Did I pay for no service?

I took out a CIFAS subscription just under 2 years ago because of data breaches at various online companies where my data had been identified as exposed. Today, thinking I needed to renew my subscription, I am unable to log in as CIFAS does not recognise my email account that I had used previously with them, to which they acknowledged my subscription. I am left thinking, that they took my money and did nothing because they no longer hold my details. I am not happy. Also, the phone number they publish online doesn't connect. One I eventually found is only manned on Tuesday and Thursday until 2pm

I seriously doubt the professionalism…

I seriously doubt the professionalism of CIFAS. Despite being regulated via the FCA they seem to hold no accountability for the applications they hold about you. I think CIFAS need to be investigated by the Serious Fraud Office

Offensive Sending an age concern link is…

Sending an age concern link is offensive; even if I were an oap, it's rude. I'm not an oap. They told me it's good that I went to Action Fraud after I told them several times that Action Fraud didn't help me at all. Where's the sense. They don't seem to listen and understand, so it seems they are the ones who need age concern.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Service – A Warning to Others

I paid £2000 to CIFAS in September for services they failed to deliver. Despite my efforts to get the promised help, they did not provide the support I was expecting. The lack of communication and failure to resolve my issue has been both frustrating and stressful.

I strongly advise anyone considering CIFAS to be cautious. My experience has been a clear example of poor service, and I’m deeply disappointed in their lack of accountability.

As a result, I will be seeking legal action through the courts to recover my funds and ensure that this issue is properly addressed. I would encourage others to think twice before engaging with this company. No mater what, do bot give credit to the response, i will probably receive from his corporate

I do not know why this time company…

I do not know why this time company still existing.
They put a Mark Cifas on my records as Fraud, because I applied for a credit card capital one, and capital one told them I was not registered on the address that I applied, I could and I can proof everything needed, I have completed all the steps on cifas website to remove the marker, and they never removed my name from fraud, I can’t believe this company in UK, still existing, putting people in trouble, and making our life more difficult than it’s.

I have had my idendity stolen

I have had my idendity stolen. I have been advised by Action Fraud to immediately buy protective cover from Cifas. I cannot use my card to buy the cover as it has been blocked by my bank to protect me from this fraudster.
I spoke to Action Fraud who said it's not their problem as Cifas is a separate company.
I cannot contact Cifas by phone.
What is one to do ?

2 banks have told me I have a CIFAS…

2 banks have told me I have a CIFAS marker. However, after submitting my data to CIFAS, including copies of my address history, driving license and passport, this is how they respond:

This information may help us to release information to you, which we may not have been able to release to you in the past.

I’ve submitted every piece of information I have to them. I am legally entitled to know what information they hold when I submit a DSAR request, but they are obstructing this right from me!

Cifas directors addresses

Cifas despite being given statements from the original complainant that there was no fraud and now been given a letter from the hsbc asking fir the marker to be removed have dine nothing I have addresses for 3 of their directors I will be publishing then online for anyone wanting accountability to go speak to them.

Poorly Designed Qualification – A Waste of Time

This course is not fit for purpose. Assessment expectations were unclear and only fully explained after submission. Important information was shared only in live sessions, disadvantaging those who couldn’t attend. There was no consideration for the time pressures faced by busy professionals, and no meaningful support for learning needs. It felt more like a memory test than a serious qualification. I would not recommend.

Barclays finally removed my details…

Barclays finally removed my details after a very stress full year i done a appeal on cifas sent all i could total waist of time as they agreed with the bank Barclays went against the FCA and there own guide about vulnerable people and so did Cifas it was Barclay knowing my condition who committed fraud tying to take them to court and cifas waist of time cant speak to any one dread full experience cifas ignore emails to should be closed down at once

Had to call 3 times to pick an option that would get me through to a person. Then stuck on hold. Am wondering what's the point. They make it impossible to speak to anyone so I doubt they'll be much help with protective registration

Cifas menice to citizens in the uk

They're a menice they let any company put a red flag for unconfirmed fraudulent activities against someone without investigating if the allegations are true or misconceived people are wrongly accused of some crime they didn't commit its corrupt agency, I got accused of a issue I didn't even do in the first place by a bank or building society I've never committed fraud in my life, I'm seeking a lawyer to have this flag removed I'm not being accused of something I've not done ever in my life they really need to check with accused if this event is actually true or a company is trying to falsely putting info on there system to be vicious and nasty intensionly they're pathetic just believing the nonsense without enquiring about it first from both sides accused and accusers no brains what so ever thick headed agency

Bought Cifas nearly two years ago as there had been a breach of financial data with a provider i used . I was guided here as it would help protect my details, fortunately i also contacted the credit agencies to create passwords for any credit applied for . Received an email from CFIS this morning , due to a technical error, although we took payment we did not set up protection on your details , please accept my apologies, we will refund you and you can have 2 years free ! Great support when your fiancial details are out there ! lost for words

I cannot believe this company was recommended by Martin Lewis. I am very unhappy with the service and they are impossible to get hold of to complain.. The customer service email bounces back as non accepted. The phone number (if you can find it) just leaves you hanging on with music. There is nowhere to cancel membership which is what i want to do despite all the Fill out a Form signs.The link does not exist when you click it.. If you join, CIFAS blocks you from opening accounts on trusted websites that always worked before and I have had terrible trouble with this . One building society said contact a solicitor about it! I will be going to the Financial Ombudsman instead and making a formal complaint about them and try to get any payment I made back .I cannot even cancel this .For you own benefit , do NOT join this terrible so called "protective " company. And Martin Lewis should have checked this company out before recommending it

I have completed and complained and still, heard nothing. This is a disgrace I’m nearly six years into having been deemed a fraudulent, I have been cleared from any investigation!! By Merseyside police. Life is becoming extremely difficult in a society moving forward cashless!
