What a find Sloopside was
What a find Sloopside was! We have been holidaying as a family within a 2 mile radius of Thurlestone for 40 years so this was a very special year and Sloopside lived up to our expectations.
Everything was perfect, lots of parking space, bathrooms for every bedroom, garden space for a bit of "cricket" and of course a spectacular view.
We would love to return but I gather the house is already fully booked for next year; I am not surprised.

Fabulous holiday
Compass kept us up to date and went above and beyond. This was our second visit to Sloopside Annexe and Bantham has made a huge impression on us. The accommodation was superb. We are already planning to return. Every detail though of and very clean. The view is fabulous. The estuary and beach with the nature reserve is beautiful.

Abbotscot - charming and quirky
Abbotscot is a charming place perfect for a couple and dog. 10 mins walk to Bantham - along a very quiet road with lots of passing places. The house is originally 60’s/70’s and the bathroom and kitchen look original. Elsewhere the decor is quirky, vintage and comfy. Lots of nice touches - great mattresses, crisp white bedding, black out curtains, sun hats and dog bed. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was lovely and clean. The garden was glorious! Beautiful established trees and shrubs, fabulous sun trap terrace and summerhouse. Lots of levels and steps for little ones to be aware of FYI. The kids bunk room was super cute if you are bringing children. Only complaint was with the double bed frame which was creaky and could do with a replacement. Other than that, a really delightful place. Bonnie was very helpful around arrival etc, letting us in the property early which we appreciated.

Loved our stay at Vine House. Great location, could walk to Bantham Beach, The Sloop Inn which did amazing food and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Quite a climb but it did not deter our 82 year old friend from walking there and back. It is rural with a capital R, fab views, home on 3 levels with a social dining/living area with a huge TV. Delightful small outside space with table and chairs. Would happily return. Great communication with Compass Quay. Thank you.

Willows Cabin
We stayed at Willows for a few days and wished we could have stayed longer. It's so peaceful there. The communication we had from Compass Quay was great, it gave the personal touch. They even let us know that we could get into our accommodation early the day before we left. We will be using Compass Quay again hopefully for a longer holiday and will be recommending them to our friends.

The Malthouse was just perfect in every way! Very clean and tidy beautifully decorated. Equipment, utensils , fuel for log burner was all available and in perfect condition.
