Amazing experience from start to finish. Should be required training for everyone with a performance car. I had an excellent day at Millbrook with Steve Tanner, booked as a Performance Driver Group Day via Porsche Club GB. Steve is an excellent communicator and was very encouraging as we worked through the various elements of the coaching - including braking, lane changing, high speed stability and cornering techniques.
It was a very hot day at circa 36C but that didn't interfere with the schedule at all, Millbrook is a perfect setup for this kind of capability building in all weather conditions.
Many thanks to the CAT team for their excellent organisation of the day and to Steve in particular for a very enjoyable experience. I left with even more confidence in my 991.1 C4S and my ability to enjoy it safely.

Colin is an exceptionally gifted & knowledgeable teacher...& that doesn't do him justice!

I will never forget the trust he installed in me about how my car worked mechanical/engineering wise, on a day I was privileged to be a part of.

Also, the amount of trust he had in me throughout the entire day, was worthy of the day alone.

Anyone who is curious about how your own/one of their cars actually perform when pushed, CAT Driver training is the answer.

Great day with the team from CAT driver training I really learned a lot from Colin about how to get more from my Porsche Cayman and his approach really helped to build my confidence. I was very nervous about doing this course as I suffer from severe COPD and related anxiety. Colin and the team managed to put me at ease and I enjoyed the day immensely.

Having spent Friday 5 June with Colin and the team I am still trying to process all of the information I absorbed throughout the day.

Like all people who drive high performance cars, our over estimation of our abilities are second to none! However, so was my willingness to listen to Colin and then attempt to put into practise what he was saying.

Trail braking into corners much deeper than I had imagined to get the car balanced and ready for the throttle, stopped the tail sliding show boating exits, and instead saw smooth transitions from straights to corners to straights.

Colin’s patience and willingness to allow me to go to and over the limit whilst learning was the game changer. He pushes you hard and encourages you to go beyond the traction the car has so you can learn to drive as the car is right on the edge of traction.

The “skid pan”, was hilarious. Drifting my 911 992.1 Turbo S, steering one handed whilst having a chat with Colin as we went round and round is something I will not forget.

But that pails into insignificance when after 20 minutes on the Skills Circuit track it all came together. Three laps back to back right on the limit of the car and myself – ultimate petrol head Nivarna!!!

I came away humbled as to what my car can do with better driver inputs, instantly a better/safer driver both on road and track, but most importantly with a huge smile on my face!

Excellent facility within the Millbrook Proving Ground, First class tuition, learnt a ton of stuff not just about advanced driving techniques and dynamics but also about the engineering and how my car works. Colin the founder of CATS driving and my instructor for the day was superb offering insight and great instruction - his approach to training was brilliant. Highly recommended - Just do it!

Second visit to CAT Driver training this time had the day with Colin.
As per the 1st visit, from the warm introduction to the structure of the day geared towards my needs the whole day was at once professional, relaxed, challenging and satisfying.
Colin’s extensive knowledge and experience will not leave you short of ideas, his enthusiasm will always encourage you to meet your goals and his ability to interpret some random thoughts into a cohesive strategy and then a measurable change in your driving will make you look back at the end of the day with a real sense of achievement and a desire to keep improving.

A thoroughly enjoyable day of one-on-one tuition with Chief Instructor Colin Hoad, who is excellent not only at teaching the practical skills - but explaining the theory too. A great day in every respect and highly recommended.

I attended the L3 course at the weekend. My aim was to develop my driving skills on the road and explore the capabilities of my car in a safe environment. I have to admit some nerves before the session. My instructor, Steve, was excellent. Through his clear instruction of technique and progressive application on the track, I gained confidence in my abilities throughout the day, while thoroughly enjoying the experience. I learned so much. At the end of the day all my objectives had been met and I would like to explore further courses through CAT. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone serious about developing their driving skills.

I'm always dubious when I see only 5* reviews. However, having recently completed the Road Level 3 Course with CAT Driver Training I thought the experience was excellent from start to finish and very much 5*.

Colin was outstanding throughout the day. His knowledge and experience were obvious immediately, but what really stood out was the way he delivered the training. He was professional, calm and extremely approachable, which created a relaxed environment that allowed people to settle in quickly and focus on improving their driving. I'm not an engineer but Colin was able to explain concepts and help me understand what my car does and why.

Colin has a very natural coaching style. He was clear, constructive and encouraging and was able to identify areas for improvement without making the experience feel intimidating or critical. The feedback was practical, easy to apply and tailored to me, which made a real difference over the course of the day.

The course was engaging, well structured and genuinely enjoyable. I came away feeling that I had improved both my driving and my understanding of the principles behind advanced roadcraft.

I would highly recommend both Colin and CAT Driver Training to anyone looking to develop their driving skills in a professional and supportive environment.

A great day with Colin, learned so much in the day at milbrook. Colin is a wealth of driving and automotive knowledge,and is a top man too! I was amazed at the difference made, by using the driving techniques that Colin taught. If you are considering taking one of the Cat driving training days, don't delay any longer, You will not regret it.

A well explained and practical experience given by a knowledgeable instructor.
Having the course one to one with the areas driven on being mostly free of other traffic is very helpful.
Trail braking and looking further ahead are the two best points which I used to great effect yesterday at Spa.

You don’t know, what you don’t know.
I did the same course 3 years ago yet I managed to learn even more. They brought my driving and car control along even further than before. Extremely well run, explained and with practical application.
I would recommend everyone consider doing this regardless of your ability. What ever your level you will learn something and come away a better and more confident driver for it.

Lynne, Jo and Steve did a fantastic job of hosting and instructing on our course. Steve's knowledge of car dynamics, engineering, driving craft and how the brain learns and develops new skills was the best you could have. Each lesson was a step in the process and when put together at the end of the day we were doing things in a car that we wouldn't have thought possible of ourselves at the start of the day. Everything was done with safety, control and confidence building in mind. I would thoroughly recommend any of the CAT Driver Training courses to anyone interested.

Its hard to know where to start! Its an exceptional company, with really friendly, approachable and highly capable people, who make you feel incredibly welcome and ensure that you get the best experience from your day. CAT Driver Training delivered a training day that was insightful, fun, stretching and gave you a set of advanced skills to apply to your everyday road driving! I would not hesitate to recommend them. I am still grinning from ear to ear!
