Dec2024: poor poor service!
Even after a 14hr wait, we couldn't get a service vehicle out for a simple jump-start!!
We had to flag down a Good Samaritan instead.
Within a large town (pop 100,000+), with no competing issues with weather or disasters, no holidays, and more than 4 phone calls, they couldn't do a thing for us! We'll be dropping them as a "service" provider immediately.

After two calls, you can't use the online Roadside Assistance!
Overall my experience with CAA roadservice this year has been great. Most years I don't call them, but this year I needed them twice. When I tried the Roadside assistance app to see call history, it wouldn't let me in! A customer service rep said that after two calls within a membership year you had to call in and couldn't use the online service! I disagree with that restriction, lowering my review to four stars.
CAA tow after breakdown…
My broken car made it home but had to be towed to the garage for repair. TREY arrived after about 30 minutes with a flatbed. TREY was personable, polite and knew what he was doing as well as knowledge of mississauga and the location of the mechanic. As the garage was about 10 km away, Trey took the time to google routes to ensure that I would have the minimum surcharge if any. The tow truck took up most of the road in this townhouse complex. TREY noticed someone exiting the visitor's lot and without being asked, moved the truck out of the way. My car was delivered without incident. Trey is friendly efficient and well mannered making it so easy for me to access the service I needed.

Horrible experience start and not yet…
Horrible experience start and not yet finished. CAA guy turned up and didnt know how to boost my battery. An hour later he said he couldnt figure it out despite me showing him how to find the charging areas. Then, had to get a tow truck. He put all the wrong info in the system. Then, CAA said they couldnt tow where I required. Still no pick up of my car. Called CAA and they were unhelpful and dismissive of the issues. As everything else these days, lack of customer service based on fees, lack of alternatives and such poor poor customer service.

I would give zero stars if possible. This company is terrible to deal with. Car was hit while parked. The person who hit the car has this insurance. It’s been a nightmare. Your call goes to a call center and they pretty much are not able to help you. They keep saying the adjuster has to call. The adjuster never calls. My calls have been escalated. I’ve been assured that they will call me back within 24 hours. I’ve been dealing with this for three months now with no resolution. I would not recommend this company for anyone I think their policy is not to provide you any answers and then you eventually give up.

Zero Stars. Horrible service. If you want to cancel your membership you cannot do it online. you have to call in and wait for 2 hours. It has been set up to be inconvenient to cancel. Customer service is horrible. I would give a negative 5 if it was possible.

Penny Pinching dropping service quality
You have to expect that Sunday night at 6:15 pm one has to wait for a tow. But after three hours in the cold I gave up. The car was in Oakville and they were sending a truck from New Market an hour away. Feels like they are trying to penny pinch by having fewer resources.

I have had CAA for years. Needed to file a comprehensive claim. They made it easy and painless. They took care of all the details, car rental, garage etc.

CAA sucks as an insurance company
CAA sucks as an insurance company. Got hit by a vehicle and because they are the same provider, they did everything they can to not have to payout. Denied my claim and literally took 5 months while still sucking my money on a car that sat in the shop for almost half a year. They give you cheap rates to sucker in but once you need to make a claim, it is over. Should have listened to people that warned me about the pain in making claims with them

I had two flat tires on one side of the…
I had two flat tires on one side of the car, which required the car to be raised onto a dolly in order to be towed. This was November 11, 2024.
I did not realize how difficult this was until I saw how time-consuming it was for my driver Khoshul Taie (C54 WL 15) to carefully get all four tires off the pavement, the flat ones to be separately lifted and supported to keep the car level and protect against damage, and then fit all the equipment needed for towing with a dolly. He managed all this with good humour and patience. It was a job well done, and I appreciated that.

Company is HEARTLESS
Do not use this company. They charged an elderly desperate man twice and they have no compassion. I never did like them and after speaking with them about this on my fathers behalf, I really despise them and I will be telling all my friends.
Look for my and my friends various other "REVIEWS" about them.

It was a mix feeling
It was a mix feeling. But at the end I would give CAA 4stars out of 5 and specials for Dylan Shanmugadhasan 5 stars.
I have a CAA battery for about 3years. On Oct 20th early morning battery all of sudden die. Called CAA and within 30minutes service car arrived and boosted my car. We didn’t miss our event. Good job CAA. Just because the battery has 6 years warranty I asked a replacement of battery, at the beginning Member relationship department denied my request saying the battery indeed in good condition, I should fully charge my battery etc. I expressed my disappointment as a loyal member (over 10 years) BAD EXPERIENCE. And then got phone Call & email from Dylan he told me that now he is in charge of my case. He is nice and very knowledgeable. We chatted through emails And then he offered me a replacements which is fulfilling my request and also arranged an appointment based on my schedule.
Oct 31st all done. I am satisfied. Good ending

Guy couldn't even fill RV tires after signing up for RV membership
Had a problem with low air pressure late in the evening with an RV we were renting. Signed up for CAA with same day service. They send the guy out who couldn't even get his pump attached to the tires on the RV. I gave him my car pump to try, and he barely even tried to connect it before giving up and claiming they don't support these tires. So not sure how they don't support filling up RV tires with an RV membership. Not only that, I managed to get my car pump atttached the following morning and was able to add more air. Called CAA support and not only would they not refund me the same day service fee, they charged me for the service call, even though the guy couldn't do something a simple as filling RV tires. Don't sign up. It's not worth it.

Zero Stars. CAA never takes a scheduled payment out for auto insurance. Absolutely the worst company, unfortunately I am looked into a contract. Let's not even talk about the roadside service, what a joke. My only review online should speak volumes. Zero Stars.

Terrible CAA service
At 12:30pm today our rental car would not start. We had picked it up the day before in Thunder Bay as the engine in our car had died and needed to be replaced. We completed the 13 hour drive home late into the night.
When the rental car would not accept a boost this morning we called our rental car company and explained what happened. They immediately offered a replacement vehicle and said we would have a tow truck within the hour to pick up the car and deliver a new one.
At 1:05pm we received a CAA text that Classic would arrive at 1:02pm. Then a text they would arrive at 1:15pm. At 1:45pm I started to follow up with CAA only to be told they couldn’t give me an ETA and I would have to call the rental company.
When I got though to the rental company at 2:05pm I was promised they would arrive within 42 minutes. 50 minutes later still no tow truck and no car! Shameful and overall terrible service. CAA can do better than this and should if they value their clients.
We will see how they respond.

Premium Membership worth it???
I have had a Premium CAA membership for many years as I own a 32 ft 5th Wheel. While travelling back from Orillia (4 hours from home) my wife and I experienced a tire blow out on the trailer. We were able to pull over in a parking lot off of Highway 11. My wife called CAA and let the dispatcher know what we were driving and towing and that we would need a 4 to 5 ton jack to lift the trailer to change the tire. CAA sent someone from a Battery Shop to look at the damage and assist. The person who showed up did not have the equipment needed to assist, and he refused to assist due to the damage caused from the blowout, which was mostly trailer electronics (wires) and cosmetic damage. He only had a 2 ton jack, and he refused to let us use it due to liability. We offered to sign a waiver, but again, he said he could not. Fortunately, the parking lot we pulled into was owned by a mechanic, who lent us his jack. He looked at the damage and said there would not be any issues once the tire was changed. Our brakes, and all lights were working properly. It is unfortunate that we pay a premium price for this service, and we did not receive premium service with this incident.

This company is horrible we have had 3 different incidents and each time they lied about things took a long time to do anything and only 1 person we've ever spoken to has been helpful the rest have been lying incompetent and money hungry never go to them

My boyfriend and I have been insured with CAA for 2 years. We have car insurance and home insurance. At the end of August this year, the third year began. In the first week of September, my boyfriend received a letter saying that if there is any problem, call 1-877-222-1717. My boyfriend called and the customer service said that there is no problem with our account. Then two weeks later, I received the same letter and called 1-877-222-1717 again. The customer service said that our account was closed because we did not pay. And only the car insurance was closed but not the home insurance. I was surprised when I heard it. Why? I paid with the same credit card. Why can the home insurance be deducted but the car insurance cannot be deducted? ? ? Well, I can only open a new account, but I didn’t expect that the car insurance increased by 70% when I opened the new account. I was surprised again. Why did it increase so much? ? ? The customer service transferred the call to the manager. We hope the manager can listen to the recording of the call on September 7. We called ☎️ The customer service said that there was no problem with the account and it was not our fault. The manager said that he would call us again after listening to the recording. We waited for almost an hour. The manager called and did not mention the recording. He only said that you received a letter and you need to pay. You have to pay first when you buy something. Finally, he gave us a phone number 800-661-2886 and asked us to find other insurance companies! ! ! Wow, this is the customer service manager of CAA?
1. We received a letter, and the letter said to call if there is any problem. We called ☎️ The customer service said that there is no problem with our account! 2. Our car insurance deduction and home insurance deduction credit card are the same, the same, the same, why can home insurance deductions be made, but car insurance cannot be deducted! 3. Why did the customer service manager call us after listening to the recording and did not mention the recording, but kept saying that CAA gave us a letter and we have to pay. Doesn’t he know that the letter said to call 1-877-222-1717 if there is any problem? We followed the instructions in the letter. Didn't the customer service manager know CAA's procedures? 4. Why didn't they notify us when they closed our car insurance account? 5. Why did we get a 70% increase when we reopened our car insurance? No one answered our question. 6. We are not new customers. We have been with CAA for two years and we have no record of non-payment.
I feel sad that CAA has such a customer service manager. He didn't try to keep us but pushed us out. It's okay for CAA to lose me as a customer today, but I will tell my family and friends and they will tell others. CAA will lose many customers in the future. I hope CAA will be more cautious in choosing managers in the future.

Great and Quick service
Had a flat tire recently on the highway. Called CAA and had someone pick me up for a tow in less than 10 minutes. They brought my SUV to my home, swapped my flat, and made sure everything was good to drive before leaving. Great service and kind staff. 100% worth the price.
