Chelmsford Tutors put me in touch with a tutor called Charoula Magaraki to help with my daughter's GCSE English revision. My daughter was in year 11 and was struggling with English and was gaining Grade 2's in her mocks/tests, so Charoula started teaching my daughter in our home from October 2023, ready for her GCSE exams in May 2024. She was kind, friendly and so patient. My daughter liked Charoula straight away (which is very important, as I wanted her to have a good bond with her tutor) so she really enjoyed her lessons with her. Charoula also approached me with concerns about my daughter's concentration etc and advised me to get her tested for ADHD, which I did and my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD. None of my daughter's teachers at school ever picked anything up with regard to some of her symptoms and as her mum I have always noticed some traits of ADHD but never pursued it as I always thought the teachers would pick it up through her learning, so for Charoula to notice it within teaching her for a few months was amazing. Her teaching style is fab, for a child who wasn't keen on English, she brought my daughter on heaps with her learning and my daughter came out with a grade 4 in her English Language (2 marks from a grade 5) and a grade 4 in her English Literature. I highly recommend Charoula to anyone who is looking for an English tutor, as she is the most lovely and understanding person and just brilliant. Thank you.

Chelmsford Tutors matched us with a lovely tutor who we enjoyed seeing every week. We have just finished 3 years of English tutoring and this has really helped with Y11 assessments this year. The tutor was also the only person who realised he had mild dyslexia and suggested he went for an assessment. Having a one-to-one teacher has been very beneficial.
