I had a brand new Meta Quest 3 VR set with 512MB. I purchased it through Meta and never used it or activated the VR set. I chose BuyBackworld recently to sell my VR set and they gave me a quote of $250. I sent my VR set to them in the original box and everything that came with it. After 1 weel via UPS, it finally received it on April 17, 2026 and they told me they will review it and get back to me in 3 business days. Today, April 21, 2026, I received an urgent email from them saying my Meta Quest 3 was in poor condition and it was BROKEN and they would ONLY pay me $25!! THAT VR SET WAS NOT BROKEN. IT WASNT USED!! I rejected their offer and they supposedly will mail me my "broken" Meta Quest 3 to me by next week. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied in the treatment and service that they provided! Why are these people in business or theft and bad service?! They are the worse in the business. I will never trust them again!!

The receiving and inspection went quickly. Got an email on Tuesday, 3/10/26 saying my item passed inspection and to expect payment in 2-3 business days to my Venmo account. It's now been 8 business days and they haven't sent the payment or responded to NUMEROUS email inquiries. Beware!

*Update*... I received my check via email the other day. They indicated it had been sent out already but provided me a link in another email where I could download the check. It took 3 weeks to get paid. I give high remarks for the layout of their website, ease of using it & different payment options but customer service sucks. Changing from 1 to 3 stars because they followed through with the payment.
I sold them a phone & they claim they sent out my check via email which I never got. Ive sent numerous emails and no response. When I call their number either nobody answers or the phone is picked up then hung up. I do not what is going on with this company but its been a bad experience. Still waiting on my payment of $405 which as of March 3, 2026 I still have not received. Praying this business is not a scam. Emails & phone calls go unanswered.

Horrible never received anything and its a whole month later, first they got an empty box without my item in it, then all of a sudden it passes inspection and i will be paid 3-5 business days. A month goes by and still nothing these guys are crooks at this point I feel like they robbed me.

Ok i just got an email that i got paid sheesh 🤷🏽‍♂️ u gotta complain a few times to get things done. Thanks for the payment, but i will never use or recommend the site to anyone.

After receiving my item, they promised to review it in a couple of days - after two weeks I had to ask their customer service and they finally did it. Promised to get me my money in a couple of days - had to again escalate to customer service two weeks later to make it happen. If you communicate deadlines to customers, try and make them.

Never use this company it took them to long to finish inspection I had to send a ticket in to get it done and then they said it would be 2 business days to pay me and I just received it 6 days later after I put in a ticket

Been waiting over 3 weeks now. Accepted revised offer and have still yet to receive my money. PAYPAL takes all of 30 seconds.. they ahve great apprasail procing, but at the cost of customer satisfaction. Smh

I felt in all fairness that I write this review after I labeled them a dishonest company in a previous review. I received my payment today after almost 15 days of waiting from DEC. 23, 2025 to today on JAN.7,2026 but I did receive it. I guess if you can except the long wait, the price is decent. I sent them my cell phone as good in condition because it only had a little scuff mark on a corner. Everything about my phone was in perfect condition and they offered me $295. The minute they got it they used the scuff against me and said that it was now worth $45. I rejected their offer. What a load of crap.

I know that sending things to someone far away is a helpless feeling; you're really putting your trust in a company to do right by you. I've been using BuyBackWorld for many years and I've NEVER had any problems. They want your items and won't give you a hard time in my experience at least. You have no worries with them and I give them an A+++ all the way around!

I was pleasantly surprised at the range of items BuyBackWorld will buy. I sold WiFi networking equipment and several WiFi speaker systems and was very pleased with the entire experience. BuyBackWorld contacted me at each stage from sending shipping labels to notifying me that my payments have been processed. I believe the condition of my items was evaluated fairly and would not hesitate to contact them again in the future.

I used this online buying service to sell my phone that was less than 6 months old, because I got a new one. It takes them forever to process the item once they get it. Then there is a constant process of sending you emails then they say, Congratulations we received your device, we are inspecting your device, we're going to pay you the full value for your device, it's in excellent condition. Then I just waited and waited and waited and waited. I even sent an email asking when I'm going to get my payment. I get some response back from some bot or some person in God knows where, saying the situation has been resolved, and you'll get an email when we pay you out. Now I am still waiting on this. That was 5 plus days ago. I would not sell anything to this company, they obviously don't really care about customer service. They only want your product, so they can make money off it. Not sure why it takes 2 or more weeks to pay you what they owe you.

They offered a fair price, included shipping and paid quickly. Highly recommend!

From start to finish I knew what to expect. I was a little skeptical at first to send electronics that weren’t a phone or tablet (since many have more restrictions). However, the search feature with photos and model numbers gave me the confidence to continue.

As promised, communication was consistent at each step (ship your device, device received, device processed, payment confirmation). I feared that my values quoted online might erroneously be reduced after the items were received, but I got exactly what I expected.

I would definitely recommend buybackworld, and I will use them again.
