Everything was handled in a timely fashion. Easy process. Realistic estimation. I initially was skeptical, however once I spoke to the salesman I felt more at ease. His agent came out, did the inspection, was very professional. Signed the sales agreement and the money was in my bank immediately. The whole sale was such a breeze, highly recommend.

After uploading our photos, the Conditional Offer came in that evening. The next day, Wyn CAME TO US, inspected the car, offered us a very slightly reduced price (hubby had rubbed the left wheel at the curb a few too many times! 😄), and we shook hands! The car was re-registered on the spot, money was in our account within 2 hours of Wyn's arrival to view the car.
Being Canadians 🇨🇦, unfamiliar with NZ laws, we were suspicious and somewhat skeptical of the "standing in a parking lot/over-the-phone /online" registration and money transfer ... Wyn took the time to explain and reassure; he was unrushed, professional, and personable.

The negative experiences of the previous 2 days with 3 different organizations had us feeling discouraged and jaded: Turners (offered us fully $4,000 less than Car Buy!), 2CheapCars (offered us $2500 more than Turners, but $1500 less than Car Buy, then ghosted us!), and AutoFlip (after a lovely conversation with Jack, and a promise to contact us at "2 o'clock Monday", we never heard from him again.). We found the whole process with Car Buy to be professional, honest, concise AND enjoyable.

Although I have already posted my review a few weeks ago, it was before the whole deal was finished.
As I said previously I found Car Buy excellent to deal with. After quoting the price online they met me at my work and gave the final assessed price. They did drop slightly due to some things I hadn’t noticed. I understood, as a car dealer I went to had pointed out those same issues.
A price was agreed on, then on the Saturday a week or so later when I picked up my new car, we met at an agreed place for the transfer.
The money was in the bank by lunch time.
Overall, it was a very easy process.
