Extremely helpful and efficient service
Extremely helpful, efficient and quick service from James Cleaver at Charlecote Estates. He called us immediately after finishing the home buyer survey and talked us through the key findings. His comprehensive written report, including photographs, was in our inbox well within 24 hours of him completing the survey. The report contains an excellent level of detail and he has offered a follow up call to explain any matters further if required.

Great service provided. Charlcote was responsive, quick to act and provided clear detailed information. I was given a verbal report via a phone call straight after the survey followed up that evening with a detailed report e-mailed to me. Great service.

The survey was scheduled at short notice and the surveyor produced a very detailed report the same day.
We were impressed by the thorough nature of the report, which was written in plain English so we found it easy to understand.

Great company to work with, James got back to our enquiry very swiftly and booked the survey for ten days later. The survey was extremely detailed and even our builder has marvelled at the level of detail. Really impressed with the service provided and we would use them again, we’ve already recommended them to two of our friends!

Excellent service, would use again
James always responded to our emails and messages and was quick in doing so. We opted for a homebuyers report which was booked in and sent to us swiftly. He also called us on the day of the visit to run through any issues before emailing it to us the next day. There was a discrepancy on one part of the report, through no fault of the surveyor, which James amended and sent us the new report with no problems. Very reasonable price, very happy with the report. I would definitely recommend and would use again in the future.

The survey was completed very quickly after instruction and was detailed. I received a call form the surveyor on the day of the survey telling me I could call him if I read the survey and had any additional questions. Great service.

Provided good report
Provided good report - property reasonably modern so wasn't expected to be difficult - but nevertheless he pointed out some minor issues we should be aware of. I'm a retired conveyancing solicitor so have seen many of these reports so I don't give accolades easily.

After doing a bit of research online…
After doing a bit of research online and reading so many reviews, I’ve decided to choose Charlecote Estates for my Home Buyer’s Report. And I’m glad I did.
James is very professional and organised the inspection within 2 days. The report was thorough and detailed and included photos as well, which most of the surveyors don’t add in the HB report.
James also identified some important risks and advised me to address those before the exchange of contracts.
Overall, very happy with the service and would highly recommend!

James came to see me at the time we arranged and was extremely thorough in explaining to me the process of the survey.On completing the survey he rang me to explain the results then e- mailed me a copy.He explained any query I had very clearly & patiently.I would certainly recommend the firm .

They did not get into contact before…
They did not get into contact before surveying the property to enquire if there were any issues of concern. It was only when they sent the terms and conditions to sign that I found out they had undertaken it already.

Thank you for your feedback, please do accept my apologies for this and I am sorry that you were not happy with the service that we provided. I can assure you that this is not our normal practice as is clear from the other reviews from our many satisfied customers.
We were appointed by your chosen lender to provide the Homebuyer Survey and Mortgage Valuation and we are reliant upon the contact information provided to us by them, as we do not deal with you in the first instance. On this occasion we had not been provided with any contact information for you and had been chasing for this prior to the date of the survey from your lender, unfortunately this still had not been provided to us on the survey date and rather than cancel the surveys which could have resulted in delaying the purchase of the property, we felt that it would be beneficial for us to proceed and deal with the paperwork retrospectively. I can appreciate that you may have wished to highlight concerns or discuss the survey prior and this would have been our normal approach. With this in mind we would be more than happy to have this discussion now and if you feel that the survey report provided did not cover any of these points adequately we could provide an amended report or return to the property to look at these issues specifically.
