I had my new 4-seater grey leather Chesterfield delivered this morning and couldn’t be happier. It looks classic and stylish, and it’s really comfortable too—definitely worth the wait.
The team at Chesterfields Direct were helpful throughout the whole process, and the delivery went smoothly with a great crew on the day.

Misleading Business Practices – Beware of Chesterfields Direct
I was drawn to Chesterfields Direct by their polished website and professional presentation. However, the reality was starkly different. The "showroom" turned out to be a grimy warehouse with only one staff member present, and the furniture on display was old and unimpressive. Visits are by appointment only, which already felt suspicious.
After confirming a purchase, I received a deposit invoice — but the bank details were incorrect. I unknowingly transferred $6,500 to what turned out to be a scam account. When I informed Chesterfields Direct, they took no responsibility and insisted I pay again. There was no support, no accountability, and no effort to help resolve the issue.
This experience has been deeply disappointing and costly. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company. What appears to be a reputable business is, in my experience, anything but.

Just received a two and three seater settee. The company were easy to deal with by phone. Furniture delivered on the day and within timescale suggested. Settees are well made and lovely colour. Delivery men were helpful. Would recommend.
Had recently moved house and needed a new 3 piece suite which would go in my cottage, which has pretty narrow doorways and some awkward corners. I spoke with Sharon at Chesterfields Direct who talked through the best options, sent leather samples and I placed an order.
The furniture duly arrived in the expected timescales, is a perfect fit and I am extremely pleased with it, great quality and exactly as described. The delivery crew were excellent as well, helpful, careful and friendly. I’ve now placed an additional order for some further pieces for another room.
Excellent service from start to finish. Excellent value for money. Furniture is top quality.
Update following my 5 star review.
My chair and recliner chair were delivered on11/1/23, and although I told the delivery men that the recliner was almost impossible to work, I was advised it would be ok with use, so I continued to try using it, to no avail. It will not open, even with 2 of us applying brute force, and so is useless. I was told that nothing could be done, as I had not reported it straight away.
Since the furniture is supposed to be guaranteed, I do not feel that this was in any way fair.
The recliner was £250 dearer than the standard chair, and I should have saved the money and just bought 2 standard chairs.
The recliner chair is very heavy, which I would have put up with if it worked, but having to move it to clean gets harder as my health deteriorates.
Today, when moving it, I decided that I have been badly let down, hence this update.
Bought 4-seater Cambridge Oxblood sofa online from them, it arrived very quickly and was expertly brought in by 2 very helpful chaps. The quality and finish are perfect and everything I expected. I shall now buy chairs to match. (other review about showrooms etc I think was left for the wrong company)
UNCOMFORTABLE SOFA & HORRIBLE SERVICE
After visiting their showroom (which is almost 4 hours drive from my place) and discussing everything in detail with the staff I ordered a 3 piece suite. I really liked the firmness of seats after sitting on their showroom sofas. Now the catch is when they send you sofa at your home, the seats are super soft and fluffy which keeps slipping out when somebody is sitting on it and also makes them extremely uncomfortable to sit. Not good for ones back too.
Worst part is their horrible after sales services. So please beware when you invest on an expensive sofa from them. Initially I was told by Mike that they gonna replace them free of cost but I will have to wait another 5-6 weeks for manufacturing process of new firm seats as they are not receiving supplies on time. After chasing them for more then the time given, I was sent 4 old, shabby, groase seats which was a big shock for my whole family as nobody would like to have anything used and unhygienic at their home during this corona time. We actually thought that it must be a mistake and cald them to explain the situation for which I got a very vague reply from Jen to call back after 2 pm as Mike is only available at that time.
So I also sent them an email with pictures attached as a proof. To my surprise I never got any call back from them and I kept calling to get hold of Mike for another 3-4 days. Then on 4th day Jen told me that she has confirmed with her boss, it was a mistake and they gonna send me the new seats the following week and these old seats were sent as a temporary replacement until they manufacture the new ones. This made me hopeful again to wait for another week as I was not able to enjoy my sofa since it came in January 2021.
Unfortunately after few minutes on same day, I got another call from an arrogant and rude lady named Sharon who seems to be the owner. She dint even bother to acknowledge the situation and told me that we sent new seats from our side and not responsible for what you received. She told me that this rubbish is worth £200 and we are not going to send you another one. Out of confusion I called the showroom again to confirm what's happening. Finally Jen told me that she has also been told the same thing by Sharon and what she says is final. I requested them to investigate this and check the pictures but Sharon dint want to as she knew what she sent and they were not new.
So this a place where people are not true to their words. Nobody knows whats happening and there is no clear communication between staff. Nobody ever mentioned that we have any option to choose a seat type according to firmness. Even when you place an order online there is no option to choose a seat type of your preference. Please don't go by what you see in the showroom as what you gonna receive will be different. That's how they make their profit by misleading people into buying unreal stuff.
We recently purchased a Richmond two seater sofa and a slipper rocking chair from Chesterfield Direct. We looked at a couple of places before but finally settled on there, due to the excellent customer service we received from Sharon and for the quality of the workmanship. A few places had similar items but Chesterfield Direct had that extra something, which made us choose them. When the furniture arrived it surpassed our expectations and we have since ordered a Queen Anne chair in the same leather. The buttoned seat just compliments the period and style perfectly.
Chesterfields Direct furniture (bespoke made Regency Style Computer Desk and bookshelf) which I bought 11/2017 was tested in an UK laboratory to measure the formaldehyde emissions: formaldehyde concentration is 110 mg/m3. Formaldehyde exposure is hazardous for human health. Formaldehyde is classified as a human carcinogen.
