Great product
Great product! I have 15 hens and with the hemp bedding I only change their bedding once a year. No issues, no stink!

There was no information on the bag or box about the company or the hemp. I thought the hemp was suppose to be absorbent. The hemp was not absorbent at all. It lasted for about two weeks and it was done. This was a total waste of money!

Delivery was great
Delivery was great. Packaging was great. Instructions really need to be reworked. Several times we were told to use the wrong screws or attach something to the wrong board. Some instructions were detailed where others were very vague. We were also missing a handle for one of the windows. Screws were also labeled by someone who had the handwriting of a kindergartener and it was very hard to decipher. Other than the instructions being bad, missing screws and other parts, we love the coop and it’s very well constructed and designed.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback. we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re so glad to hear that the delivery, packaging, and overall build quality met your expectations and that you’re loving the coop.
We’re very sorry to hear about the confusion with the instructions and the missing window handle- that’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers. Your feedback is incredibly helpful, and we’re actively working on improving our manuals to make them clearer and more consistent.
If you’re still missing any parts or need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team- we’d be more than happy to make it right. Thank you again for your support and for being part of the Carolina Coops family! 🐔💛

Thank you for your feedback! We always try our best to listen to our community, which is why we transitioned to smaller packaging to provide a more lightweight, manageable option for carrying bedding out to the coop. We're sorry the new size missed the mark for you, but we hope the hemp material itself is still working wonderfully for your flock!

We ordered and the delivery was weeks shorter the anticipated, everything was oin one pallet shipment, all numbered and fit was very good!
I’m 75+ and put it together myself on 3 half days work.
We added the Eco Coop to our present coop and it turned out to be just what we needed!
Solid construction and the Chickens love the addition.

Good, but….
Bad: Videos on web were out of date…caused us to think materials were repainted white…was not clear if the ‘acre’ product was used as it seemed everything was Douglas or compressed particle board.
Hired handyman indicated several measurements were incorrect and precuts did not exactly match the instructions…off by as much as1/8” in sections. Paid an extra sizeable amount to have it put together…we figured from the videos it was a 2 day build but with painting it took 4 days with an experienced builder and us painting.
We worried about the shipping and the overall weight as to how we would handle the package. Bribed the driver to help us push it to the backyard so it worked out but I think more information should be provided in that process.
We also had power ran to the coop for cameras, lighting, water and potential coop door automation.
Good: very sturdy…quality build…enough room for 5 chickens. Would recommend but definitely would let others know if the negatives we encountered. Biggest drawback was the time needed to paint and the worry about delivery.

Thank you for the feedback and for recommending our coops! We're thrilled you love the sturdy, high-quality build.
We appreciate your notes and will use them to clarify our website. To clear up any confusion on materials: we never use particle board. Our ACRE product is actually a premium, sustainable material made from upcycled rice hulls! We’ll also make sure it's clearer that our coops arrive unpainted for your customization (which, as you noted, definitely adds to the build time).
Regarding the 1/8" discrepancy, we strive for exact precision, though wood can occasionally shift or swell during transit. Lastly, because our coops are built heavy-duty, they ship via standard curbside freight. We’ll work on highlighting this delivery process more prominently so customers know they will need to move it to the backyard.
Thank you again for your business, and we hope your 5 chickens love their new home!
Excellent!
Great communication and an excellent coop! If we ever decide to purchase another coop we will absolutely get another Carolina Coops coop.
