An appalling product followed by equally appalling after-sales service.
Our carport supplied and installed by Contemporary Canopies / Carports Canopies is literally falling apart. Multiple fixings have fallen out, brackets have detached, holes are exposed and sections of the structure are separating. The attached photographs show the extremely poor condition clearly—this is not a cosmetic complaint or ordinary wear and tear.
A professionally designed and installed carport should not deteriorate like this. The failed fixings and separating panels also raise obvious concerns about the integrity of the installation.
Despite being notified while the carport is under warranty and being given the opportunity to put matters right, the company has refused to carry out the necessary warranty repairs. Once they had our money, their advertised promises about quality, installation and warranty support proved worthless in our experience.
We paid for a professionally supplied, properly installed and durable structure—not a carport that falls apart apart and leaves us chasing the company to accept responsibility.
The most disturbing part is not merely that the product has failed; it is the company’s refusal to stand behind its own workmanship and warranty when confronted with clear photographic evidence. The CEO is exceptionally patronising and is now not responding to our emails.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Contemporary Canopies / Carports Canopies. Potential customers should think very carefully before spending their money with a company that, in our case, supplied a failing installation and then refused to fix it under warranty.

Kappion designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke canopy to provide sheltered storage outside my back door that will keep both logs for my wood-burning stove dry and me dry when I have to fetch them in on wet winter evenings. The canopy is just what I wanted, and the whole design and installation experience first rate. Kappion surveyed the site with a drone, from which they produced a video showing what their proposed canopy would look like. That lead me to change my spec slightly to improve my first thoughts, and Kappion’s revised video confirmed to me that it was an improved design. Kappion sent me detailed design specs to review from which I found one potential snag which Kappion remedied before manufacture and missed another minor snag which I worked-around after installation.

I’m just delighted with the whole experience and the end result, which is of first-rate quality.
