Appalling Customer Service Don't Buy From CMON!!

The only reason this has a rating of 1 star is because I can't Ieave a ZERO.
I have asked CMON via their customer service site for a refund on a game I backed with them due to recently having open heart surgery, not being able to work for a while and needing a bit of extra money. I have a lot of money invested in two of their crowdfunded games ($2000+) and have backed more of their games for thouseands of dollars in the past.
I sent a form some way in advance of my due surgery date via their so called 'support' pages to request a refund on just one of the games which are both fully paid for and both running late. A common issue with CMON but because the games are usually good people tend to put up with it.
Bit with just a couple of days left to my surgery and having had no response I sent another general request giving the reference of my first request and asking for more urgent help. I got a response to this one saying that the new vase was closed and had been merged with the old one, but no mention that the old case had even been looked at. I am now nearly two weeks past surgery and despite having a glitch a couple of days after Surgery and needing to be shocked back to life five times, I am still alive.
But still with no resolution from CMON.
The customer service is appalling and I have give up hope of ever getting a response let alone a refund.
I won't be buying CMON products again in the future becasue of they can't be bothered with what I think is a fairly big customer service issue like mine how on earth does anyone get a smaller issue solved by them.
Just as a comparison a much smaller comapny PIKA Games, who I was crowdfunding with for the first time not only agreed to a refund almost immediately but because of my unexpected illness and the serious nature of it they also waived the usual handling fee they would normally charge for a refund and the full amount I had paid was back in my account two days later.
So, THANKS PIKA and shame on you CMON. My advice is don't buy fro CMON if you think you may ever need customer service.

I backed a project from CMON…

I backed a project from CMON on Gamefound, yet when the project seemingly went dead I requested a refund.

They have yet to reply to any of my emails (going back several weeks now) and I suspect I'll never get my money back or the project I paid for.

Absolutely despicable behaviour, this company is a scam.

The core sets are great but...

The core games seem quite reasonably priced, my only issue is they don't provide any sort of real compartment for the hundreds of cards which then end all over the box, the games are fun BUT anything at all that is an extra or expansion to the core games are ridiculous & aren't worth the cost,Do some research before buying a game

Assassin's Creed RPG

Backed Assassin's Creed RPG on backerkit in 2023, estimated delivery date was 10/2024.
It passed, and no information to backers what's going on. Questions via contact form on their website are ignored as well.
There was no communication to backers in 1.5 years now, and I mean NONE AT ALL! How could I assume there would be communication now.
Writing off my losses and warning everyone not to interact with CMON. I can only assume from their professional behaviour that this is a scammer and I fell for it.

Customer service not helping at all

Had a backerkit issue with one of their KS game.

I provided all the info I got, hoping for an explanation of why this situation happened. Their CS simply repeated that they did not receive any record in their system and would not offer further assistance with a pretty rough attitude.

Please be cautious with CMON's orders and avoid their CS at all costs.

CMON used to be better than 5 stars

CMON used to be better than 5 stars. They were one of the best companies to deal with. I used to post and constantly defend them to everyone. Im not sure what happened but a couple of years ago everything changed. Emails started not getting answered as a regular thing. Numerous complaints from others in the comments section for pledges. They didnt even care if you didnt get the product you paid for. Oh you didnt get our email about the item you paid for. Well we are sold out. We can refund you if you want but its minus the kickstarter fees. I am a super backer who used to back stuff left and right. I feel that like many companies CMON has gotten too big to give a damn about their fans and those that put trust in them when they were first getting started. Dont get me wrong they make an AMAZING product but you better not need any help from their service team because they just no longer care about the customer.

Worst Customer Service Ever

I purchased a brand new Looney Tunes game from a guy on ebay and the 22 card deck was packaged incorrectly. (Some cards were missing and others were duplicates). This was a sealed deck of cards, so the mistake was obviously made at the production level. It should have been an easy problem to resolve: Just contact the company and get a replacement deck sent out, right?…WRONG!

I spoke (through emails) to a C’MON “customer service” rep named Colin Lim. (I put “customer service” in quotes for a reason.) First Colin told me that due their distribution deal, they aren’t allowed to replace parts; he directed me to the distributer’s site. According to the site, the distributer only provides replacement for purchases from “official retailers”. I explained to Colin that this was a brand new game and that the seller shouldn’t be responsible for C’MON’s packaging mistakes. After an email correspondence that consisted of several emails, this was Colin’s eventual response:

“I am afraid that we are not able to refund you without a proof of pledge. Should this be a legitimate purchase off retail, the retailer would be able to get replacements from the distribution.”

So according to Colin Lim @ C’MON, his company cannot replace defective parts FOR THEIR OWN PRODUCT unless i purchased it from a retailer! According to him, my $90 purchase of their game was somehow illegitimate because I purchased it on Ebay (despite the fact that it was brand new/never opened!) Even though C’MON’s production team messed up on how they packed their cards, Colin claims they can’t replace a 22 card deck without first knowing who the retailer is!

I did try to get this info from the original seller but as it turns out he purchased the collection from another ebayer, and he’s not even sure who it was. He’s reached out to a few sellers, but they haven’t responded.

I wasn’t asking for a whole new game! I wasnt asking for replacement figures! I was asking for 22 cards to replace the ones C’MON messed up. What is the production value on that? Is it REALLY worth pissing off a potential customer over 22 cards?!

I had been planning to make Marvel Zombies my next Halloween game purchase. But not anymore! I REFUSE to give that company my money, because they do not stand by the quality of their products!

Essentially, I bought a faulty brand new product but this particular manufacturer (C’MON) has absolved themselves of all responsibly to correct their own packaging mistake! Why? Because I purchased it on E-Bay!! That’s like a car manufacturer not honoring their recall warnings because you didn’t buy it from the dealership!

ALSO: This entire exchange took place over a few days through several emails. With almost every email, Colin marked the issue as “solved” closing the case, despite the fact that he never even tried to resolve it! I’m guessing he just wanted me to give up and go away! I had to specifically request for him to keep the case open!

This whole thing had been a RIDICULOUS and EPIC CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL! One star all the way! I mean… C’MON!!! (Pun intended!)

Disgusting company, avoid their products and dealing with them!

Ignorant frauds.
Disgusting attitude at most of their Kickstarter projects.

- extremely high shipping prices
- VAT fraudulence - shipping VAT for regions with VAT already included
- deleting comments from dissatisfied backers on social media
- locking the pledge manager and forcing people to pay extremely high shipping almost 2 years earlier
- not responging to concerns
- deactivating support accounts for backers pointing out all this

Shame.
