Dash cam not fitted correctly and poor customer service

Buyer beware...
I had a front and rear dash cam fitted to my Discovery sport on the 30th of March at home.
Since the install I have had constant problems with the camera stating that the battery required charging every time I turned off the ignition. I assumed that the camera could possible be faulty and I contacted the Nextbase technical team. I was advised to bypass the mount and plug the hardwired lead into the camera, this did not work. I contacted Cygnal and was advised that if their wiring was not at fault that I would have to pay a further £50 this is on top of the original cost of £102 for the fit so I declined.
The constant sound of the low battery alarm has been really annoying and I also had the added worry that the parking feature would not be working.
So two weeks ago I contacted Nextbase again who advised me to fit the 12/24 volt adapter directly into the camera, this was missing from the box so I obtained another one and this has solved the problem I have been using the adapter since and have not had one low battery warning proving that either the wiring has not been fitted to a permanent live fuse or that the wiring is faulty.
The hardwired lead fitted by Cygnal will not even power the camera on now without starting the car this is not much good as I wanted the camera especially for the parking feature.
I contacted Cygnal again last week after testing the adapter and I was assured that they would sort it out and they would ring me to arrange this and I am still waiting!!
I am really disappointed in this company as I researched them first and because of the good reviews I was willing to pay twice the fitting price that I would have paid elsewhere to get a professional fitting unfortunately this is not been the case and I will now have to go to another company to sort this out at my expense.
Pathetic customer service!

The first time you contacted us, we arranged a date and time for an engineer to have a look at your camera, but you then cancelled this appointment, telling us you had spoken to Nextbase and the problem had been fixed.
Since you last contacted us, a member of our sales team has tried to contact you again on multiple occasions but has been unable to speak to you yet.

If you are still having issues with your dash camera, please get in touch and we will have an engineer look into the problem for you.

Great Service

Contacted via the website to arrange a dash cam fitting at home. Prompt responses, decent price and the fitter has done an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

Great service from carcomms

Great service from carcomms, contacted via Email to ask questions and arrange fitting for our own dashcams at home. My Emails were responded to promptly and answered each question asked, also arranged fitting for a time suitable to us. The fitter arrived within the time frame given. Dashcams fitted professionally. Myself and my husband are very pleased with the service we received. We would recommend Carcomms to anyone.

Excellent service start to finish

Excellent customer service prior to the actual installation with regular updates regarding time and who would be installing the dashcam. Steve, the installation technician was prompt on the day and installed the dashcam with minimal fuss and explained the workings etc afterwards. Have since been to Scotland and back and dashcam performed exactly as anticipated. Highly recommended company.

Immobiliser fitting

Bought my immobiliser and the fitting service from Cygnal.
Very good and attentive service start to finish and very happy with the product.
No hesitation in recommending this company for Car/Vehicle devices, great value for money and very trustworthy.

I was very happy with the service and friendly staff I had some parking sensors fitted the look just like they came with the car I had a small problem with the rear sensors which was quickly resolved over the phone they could not be more helpful I would definitely recommend this company

Brilliant company

Extremely happy with the service Cygnal offered! Called up to have rear sensors fitted to my car and I was booked in within the week. Alison was lovely and explained everything throughly. Reece fitted my sensors and called me up within a couple of hours to say the car was ready to collect and tested the sensors with me. Absolute bargain and would recommend to anyone wanting sensors! Thank you all again :)

This is the second time i have used Cygnal for a dash camera set up front and rear and there service is second to none. They have very good knowledge of there products and the installation is very quick and work is very good. Overall great customer service would highly recommend.

Dash Cam Fitting (front and rear)

Booking process was easy and payment was taken, date and tine agreed. Fitting took about 1hr, was asked to sign the document to confirm everything was ok and as I checked the car (car was 2 weeks old from new) the floor door trim had not been refitted properly, as assume this is where the cable for the rear dash cam was hidden. The fitter agreed and refitted it, took a while to get it fitted correctly.

Everything else seemed fine and so I signed and accepted the fitting.

Following that I had the most annoying rattle from the drivers side pillar area, with the car being new, I though this might need time to settle, but it just continued and didn't clear. Contacted the dealer to look into it and they took the car in, Technician could also here the noise and when he called later he explained that the dash cam wiring had not been secured behind pillars and this was then vibrating and causing the rattle. Dealer tidied the cabling up and the rattle was resolved.

I was very cautious about getting the dash cam fitting for this type of reason and didn't goto Halfords etc, in the hope I wouldn't have this type of problem.

Overall I was happy with the fitting, on the surface everything looks great, just the slight niggle that I then had to be told by the dealer that the issue I was complaining about was caused by fitting.

Guys turned up on time, got straight on with the job. Neat and tidy work fitting both front and rear sensors. Guys explained how sensors worked. Both Guys were friendly and courteous. Office who dealt with my query from start to finish were very informative enabling me to make the right choice. Would recommend this firm.

Perfect dashcam install.

I had my new dashcam installed, both front and rear in under two hours and for a reasonable price. Very neat and tidy job, it looks like it came straight from the factory.

I had Cygnal fit my dash cam after making the BIG mistake of trusting a well known high street store to fit my last one to my previous car. From making my initial enquiry to the actual fitting, the ladies in the office and the engineer dealt with me in an ultra professional manner. I was staggered to find that my camera was fitted in around 20 minutes, and what a brilliant job they made of it. Well done, and thanks very much.

Can’t recommend this company enough.

Can’t recommend this company enough.
After being nearly rammed off the road in December having dash cams now makes me feel much safer on the road.
From my very first inquiry everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly.
The young man that fitting the dash cams was lovely , informative and took no time at all to fit them at my home . The cost is excellent for the quality of equipment used ! Keep up the great work !!! Thanks for making me feel safe on the roads .
