I absolutely loved BusyKid when my kids were younger. It taught them the value of effort and the connection between money and work. I also recently had to reach out to customer service. Norma and Tania were incredibly helpful. One of the best customer service experiences I have had recently.

Used to be great, has really gone downhill
We have had BusyKid accounts for both kids for many years (2020). It used to be great, but has really gone downhill. We are nickeled and dimed for every transaction it adds up, service is partly outsourced with poor communication. There was a charge that was questioned by their third-party, I responded same day to verify it. Customer Service (in house?) said it was never verified and the account was frozen and to reach out to the third-party, they can't help me. Cards aren't always sent out when they expire, just a lot of little, tedious things. We are switching to CapitalOne Teen, no fees. Really disappointed with BusyKid, would not recommend.

Great Utility w/ Good Service
BusyKid is a strong financial management utility for kids. It is relatively simple, in a good way. Not too many useless functions in the way. Completely app driven. Easy process that allows kids to invest in stocks, which is great. Norma with customer service is great. Prompt and helpful the few times we've had questions. We've been pleased BusyKid for the 5yrs we've been customers.

Dear BusyKid Support Team,
I am writing regarding my BusyKid account, which was recently closed due to an unauthorized transaction. While I understand the security reasons for the closure, I would like to request the return of my remaining account balance.
Before the account was closed, I received a refund from a merchant I previously patronized. This refund, totaling **$290**, was deposited into my account, but I no longer have access to retrieve it due to the closure.
I kindly request that this remaining balance be refunded to me. Please let me know what information or documentation you need in order to process this request.

Thank you for your response and for inviting me to send details directly to your email address for review. As requested in your INITIAL trustpilot reply, I promptly emailed you the full details on [insert exact date you sent the email, e.g., October 15, 2025], including:
Complete screenshots/PDFs of every transaction alert from the BusyKid Visa card.
A detailed chronological table calculating the balance from the starting $400.00 down to the actual remaining $206.93 at the time of closure (after all refunds were accounted for).
Unfortunately, I have not received any acknowledgment or reply to that email.
Your updated response states that the account was reviewed and closed with no balance remaining. This directly contradicts my documented records, which clearly show a positive balance of $206.93 after the final transaction on June 15, 2025.
All activity was legitimate, parent-authorized, and consistent with BusyKid's educational purpose — including several small test purchases that were immediately refunded by the merchants.
I also paid for a full-year subscription in advance and have been deprived of several months of service due to the premature closure.
I remain eager to resolve this amicably and would appreciate:
A direct review of the evidence I emailed you.
Return of the documented remaining $206.93 balance.
A pro-rated refund for the unused portion of my annual subscription.
Reinstatement of the account, if possible.
I have attached the same transaction evidence here for transparency (or can resend upon request).

My kids are older and have their own debit cards. BusyKid made it very easy to close the account and said they would refund me for my annual fee that hit my account bank today.
