Please exercise caution when booking with this company. Our experience suggests that once payment has been received, customer care and accountability are lacking if issues arise during or after your stay.

Following our visit to Horncastle Estate and Spa, multiple guests contracted hot tub folliculitis. Although the water appeared clear upon arrival, the hot tub was extremely cold, contained gravel at the bottom, and there was no noticeable chlorine smell. The owner did attend to heat the hot tub; however, after consulting medical professionals, we were informed that rapidly heating previously cold water can create ideal conditions for bacterial growth if the water is not properly treated and tested.

The owner confirmed that no chlorine or additional chemicals were added, nor was the water tested during our stay, stating that it had been tested three days earlier. In our opinion, this is unacceptable for a property marketed as a premium luxury venue charging approximately £5,000 for a two-night stay. A hot tub used by guests should be checked and maintained daily.

There were also several cleanliness and maintenance issues throughout the property. Multiple rooms contained large cobwebs, the bathrooms were inadequately stocked (with only half a toilet roll available for 17 guests), and despite being advertised, there was not one towel provided per guest. We also noticed drink spill marks on the glass ceiling and stair areas.

The property was advertised as having two hot tubs, but only one was available upon arrival, which was wholly inadequate for a group of 17 guests.

Additionally, the listing advertised a cinema room; however, this was simply a standard living room. A karaoke machine was also listed as an amenity, but it did not work.

When we raised our concerns with Celebration Cottages, we were informed that they had conducted an “extensive investigation.” In reality, this appeared to consist solely of speaking with the property owner, who naturally denied responsibility.

Most concerningly, 15 out of the 17 guests returned home with rashes and bumps, particularly under their arms. Two guests required antibiotics and were forced to take a full week off work as a result.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of customer service, accountability, and concern for guest welfare was extremely frustrating. Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking with this company. You could get a much better service elsewhere for £5000

We booked the Woodland Retreat through Celebration Cottages for a hen weekend and paid thousands of pounds expecting a high-standard property suitable for a special occasion. Instead, we spent a large part of the weekend dealing with problems that should never have existed in the first place.

The most serious issue was that half of the property had no hot water, including the kitchen and some of the showers. With 17 women staying at the property, this meant sharing limited facilities and being unable to properly use parts of the house as intended. Despite reporting the issue first thing in the morning, we did not have full hot water restored until approximately 6pm on the second evening of our stay.

On arrival, essential supplies were missing and had to be chased. We were left spending our time contacting staff and trying to resolve basic issues rather than enjoying the weekend we had paid for. The outside bin area was overflowing and in an unacceptable state, and the hot tub appeared murky and unclean.

To make matters worse, the property did not match the impression given by the online listing. Furniture and seating shown in the photographs were missing, leaving insufficient seating for our group. The garden also lacked features shown in the advertising, including a shaded area that was particularly important during the extremely hot weather we experienced.

What has frustrated me most is the response afterwards. Although the company acknowledged a number of the issues, they ultimately refused any form of compensation or goodwill gesture. Their position appears to be that because the problems were eventually addressed, no refund is warranted. I completely disagree. When you pay a premium price for a celebration property, you should not have to spend your weekend dealing with missing supplies, cleanliness concerns, inaccurate advertising and a major hot water failure.

This was supposed to be a special hen weekend. Instead, it became a weekend of chasing staff, reporting problems and dealing with issues that should have been resolved before guests arrived. I would not book through Celebration Cottages again and would strongly advise others to consider alternative companies before spending a significant amount of money on one of their properties.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Perfect Hen Party Getaway

We stayed at Botanic Retreat & Spa in Doncaster for a one-night hen party with 11 ladies, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

The venue itself is stunning, beautifully decorated, spacious, and ideal for a group celebration. As soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed and ready to enjoy the weekend together.

The afternoon tea by Sally was fantastic, with a wonderful selection of delicious treats that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We were also treated to spa treatments by two amazing ladies, who made us all feel pampered and relaxed. Their professionalism and friendly approach really added something special to the experience.

A huge thank you also goes to our private chef, Lorna. The three-course meal she prepared for us was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and one of the highlights of our stay. Every course was enjoyed by the whole group, and it felt like a real luxury experience.

The combination of great food, relaxing treatments, and quality time with friends made for an unforgettable hen party. We made so many wonderful memories and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate.

I have just returned from a fabulous hen weekend at Bowlands Party Retreat. Great venue with loads of thoughtful extras. Comfy beds, hot tubs all ready and at temperature for immediate use. Amazing party room and games room.

The 2 chefs we had were fab, and their food was superb. We had canapés, pizza night, afternoon tea and a 3 course meal. All delicious 😋 they even served our drinks and dealt with the washing up/dishwashers.

Loved the cocktail making with Amber, she was brilliant and went above and beyond to take a group photo of us from above.

Henry the life drawing bloke was a lovely lad.
Then there were 2 more great blokes, activity entertainers (sorry I forgot their names) but their enthusiasm and party games made us all laugh.
What with the activities, and owner himself along with the managers, everyone we encountered was lovely and did their upmost to ensure we had the best time.
A great time was had by all 😀❤️

Wowsers!!! What a weekend we had at lower flass farm in clithero. The accommodation was fantastic, lots of space, a games room, a party/disco/karaoke room, two hot tubs, outdoor seating, comfy beds, beautiful countryside views. It's been absolutely amazing. The activities were also top notch, all arranged by celebration cottages. I can recommend every one of them especially the 3 course meal cooked by the chefs who also cleaned up afterwards! 2 nights was just not enough, I didn't want to leave. Thank you for making an unforgettable weekend 👍

Stayed at bowlands retreat for a hen party weekend. Brilliant from start to finish. All activities sorted for us, private chef, butlers & the owner bringing his horse for pictures for the cowboy themed day! Highly recommend x

We have just returned from a hen party held at Bowlands Party Retreat, organised by Celebration Cottages.
It has been perfect from start to finish. The house is amazing with a games room, party room, hot tubs and plenty of bedrooms to accommodate everyone.
We had private chefs that catered for us over the weekend, pizzas, afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal. All very delicious and would highly recommend using.
We had cocktail making, live drawing and butlers in the buff who added a great surprise to the party. Again would highly recommend.

Just had a brilliant weekend away at the Bowland Party Retreat. The property was amazing, with my favourite parts being the hot tubs and disco room with pole! All activities were well planned and great fun. I can highly recommend the life drawing and cocktail making!! The owner was brilliant and brought round a white horse and some lambs to see us!! The location was excellent too with some beautiful countryside. We took a short walk and saw a deer and rabbit ❤️.

We stayed at Bowlands Party Retreat this weekend, booked through Celebration Cottages, for my best friend's hen weekend, and it exceeded every expectation.

From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised and made for an unforgettable celebration. The accommodation was fantastic, with plenty of space for our group and everything we needed for a special weekend away.

A huge highlight was the incredible private chef experience. The three-course meal was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and such a treat for the whole group. We also had the pleasure of enjoying cocktail making with a wonderful host who kept us entertained while teaching us how to create some amazing drinks.

The Butlers in Buff were another standout part of the weekend – professional, fun, and they brought so much energy to the celebrations. They were absolutely incredible and helped make the hen party extra special.

We also enjoyed live painting, which was a unique and memorable addition to the weekend.

The biggest thank you has to go to the owner, who went above and beyond to help create a truly magical surprise for the bride-to-be. He arranged for his beautiful white horse to visit the property, which was a complete surprise and an incredibly special moment that she'll never forget. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how much care goes into making guests' celebrations unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone involved for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bowlands Party Retreat and Celebration Cottages to anyone planning a special occasion. X

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better hen party experience from start to finish! Every single detail was perfect.
The chef prepared the most delicious meals throughout the weekend – every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely incredible. The cocktail lady was so much fun, bringing amazing energy to the group, and the cocktail selection was fantastic with something for everyone.
The butlers were brilliant, keeping the atmosphere lively with great games, lots of laughs, and bringing so much energy to the celebrations. They really made the whole experience even more memorable.
And the live drawing was hands down one of the funniest parts of the weekend! Everyone was in hysterics, and it created memories we'll be talking about for years. It's an absolute must-book for any hen party.

We had a 2 night stay at the Toulouse Spa Lodge and the house was beautiful! Perfect setting for 18 women celebrating a hen do and we had amazing weather too! The house was clean and well prepared for this type of occasion, the layout was perfect for large gatherings where everyone could chill and party together. The karaoke room was fabulous although the internet was temperamental! One of the only disappointments was that the hot tub wouldn’t allow you to have the jets/bubbles on after 10pm (which for us was the ideal time to use it). We opted for the cocktail class and 3 course chefs meal. The cocktail class was good but the suppliers didn’t have enough shakers for everyone to do this simultaneously which made it seem a little over priced. The chefs meal was nice however there was very little interaction e.g the chef and their assistant literally just said hi and bye and handed us our food in between! It was fine for us as we made our own entertainment but if you’re looking for a chef hosting experience with some interaction/entertainment this wasn’t it!
The balconies and outdoor seating areas were perfect for socialising and celebrating together and the bedrooms/bathrooms were all lovely.
Kitchen was clean and fit for purpose although the chef did mention there wasn’t enough plates for our party of 18.
There was plenty of parking and the fact you were next to lots of other hen do’s is perfect for celebrating with music etc.
We had a wonderful time and I would really recommend to anyone wanting a hen do in a party house, I would just pick the additional activities carefully.

Girlie Getaway 🥂✨

Our experience with Celebration Cottages was AMAZING!!! We had our girlie getaway at ‘The White House’ with the pizza night activity. We opted for the option of a singer also and it transformed the experience. The booking process was easy and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly throughout!

The house was STUNNING and easy to get to from the road network, clean and the decor was Instagram worthy at every turn! You can tell it was designed with women in mind as there are so many getting ready spots with mirrors and lighting set up too! There is plenty of room for parking outside and the sun path meant we could enjoy being outside whilst the sun was shining into the afternoon/evening!

We all enjoyed the karaoke and party room set up with the bar which led to the sauna and spa downstairs. We will have to book a massage next time!

The pizza night activity was brilliant and we each got to make and choose our own pizza and toppings with the help from the expert - this activity is a must book for a celebration stay! We opted for a singer also and she was fabulous, we were up on our feet, dancing, singing along and it transformed the vibe for the evening!

We finished our night with fizz and bubbles in the hot tub which was the best way to end a memorable stay. The beds were super comfy and spacious and we didn’t want to leave. It was honestly such a great stay, I couldn’t recommend highly enough! 💫

My Daughter arranged an overnight stay in The Flamingo Spa and Temple House for my other daughters hen party. It was amazing and there was a wow around every corner we turned.
We had afternoon tea waiting on arrival and a three course meal cooked for us in the evening. The chefs (Oscar and Paul) who prepared it for us, went above and beyond to make our experience good. The food was beautiful. And so did the three ladies that did our spa treatments throughout the day. There was 27 ladies that all had treatments and each and everyone of us enjoyed them.
Our experience from start to finish was perfect, I would definitely recommend Celebration Cottages and definitely will use again. Very helpful with any questions we had whilst waiting for our stay.

I'm so glad I used Celebration Cottages to organise and book my friend's hen party. They have an incredible selection of houses to choose from and some great add-on activities to take some of the hassle off your plate! Communication and the booking process were very smooth. We stayed in the Contemporary Barn & Spa and the bride and whole hen party were in awe of the property when we arrived. The hot tub and its incredible views were an especially huge hit. Everyone had an absolutely amazing weekend, thank you!

Celebration cottages is a fantastic company and provide an excellent service from enquiring, booking and keeping you updated throughout the whole process. Everyone at Celebration Cottages has been brilliant and very friendly. They made the whole process feel easy and well organised. I would recommend using them (get booking your hen do!!!) and im hoping I get the chance to use them in the future for any Celebrations we want to celebrate at one of these beautiful houses
