Chicago Knife Works Avis 54

First and last experience with Chicago Knife works. Placed an order 9/15/25 that has still not shipped as of 9/25/25. Items ordered were listed as "in stock". After several emails and a couple calls to customer service (who never responded or answered BTW), I received a reply from an email that they were behind on shipping and would process the order by the fifth business day. That was the 19th . My requests to cancel the order or receive and update on the shipping have remained unanswered. Do yourself a favor and google the company reviews BEFORE you order. Look up the address and take a look at the street view of the "storefront"...This place is a joke

Get past the 3 week order to delivery, then, all is perfect. Perfect Quality all around on the Trail Master 52100! Excellent company,..fulfillment on delivering item that is Genuine w/out flaws!

Will order from CKW next time w/out trepidation.

False advertising. Knive steel was listed as S35VN, actual steel etched on blade is 14C28N. They responded right away and I did get one email saying they would take a return or offer a discount on a future order if I kept this one, I replied twice saying I would take a discount as it's not bad for what it is but then they ghosted me. I'm surprised they actually changed the listing and just list no steel type now but I have the page saved as proof. At this point I wouldn't even use the discount if they gave it to me, I will not buy from CKW again. They have low prices on a lot but the service is just horrendous and as you can see from many reviews from real people it's not the exception. Also shipping time is slow, 3-5 business days is actually 7 in the case of this recent order. I'll bet they don't know how to give a customer a discount because they've literally never done so, and just ignore people. It says they have not replied to anyone here in 12 months so it's evident they don't care about their reputation or what customers experiences are.

Many issues with this company. First, I placed my order with credit card for a Belgian Sharpening Stone on the 9th of August and they didn't ship until the 15. Second, nobody answers the phone. The customer service number is a movie prop that only "takes messages" and is useless with no calls ever returned. I sent an email wondering why my order was late and they did respond to that. They said they were "behind on orders" and "... thanks for you patience." Third, my stone when it arrived was chipped and there was a crack in it. Poorly packaged and the heavy stone was bouncing around in the box with no bubble wrap and only a wad of butcher paper put inside doing nothing to protect the stone. Fourth, this is a 3rd level stone with inclusions and natural seams (cracks) and does not have continuity throughout the stone. It was on sale and enabled me to get a BBlue Stone for cheap, but you get what you pay for. Also, the company has no way to leave reviews on their site even though there are tabs showing reviews in the products listings.

Customer service is terrible, no response, no follow up, order was placed 7/5/25. Tracking shows it's waiting to be picked up. I think they sold more then they could get & don't want to make it right. At this point they just stole my money.
I have heard of several others with the same problem.
It doesn't matter how good the price is it it's never delivered. Shop elsewhere.

Customer service is non-existent! Three weeks and product still hasn't been received. Call to customer service went to voice mail. Followed instructions and sent e-mail to address specified. No response. Thankfully only into order for approximately $40. As of 7/5, tracking shows order to be in VA waiting on receipt of product -- not sure what that means! Thus far, my experience has been TERRIBLE!!!

Absolutely the worst Customer Service of any online knife dealer I have ever used, and I’ve been ordering online for 30+ years. Shipping creates a label, and then does not hand off to carrier (USPS) for another 5 days. It’ll be close to a month before I receive 2 Case Pocket Knives. First and LAST Order with these turkeys.

I had to respond with my correct billing address with in 24 hours. I did much before that. Never got a reply. My ordered was cancelled. Tried to contact them through email (which they say is the best way to contact them). Called them over 10 times. Left voice mails.

From what I found online they do some kind of drop shipping and they also outsource their call center, which makes sense. That is why some time it takes them forever to ship some products. They don't even know if that specific product is in stock.

I ordered 3 knives and Chicago Knife Works has shipped Zero. Ordered beginning of December 2024, got a lot of BS from the owner and NOTHING. Buy beware Chicago Knife Works... This story is repeated all over the internet. No communication from Chicago Knife Works... Havent been nasty yet... But about too.

Good selection, usually just ok prices despite being deluged with emails about sales, exceedingly slow to ship. Good selection from My Parang.

Stay Away! Ordered 4 perfectly legal knives to Canada. They "mistakenly" added a fifth knife, a butterfly knife, which is illegal in Canada. When i contacted them (which took forever) about it, they said too bad so sad, you should know the laws. I had the invoice and receipts showing what i had ordered which did not include a butterfly knife. They just ignored emails and i had to file a claim. Do NOT do business with these guys.

I've placed four orders for 10 knives over a period of two years and each order was smooth. My largest order was five knives, with another order places before the first one shipped. It went perfectly, received all the correct items in great condition. The shipping time was reasonable. They have a great selection and good prices.

Beware - Chicago Knife Works provides No after Sale Customer Service on Defective Non-Function Items and will not respond to numerous attempts to contacts with photos sent to them via Sales-chicagoknifeworks.com nor do they answer or allow leaving voice messages at their contact phone# 10-workdays after delivery an I initial notification of defective item

This one defective item took away any economic benefit of ordering almost $200 of items from www.chicagoknifeworks com

Don't let saving a few $ persuade you and deter you from actually receiving a functional product from them.

I've bought several knives from Chicago Knife Works and as a serious collector I shop around very carefully,well this company almost always has the lowest price on knives and for instance I just bought a Cold Steel Natchez Bowie in 4034 stainless steel and I paid about $150 including free shipping and tax,Amazon charges $300 plus for the same exact knife as do other sellers,and Chicago Knife Works stands behind their products,much better than the factory that makes Cold Steel products,5 stars for them and the owner is a very nice man who went out of his way to help me resolve an issue ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Canceled my order for no reason without even notifying me. Save your time and big another company

I recently purchased a Buck compadre axe and knife at very competitive prices. Both came with defects (the axe had a very severely bad grinde shape, and the retaining strap on the knife sheath was attached in the wrong position so that it doesn't hold the knife in the sheath). The return policy charges for restocking, so I will keep the blades - I get the sense that their prices are low because they sell defective stuff.

Great prices and big range of knives to chose from received the knifes promptly thanks guys.
