Honestly sceptical about buying lighting online. But checkout with Apple Pay was embarrassingly easy. A few weeks on and no regrets. Corazon just... got out of the way and let it happen.

So my sister has been redoing her guest bedroom for like eight months. EIGHT. She kept saying it felt unfinished and I finally figured out what it was missing — a proper floor lamp in that empty corner by the window. Enter the Cade. I'd been eyeing it for a while because honestly $365 for that kind of look is genuinely impressive, the slim industrial profile feels way more expensive than it is. Anyway I ordered it as a surprise. The box showed up and I am not exaggerating when I say it took up my entire doorstep, I had to sort of drag it sideways through my front door which was a bit of a moment. But whatever, it's a floor lamp, I get it. Brought it over to her place last weekend and we set it up together in maybe twenty minutes. When we stood it up in that guest bedroom corner she just kind of went quiet and then said "okay that's actually perfect" which from her is basically weeping. The metal finish works SO well with her neutral tones, it has this quiet confidence to it, doesn't try to be the whole room but definitely anchors it. She's already texted me twice saying guests have complimented it.

Almost a month in and I keep noticing new things about this lamp. The frosted glass shade diffuses the warm white so evenly — no hotspots, no harsh edges, just this soft glow that actually flatters the whole room. In a studio apartment that can feel claustrophobic after dark, that matters more than I expected.

The metal construction is genuinely solid. No wobble, no cheap hollow feeling when you adjust the dimmer. The proportions are right too — tall enough to read as a statement without overwhelming the space.

One thing: the box is enormous. It took up my entire doorstep and I had to disassemble the packaging in stages just to get it inside. Minor logistical headache, completely worth it.

Lamp arrived. Set it up. Done.

The Aven looks beautiful outside. 3-color switch is super handy, and my kids can't mess with cords easily. Base is bigger than I expected but worth it.
