Cash4gold Avis 24

I sent in 18g worth of 9ct gold, a few grams of silver, designer watches and sunglasses. Ended up waiting 5 weeks for my box to be evaluated and my quote was… £244. Absolutely shocking… Asked for my box to be returned, took the gold into my local gold shop and got just over £700 for the gold alone. Don’t waste your time, if you have valuable metals take them to your local cash for gold shop you will get a lot more.

I would not use this company again!
On the website it advertised the going rate per gram for that day. I weighed my husband’s jewellery, sent it off & waited for the call.
A very excitable man rang the next day with what he described as an amazing offer! The offer was much less than I had calculated. I challenged it & later that day was contacted again with an increase of over £1.000😳 He did accept that. My sister had a similar experience & was told they only pay a percentage of the amount offered per gram on their website. So, it’s pointless weighing your jewellery before sending it off unless you can find out what the percentage is on the day which seems to change depending on your reaction to the first offer.

I would say that my experience has been great. Speed of processing to payment was quick. The items I sent were valued for what I would say was a good price, a lot more than I expected. Kane was friendly and helpful.

Very efficient organisation . I was happy with the valuation on some gold chains and bangle I had . I thought it fair valuation quick and easy to deal with !yes I would recomend.

Obviously any good reviews on this company are not written bt genuine customers. Or if they are then more fool you for dealing with them, you got less than half of the value. if only you did a bit of homework

I received a pack to send off my gold ...took it to the post office early the next day I received a valuation within 30 minutes of accepting the valuation the money was in my bank ...very efficient...very friendly and honest and valuation was more than my expectations...I would most definitely use these again ...thank you to cash4gold I appreciate this transaction and am pleased I chose you

I heard their advert and sent the text. Envelope received more or less straightaway. I didn't return it immediately, they texted me twice to see why.
I finally took the plunge.
Sent off 5 small pure 24 carat gold coins 1.55 grams each = 7.75 grams
1 x 14 carat gold coin weighing 7.77 grams = 4.53 grams pure
1 x 16 inch 9 carat gold chain - weight unknown
I x 9 carat gold earring weight unknown
1 x 22 carat small gold cross weight unknown.
Offer made & accepted £764 00
Asked for a breakdown of the price paid per item. Francesca s seeaid they didn't do that. I found that odd.
Nevertheless, at £80 per gram of pure gold, the coins, which may well have sold for more if patience was one of my virtues. I was being paid probably about 70% of that £80 at about £56 per gram = £672.
So that left £92 for the chain, earning & cross.
In hindsight, I should have haggled, but I don't think they would have gone much higher.
The process was quick, painless, the money was in my bank within the hour.
Shop around online, you might get a bit more,

Had my gold 9ct bracelet valued at a jewellery shop at 400 they said it was worth 212 even the weight of the gold the shop said its well worth more than that.

I really can't praise Cash4Gold highly enough. I was originally reluctant to use the company, but decided to 'bite the bullet'
I don't make a habit of reviewing companies, but I have to say, the were extremely professional and helpful....they did exactly what it says on the can.

Was offered £711 for three pieces of jewellery when we turned the offer down the guy was pretty snotty with us and told us we wouldn't get a better price anywhere. Just sold the three pieces to online company Louis Bullion for £1280. Money now in my bank Kane!!!!! Go figure, don't use this company.

Advert quite misleading as to what price they actually pay. I was offered £500 for a value I’d estimated at £800. After asking them to return my jewellery it was increased to £590. Although my money was in my account almost immediately I will look at going to a jewellers or selling on eBay or Vinted.

Mailed two items yesterday - was aware of weight & value of both items. This morning already Kane was patient & listened to my reasoning! Resulted in very fair payment (transferred to my bank) within the hour. Have already arranged to fwd a further item - yes would recommend!

BEWARE, Sent in over 10 grams of gold, includeing white gold and quite a bit of silver.
Sent me a valuation of £20.17p what a joke, or it would cost me £15 to get my items back.
One of my items was a gold plated bracelet, which made up a good part of the weight for the gold, they tried to say I only had 2.1 grams of gold, so was under their 10 grams. Beware of this company.
Better using your local jeweller.
Their advert does not state the 10 gram limit has to be pure gold, or these items would not have been sent, what a rip off. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I used this company twice in 2 weeks and both times they got back to me with a valuation within 18 hours of posting my gold to them and my money was in my bank account within an hour of accepting the valuation. I understand that some people think they are getting less for their gold using this company and I was a little disappointed with the valuation, but the convenience more than made up for that. I live in a rural location and would have used half a tank of petrol or more taking my unloved gold to my nearest jewellers. I'd like to thank in particular Cain who guided me through the process and also Mitchell who kindly helped me with an enquiry. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company, purely for the speed and convenience.

Be careful if you use this company. I got a bracelet valued locally, I then heard their advert so thought I would see what they would valued it at. Well I was very shocked as they valued it nearly £200 less than my first valuation. When I challenged them they upped the valuation to nearer to my first valuation. Do some research before you send them anything but I would steer clear. I asked for my bracelet to be sent back.

I had some chains in a jewellery box not worn for 20+years and sent them in the envelope provided, received a call with the valuation which was £950. It was paid into my bank a few hours later.
Very pleased with the outcome and would use again.
