Got a mantle for over the wood burning stove . Arrived swiftly and customer service was great had a small issue . My installer commented on what nice quality the wood was . Big recommendation from me and competitive price .

Ordered 8" x 8" x 5' part worked oak beam on Sunday 8th September it was delivered to Scotland on Sunday 15th September. The company provides useful installation guides on YouTube. Allowing for the beam to acclimatize before oiling, the beam was fitted Tuesday 24th. We are delighted with the beam and the exceptional service from Celtic Timber. Many thanks.

very happy with product, great communication

A disappointing experience.
I had heard good things about the company and decided to give them a try.
Ordered boards with a full bull nose but all came with only an edge round, one board also had dead knots on both sides of the board.
Company refused to acknowledge the problems, and offered to send a courier and a refund.
I would have expected them to at least offer to send a set of replacements with the courier (without the refund clearly).
Unfortunately this would mean that I would have to re-pack them up, spend a day waiting for a courier on site, and re-arrange my week.
As this is a family business I’ll chalk it down to a uniquely poor set of circumstances, but I won’t be using them again nor am able to recommend them to others.

I ordered a log to use as a pot stand in my garden. It arrived really quickly and it looks great :)

Bought an oak beam to go over our fireplace and wood burning stove. Good price, arrived in the advertised time, well packaged. We went for planed & unfinished - a beautiful & characterful beam which looks even better than the website pictures. It really will be a focal point of the room.
Two cautions - check with a qualified person on where a beam can fit relative to stove and flue (distance to combustables).
- our beam is 6 x 4 inches by 5 feet - it's not exactly light to carry unless you're used to that sort of thing.

Ordered an oak beam on the Saturday and it was delivered on Friday. I was a little bit dubious as to what it would look like when it arrived as not being able to 'choose' the beam was a worry for me, but I am over the moon with the beam that was sent. The little planning that was done, looks authentic and adds character to the beam. The packaging was well thought out and provided perfect protection. I would highly recommend.

My order of a builders bag of firewood was
Not delivered on the date promised
Dumped at the bottom of my drive instead of close to the log store as usual
Although the wood is dry, each piece is caked in mud
Pieces are much bigger than usual.
I have phoned you, and not received any helpful response

Excellent customer service, ordered 3 x oak boards which were made perfectly. On one of the boards i wanted some engraving done to my spec which was executed with perfection.

The delivery time was 3 weeks from ordering which was very good, as was notification of when courier would
deliver the product.

All round an excellent service!

Bought a barrel for my son’s birthday was delivered the day before as arranged. Communication was spot on good customer service. I can’t comment on the the barrel as not seen it but my son is delighted 🤩 Thank you. Would definitely recommend the Guys at Celtic Timber

Only received 2 of 3 packages from SGK Distribution that Celtic Timber uses , driver said he was getting last one of van then did a flying runner , then seen he’s faked my signature for delivery, very unprofessional couriers please beware before ordering or ask them to use a different company , can’t comment on mantle surround , because I’ve only received half of it

Ordered a bespoke length oak fireplace mantle beam recently, and it was delivered today.
Excellent service all round - Excellent quality and as anticipated (we used CT about 7/8 years ago for another mantle); supplied quickly; very well packaged and all at a very reasonable price.
Looking forward to fitting it and watching it mature in colour and see the natural cracks & splits emerge in the coming years - at least that’ll be my excuse for spending so much time in front of the wood burner 😉

Surprisingly low price for a "james martin style' chopping board. Not exactly James Martin style but nice enough. Arrived 2 weeks after ordering, very well packaged, would prefer a non signed for service as i'm not staying in for a £20 product delivery that needs a signature (try Royal Mail T24 service, it's incredible). A very nice board, flat and smooth, but I would have appreciated if the product description had mentioned SOMEWHERE that the board arrives untreated. Board butter came with it but from what i've read about making a chopping board, a coat of oil/wax isn't really enough for longevity. Scant instructions. Nevertheless, if it works, I would order another.

I found this company straightforward to order from, with good communication. I'm pleaed with the oak barrel I bought from them. Obviously it's used, but in good condition and holding water nicely with no leaks.

Wow what a terrible company to buy from, purchased
A supposedly oak chopping board from them. It turn out to be 3 pieces of wood glued together, I have only had it a couple of weeks. Put the butter on as requested by them, now it’s all splitting on the glue joints. This product was not cheap, when I complained
Got sarky emails back , informing me because it’s a natural product it will be prone to movement and splitting as it says on their website. Well the oak furniture I have in my boys bedroom has not split😂😂😂 if it had been a solid piece of oak this would not have happened.instead of 3 pieces of wood glued together, I am not going to get any further progress with these thieves.So it’s gone in the bin ordered a new one from a proper wood company. Please do not give these people your hard earned money, because they’re so called customer service just try to palm you off.

Excellent communication and the chopping board exceeded my expectations. Fabulous

Recently purchased a 70gallon barrel as an ice bath. I was slightly nervous about delivery as some reviews on that were poor but everything went perfectly.

The barrel was heavier than I imagined but rolled easily in to place.

The 70gallon option is a perfect size for me (6 foot, 14 1/2 stone). I had the optional internal seat added but I’m not sure it was necessary as with buoyancy and my knees braced against the side I don’t think I actually sit on it.

The barrel is watertight as promised. I didn’t order the tree trunk step as I have some steps already so can’t comment on that.

An absolute joy to deal with and the most wonderful barrel is now taking pride place in our garden. Dipping daily so plenty of use - even had neighbours purchasing too as so impressed.
It looks amazing and cold dips is doing wonders for our health, mentally and physically. Great company with a great product!! Highly recommend!!

I have now bought four large Waney edge Oak shelves, a Oak mantle beam and a Waney edge Oak work top for my bathroom. The products look stunning in situ in my cottage and I have found Celtic Timber to be very consistent. It is refreshing dealing with a personable company who are happy to discuss and who are across the detail of an order.

I have recommend Celtic Timber to a familiar member who has also have a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to endorse this family firm to anyone who is looking for quality solid wood products.

Wooden mantlepiece arrived within the timeframe they suggested and looks great. Packaged with mainly eco packaging too, which is always a win. A tip: if you don't know what colour you want, you can always buy a the lightest timber colour and stain it yourself later
