This company is fraudulant. I have been supplied illegal plates. They have in their possession copies of both my log book and driving licence. I am issuing legal proceedings against this company. There is no legal text on the bottom of the plate. Makers name and british standard number.
These plates are illegal. They are fraudulant con artists who should be avoided at all costs. However they dupe you is unknown but know this. They will take your money and they will send you illegal plates. All of their reviews are a sham. You have been warned. There is no contact whatsoever from them. The phones never get answered and the same goes for emails. Please dont send them your money

My initial experience was not good. I paid for priority next day delivery, which didn’t happen. 7 days later my order arrived, and I now understand the reason for delay. I received two packages, one severely damaged, which had been repackaged using “fragile” tape. The second in perfect condition. I can only assume that the first order was damaged in transit, and CPD, quickly produced a replacement. Thank you, credit to the company. My plate was well made, exactly to specification

I had a problem with the plates I bought when one letter fell off the rear plate. Despite having bought the plates over a year ago I contacted Carplatesdirect and with no fuss they apologised, made a new front and back plate and dispatched them in a couple of days free of charge. Fantastic customer service.

Avoid if you expect reliable service and good communication. I paid for next-day delivery, only to find out that my order had been returned. When I contacted the company for an explanation, I was told they don't offer the service I had paid for, which made the whole situation even more frustrating.

Getting a response from customer service was also extremely difficult, despite making several attempts to call. Overall, the service has been very poor, and I am still having to chase a resolution and refund. Very disappointing experience.

Just as it should be, ordered Thursday arrived Friday, plates are spot on.

Why can't you give ZERO stars for this bunch of Charlatans. Avoid avoid AVOID!!!
Ordered a fortnight ago so we could put our personal number on our car. Email a few days later that plate had been manufactured but no further dispatch content. Impossible to speak to them via their phone number and all you can do is "Chat" to their AI chatbot which pulls up a non existent Royal Mail tracking number. Requested a call back which then contacts you with a recorded message asking you to add their number on WhatsApp so they can talk to you!!

I'm contacting Trading Standards.

Plates were printed just fine, but delivery was a bit slow (not your fault I know, but using Evri for delivery is asking for trouble!)

Exactly what we wanted, carefully but not over-packaged, and delivered on time.

Bad experience unfortunately.

Ordered a new set of narrow plates for a new car on a Saturday and paid for priority delivery. Received an email to say they had been manufactured on the Monday - all good. Never received any tracking and had to chase on the Friday. Received a response to say they had been shipped with Evri (not the best courier if paying priority). The tracking link just states they are expecting the parcel. Have emailed three further times with no response to say that I needed them to get my car back on the road on Friday afternoon. In the end I needed to go to a local garage and get a normal sized pair of plates made to get my car back on the road (it had been in with a detailer getting a full paint correction detail / PPF / ceramic coating). The original plates had been damaged and binned on the assumption these would have arrived in time. Car Plates Direct say the plates should have been with me for the Wednesday or the Thursday. It's now 7 days since I ordered and still no sign of them being with Evri, so I have asked for a full refund. As things stand, no response. If this gets resolved, I will of course update the review to confirm. *Update 11-08-26 - I received a full refund so have added on a star for that.

I still waiting for my plates and its now over 2 weeks and they say you should get them by this week but sod all and they dont get back to you had my money but nothink plz dont get them of them
