and ask what was missing.
What makes it more anoying is that building plastics seem to just wash their hand of the fact that they are the ones taking your money and yet your the one dealing with their incompetent supply chain Clear Amber.
4 weeks and still no roofing sheets delivered however £600 down.

Absolute joke of a company.

Super service, super Price & free delivery bang on time.

Correct product, at best price I could find. Was delivered by Eurocell from my local depot. No delivery charge either. Saved over £10 compared to other vendors.
Really pleased with the service - I am puzzled by the vast number of poor reviews & wonder if they are for the right company?
