Great service. Took out a HGV policy a few weeks ago then needed to make an amendment and they did it in two minutes with no charge or hassle. Service like this will keep me loyal to a company.

Took out insurance as an owner operator with this company and renewed for a second year. Half way through the second year I cancelled the policy as I'd become part of a separate organisation which had its own insurance provisions which made sense to tie in with them.
I knew there would be a cancellation fee etc. and when I cancelled the policy they told me they'd write and inform me what that cost would be.
So far so good.
Unbeknownst to me, the letter informing me of the costs never arrived. It's a rare occurrence but letters do occasionally get lost. The subsequent follow up email found its way into my spam folder, so that wasn't seen either. The first I knew of the cost was a final demand notice.
I contacted them and asked for a breakdown of the costs. However, by the time I called they'd already decided to take the full payment from a card I'd used in a previous amendment transaction, without my authority because buried away in the small print is a clause that somehow gives them the authority to do this.
What angers me the most is not the fact that money is owed but the fact that they decided to take the payment without my agreement that it was the correct amount and without my authority.
In my view that is extremely poor customer service, immoral and smacks of typical money grabbing financial institutions that have no regard for their customers despite all their "wonderful" marketing hype.
Yet again small businesses given a kick in.

I am very impressed with their services. Very polite stuff and very efficient. I had a small issue with my address and Jack fixed it in less than 10 minutes even tough he was out of office. Highly recommended.

I’m really impressed with the service we’ve received from Compare HGV insurance, it’s really improved since they took over Staveley Head. We’ve saved so much money by combining our vehicle insurances to a mini fleet policy and both Jack last year and Arron this year have completely taken the headache out of renewing.

I'll try to keep this short but but being a business owner then I believe its only right to praise excellent service when it arises and that's exactly what Michael at Compare HGV Insurance did.

He was not only knowledgeable but calm, non-pushy, explained everything thoroughly and gave us the best solution to our needs.

Dealing with suppliers is not always easy but this is one person and company that i would definitely whole-heartedly recommend to to anyone looking for commercial vehicle insurance.

As my own experience they are so helpful they help me alot on couple off hour before finish my policy and give me really good insurance package. thank you guys

I’ve had an absolute nightmare with these people. They set my new policy up by adding it to an existing one. Seemed a good idea but the sales person arranged it with no claims bonus that didn’t exist. Calls came all through the policy from an admin team but they kept saying it was to do with the original vehicle and that it has been sorted. Then around it started again. The policy is now over and it has now come to light the issue was with the second vehicle. Seems to me the salesperson had found a way to keep it hidden for long enough for the policy to complete. I now have bailiffs threatening court which I cannot wait for as it’s time for them to admit their mistakes on the record. I have just started a complaints process with the insurance ombudsman too. I’ll be staying away from this company.
