I was recently contacted about a sale through CAE

I recently attempted to sell through CAE Online and the experience was far from positive. The amount of correspondence required was excessive — every time I provided the information they asked for, it was followed by yet another question, another request, and more back‑and‑forth that felt completely unnecessary. At no point did it feel like they were genuinely interested in supporting my sale or acting in my best interests.

Instead of offering clear guidance or commitment, they left me with very little choice and no real confidence in the process. The whole interaction felt drawn out, unproductive, and ultimately not worth the effort. Based on this experience, I would not use them again in the future.

Thank you for your comment, we are disappointed that your experience with us was less than positive. Our quality control team has reviewed the matter, and our records show that the reason we could not proceed with the purchase is because the equipment was not a technical match for our requirement. The equipment was not as represented, and this was evident in the photos provided. We remain open to finding a solution, but can only do so when we have a requirement which matches the condition and completeness of the equipment.

Seems like one big scam

I keep receiving emails if I have equipment to sell to them, multiple times a week.

DO NOT ENGAGE with this company

DO NOT ENGAGE with this company! I reached out to ask them a question and now I am constantly harassed by salespeople by email and somehow on my personal phone asking if I want to sell equipment.

I have tried to block them, but for some reason you just can't. I have asked them to remove my contact info, but I get no acknowledgment.

Never deal with this people!

I had the same experience as other users before me: I paid, and after more than six months, nothing has happened! Apparently, the machine is at a customer's location and safety training needs to be conducted first… blah blah blah… Later, they offered us packaging that we were supposed to pay for, even though we had previously stated that we would arrange for our own shipping company to pick it up!

Scam

We've been waiting for our machine for over 6 months. We are another data point in this trend of customers complaining that CAE will take your $$$$ and then make nothing but excuses and refuse to cancel your order.

Outstanding $8k prepayment – 8 months and no delivery
We are extremely disappointed with the lack of service and transparency from CAE. We provided a full prepayment for equipment 8 months ago, yet we have still not received our order. Both John Sgro and Gergely have provided multiple shipping dates that have consistently been missed. Communication has now ceased, and our calls and emails are being ignored. We have been patient, but after nearly a year, this is unacceptable. We advise others to exercise extreme caution before sending prepayments to this company.
3/3/26 Update - CAE did finally deliver the item, 8.5 months after payment.

Purchased a very expensive 3500xl , Promises Made, Not Kept — Months of Delays and No Accountability

***Stay far away.
We had an extremely negative experience working with CAE Online.

They received $26,500 from me for a Thermo 3500xl and then began making excuse after excuse as to why the instrument was not shipping. Over the course of three months, they changed the location of the machine, changed the serial number, and repeatedly failed to provide photos of my actual unit.

I was repeatedly told that the machine was located in a secured facility that required extensive documentation, permissions, and signatures to enter. These explanations were used to justify long delays and lack of transparency. After months of this, I was finally told the truth: the 3500xl was actually located in Malaysia, inside someone’s private residence.

Because it was in a residential building, we were forced to pay an additional $300 just to remove it—something that was never disclosed upfront.

They also charged me $500 for crating, then claimed they needed additional packing materials and that this would delay shipment by another two weeks. At that point, I canceled the crating and requested a refund. They agreed in writing and said the refund was “processing.” After a week, I was told they only process payments mid-month.

It is now December 22, and the $500 has still not been returned. At this point, they have stopped responding altogether.

The owner, Ryan, repeatedly disappears and excuses the lack of communication by saying he is “busy with hundreds of orders and thousands of emails.” That is not an acceptable explanation for taking tens of thousands of dollars and then failing to communicate or follow through.

This experience involved misrepresentation, constant delays, changing stories, and unresolved refunds. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend staying far away. Do not purchase equipment from this company unless you are prepared for significant risk, stress, and financial exposure.
