I’ve done a lot of online trainings, but Compliant City stands out. The commitment to excellence shows from registration to delivery. Compliant City really walks the talk when it comes to excellence in teaching and learning. I joined one of their webinars last month and the quality was top tier. The facilitator broke down complex topics in a way that was easy to understand, and everything was practical, not just theory. You can tell they genuinely believe learning is an ongoing process because they keep updating their content and they even share follow-up resources. My business has already started applying what I learned. If you want training that actually improves your quality of life and business growth, this is the place.

Poor Service
The link to event wasn't sent after paying the fee. I had to follow up several times without any responses. Link was sent last minute so technology wasn't set up appropriately to be able to attend live. It took several days for the recorded version to arrive via email. Horrible customer service and would not recommend to others.

Would have like to know more about the tax liabilities for payroll, example, in NY you have to pay the family leave tax through a workers comp company, things that may be different in other states, even if you didn't want to get into that some information on how to learn about the tax liabilities in each state would have been very helpful. I really got nothing out of this seminar.

Helpful templates but extremely politically motivated
Of the hour and a half the webinar was scheduled for, maybe 30 minutes was actually spent on how to do an internal audit and what to be mindful of on the new form and how to do it correctly. This training, despite saying it was neutral, was extremely politically motivated. There was quite a bit of personal opinion and commentary from the presenter that was not needed or necessary for those in the training to know. The actual audit how-to and the tools and templates provided are helpful, but the rest of it was frankly unprofessional.

Information may have been useful for…
Information may have been useful for someone who has no experience dealing with I-9s at all. For people who have experience, this was very slow. The information is very basic, even with the "updates". The presenter was basically reading off the power point and the person who controls the slides definitely was not paying attention and a lot of time was wasted waiting for slides to change. This was not beneficial to me at all.

Technical support didn't help instructor
The content was good, but I was put off by the way the technical person treated the presenter. She logged on with two accounts and was experiencing feedback. Instead of asking her to log off both accounts and reconnect with one, he just told her to continue with the feedback she was hearing because the audience could not hear it. If you have ever tried to talk with feedback (your own words coming back at you), it is very difficult. I do not think he provided a good solution for the presenter. She did a great job considering the conditions but it had to affect her presentation. Several Compliance City people were on the call and did not speak up to help the presenter.

There was a lot of great information. A rocky start with the getting the presentation going. Speaker was very good, but I didn't feel that the person introducing her was very good. She was having trouble with the audio and he seemed a bit impatient with her.
Also, still waiting for the email with additional documents that were mentioned during the presentation, When can I expect that?

The title of the webinar was somewhat misleading, as it suggested a detailed discussion on the I-9 form and guidance on conducting an internal I-9 audit. However, the presentation primarily involved reading from the slides without offering in-depth insights or additional context. While there were a few useful tips regarding preparation in the event of a raid, several sections of the presentation seemed to deviate from the core topic, with some content focusing more on political commentary rather than policy-related information.

Not Worth the Price Tag
It was a nice review, but the facilitator just reading the slides far from justified the cost of the course. This presentation style was neither engaging, nor was it any more informative than just purchasing the slide deck would have been. It was also extremely disorganized getting started as the facilitators were talking amongst one another on the webinar about who was to share their screen and figuring out technical difficulties. Overall, I would look at finding free, or lower cost resources if you are looking to get this information for 2024 year end. As for preparing for 2025, there was little useful information provided as for what to expect next year.
