Charleston Coast Vacations by dunes properties Avis 

The people that work at Dunes Properties are great (shout out to my sweet Tyler Haig from home!!). I wish I had known in advance about the "change in beach status". I chose the place we were staying so that my Mom (who is 88) could put her "toes in the water", her wish every year. She was not even able to go to the water as it was so far away. It's like they picked up the ocean and moved it since I was last there! We couldn't HEAR it (which is a huge part of being "beach front" to us), and we could barely see it. I know that we were not the only ones disappointed as many people staying there were talking about it. I will chose another place next year (although the place was awesome) and will definitely ask where the beach is before booking it! Beachfront doesn't mean beachfront anymore.....sadly. Great home, with many of the comforts of our own home. The extra beach chairs and wagon made our beach trips a breeze. Appreciated being able to bring our furry kids too! Looking forward to our next trip!

Great location. Close to shops and restaurants. Pools were nice. Found a great company to set up blue resort chairs and umbrellas each day. That was a huge help. Beach was more crowded than I am used too but it was ok. Condo was nice. Had some nice bathroom updates. Upon arrival I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. The table and counters had not been wiped down from previous renter. So after further inspection I ended up washing all our linens again just to make sure. Patio furniture could use some updating. Overall I would stay in the condo community again but maybe a different unit.

This was our first time staying on Folly Beach. We loved our condo and our location oceanfront. Between the beach, the pool, and all restaurants/bars within walking distance, we had the best time. We are definitely coming back!

Every aspect of our stay at Charleston Oceanfront Villas was perfect. Easy reservations, great check-in and check-out process, well furnished condos, made for a perfect family vacation.

Everything was wonderful. Your staff is very pleasant and very efficient. They were so nice to deal with when we picked up our keys and in checking out. The place was great. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. If we ever come back to Folly Beach we will book our reservations with you.

Met all expectations. Rental property was as promised and everything was great. Great area!

Beach Music cottage in great location in the Wild Dunes Resort with easy access to the beach. Ample room for the eight members of our family.
Would recommend ceiling fans for three bedrooms, as master bedroom is the only bedroom which has one. Also, due to heat and humidity, vents in half bath upstairs and bedroom upstairs had condensation dripping from them. Some sheetrock damage around vents noticed. And beds were not very comfortable. In spite of these items mentioned, we enjoyed our stay at Beach Music.

We had a terrific family vacation on Dewees Island last week! The rental home, Charlotte's Pearl, was beautiful, well maintained and had everything our family needed for a week on the island.

Everything was handled very professionally. No problems at all. All of our questions were answered immediately.

The views were great but the place was infested with bedbugs and we got bit so much we bought an air mattress to sleep on.

The condo was okay, but definitely not as nice as others we have rented in the same building. The kitchen was not well stocked. We were amazed at how much deep cleaning was needed: ceiling fans were very dirty, cabinets dusty inside, bathroom drawers gritty, etc.
The main windows in the living room had no curtains. Every other condo we have rented in the same building has had these. We would not consider renting this unit again!

There were multiple issues regarding maintenance. The most egregious item was cleanliness. The last thing we want to do when we arrive is clean the place, and organize it. There were also many safety related issues. There were also some real fundamental items that left us wondering if property maintenance was even happening. We have rented this property multiple times, and other are contemplating renting it as well. However, I'm not so sure we can be an advocate for this property after this last stay. We are planning out next event at the beach, and we may not book this property after all the details that were overlooked. We were also inconvenienced by a faulty refrigerator twice. The first time was understood. However, the replacement unit could have waited until we checked out the following day.

Our condo was beautifully decorated and very clean. We look forward to staying in the unit again.

All was good and we had a great time! House was in great shape Katherine was so helpful an a great personality. Golf carts worked well!

The house we rented at Folly Beach far exceeded our expectations! Dunes Properties was easy to work with and answered any questions we had. We have rented through them twice now and won't use anyone else. Thanks!

This the second time we have rented a vacation property on Dewees Island outside Charlestown but this is the first time we rented through the Charleston Coast Vacation Rentals. Making arrangements for the rental could not have been easier. The property was accurately represented by written description and photos. The home was very clean and well stocked with all amnities needed for our vacation. When we arrived at the island we were greeted by, Kathryn, the intern. She was lovely. She provided us with rental information, a map of the island and instructions for our week. She was our contact person throughout the week were we to have had any problems. Which we did not.
The island is an adventure on its own. It was a nice addition to our visit to Charleston. Timing your outings to match ferry times can be a bit challenging but not terribly so. Sadly, we did not always feel welcome by the island owners. Most individuals were very kind and charming but some made comments that made our group mildly uncomfortable. That treatment was by no means the norm. Through our vacation interaction with others on the island was minimal and did not lessen our vacation experience. We had a wonderful time.

no issues with the company, a text to remind us and tell us what to do after hours, friendly courteous staff when checking in, convenient drop box for leaving early.
