This is AI scam. regret i fell for it

I am very disappointed that I was taken in after seeing the earrings on pinterest. Not at all like the picture and a website selling cheap poor quality earrings, the clasps don't even work to close them. They say 2 to 5 days delivery time and it was 19 days. I have asked to see the refund policy.

Do not purchase from Carol's Jewellery. This is a scam using AI-generated imagery to create a fictitious website promising handmade goods at a discounted price with a convincing backstory. When the jewellery arrives, it's a cheap imitation of the product advertised. I can't believe I fell for it. The refund policy and email correspondence will probably be a waste of time, but going through the bank protocol; after which, 15 days, I can mark it as a payment dispute with the bank.

Thought the woman's image looked A.I. generated. No address? Definitely suspect. I haven't bought anything and won't. Ever.

Do not use this company. I ordered 2 parcels, and the only one I received for £24. was rubbish and certainly not custom designed/ hand made. They offered me the usual 20% off which I said yes to, but am still waiting for this refund. (back in August - at least). The 2nd parcel for £40 I did not receive at all, and eventually took up a Bank Dispute for the refund. I still have had no satisfaction from Carol's Jewellery. They are dreadful. I wish I had checked with Trustpilot before my purchases.

8th September 2026: dispute is still ongoing. They have lied to my Bank by telling them that the goods were received - which naturally they werent.

These goods are definitely not hand crafted although they state they are on their website.
Dreadful experience! Am not surprised they do not respond to customer complaints on this website.

This company popped up with a beautiful ring on my Pinterest feed so with due diligence I looked them up on Companies House and surprise suprise they don't exist. Scam.

This whole thing is a complete scam! The 'owner' and the shop photos are 100% AI-generated. These are just cheap, mass-produced factory items shipped directly from China, pretending to be handmade. Don't fall for it!"

Like a few other people I would give a zero - I did receive my silver bracelet stack which would have been nice if only they wasn’t cheap plastic silver beads they are light as feather not the weight of 5 bracelets!! They really shouldn’t be allowed to scam people in this way. I will try for a refund but doubt they I will get anywhere with that.

Nothing more than a scam - received a puce of plastic jewellery which broke in my hand . A disgrace and a fraud

This is definitely an AI business. I bought the art deco earrings and they are very cheap and not worth the money.

Full Refund...Not a Chance!!

All I can say is; don't even glance at this website. Your Bank account will know you have when you don't receive the full refund you were hoping for!! I ordered one ring, which took ages to arrive. When I checked the tracking it said "International Shipping"... that's when I realised it was a scam as "Carols Jewellery" purported to be a company in this country. My own fault, I should of researched the website in more depth . I had to send my ring "back" and was offered 20% then 30% discount to keep it. It would of cost me £16 to send it back to China for a full refund (I don't think so!!) In a nutshell, I lost out and "Carol" gained £17 of my money. Please avoid "Carols Jewellery" at all cost.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do NOT buy from this site. “Carol” does not make her jewellery. I paid £25 for “handmade “ earrings that I’ve since found for £2 on Etsy. The earrings they sent were nothing like the picture. I said I wanted a refund and like other reviews, it said I would need to post back to China (Carols is apparently based in America 🤔) The cost of returning to China is almost as much as what I paid (which they know) so the offer of 20/30% refund is offered. They obviously do this with everyone so for each £25 paid on fake earrings , they refund just over £7, not a bad profit for earrings they purchase for a couple of quid. I asked why “carols” handmade earrings can be purchased on other sites, no comment, I asked why my earrings were sent in a cheap plastic wallet and not a velvet pouch like advertised, no comment. It took me weeks got a refund that actually came from a uk address. Absolutely a scam.

This company is a lie. There is no 'Carol' just mass production. Based on the delivery time I imagine it's somewhere like China.
Ring nothing like I ordered and no lovely packaging, just a padded envelope.
It's cheap, but don't expect to get what they are selling. All smoke and mirrors.

This woman is a FAKE, she doesn't design her own jewellery. But buy''s it cheap from China. I should know, because I bought the DRAGON FLY RING myself 5 years ago form a chinese ebay company for £1.30 with free postage!

I ordered a ring from this website because they promised high-quality materials, handmade jewellery, and a discount as they claimed they were closing down. The price was advertised as 80% off, and the website stated that they offered a 90-day money-back guarantee and would cover the return costs. When I received the ring, it was a fake plastic ring with a fake stone. I was extremely disappointed, so I contacted them to request a refund and return. They told me I could return it for a refund, but I would have to pay the return postage, and their factory was in China. They lied about where the company is based and also tried to claim that only their returns company was in China. They then tried to persuade me to accept a partial refund instead—first offering 20%, then 30%. I was constantly communicating with the owner, "Carol", who was supposedly an elderly lady who handmade the jewellery. However, in one of the emails, she said she needed to ask someone higher up, which completely contradicted the story on their website. The whole website and company are a scam. Very, very disappointing. Don't buy anything from them.

the earrings I received were not like the photograph and not worth the money. Can't find any evidence of this company at company house so I guess it's a bit of a scam - it's a very good website, sucked me right in but I should have known from the lack of a phone number. silly me..chalked it up to experience

I would not recommend this seller. The item I received was not as described and the quality was very poor, as the colour faded after very little use.
The seller offered partial refunds instead of a proper resolution and then stopped responding to my messages. I have now raised a dispute with my bank as the issue was not resolved.
Please be careful when purchasing.

Carol does not exist, you get sent cheap jewellery from China and then cant get a refund as their emails are FAKE!!
Im usually so good at checking wesite reviews but this one slipped through and now I am left with an ugly ring that the stone fell out the first time I wore

Site purports to be based in Altrincham U.K yet tracking is from aboard. When I emailed to see why my item taking so long, email does not exist. Raised with my bank for refund. Don't fall for it like I did with the fake Carol and her closing down her shop and selling off some items. The site is sponsored on Pinterest, I have reported it but nothing happens. Avoid like the plague.
