Unprofessional & Misleading
After having my offer accepted on a rental property, I paid the holding deposit, passed referencing, and received the contract. I asked a few reasonable questions before signing—standard due diligence any tenant would undertake. Instead of answering, Coreprop abruptly withdrew the offer, citing that the landlord believes there’s stronger offers in the marketplace for this property. They then put it back up for £100 more a month.
This wasn’t just unprofessional—it was unethical. They wasted my time, compromised my moving plans, and showed complete disregard for the commitment they’d already made. Their handling of the situation was evasive, dismissive, disrespectful and quite frankly incredibly amateur. I would avoid Daniel at all costs if you’re dealing with him on a rental property.
If you’re a prospective tenant, be extremely cautious. If a landlord or agent can back out at the first sign of scrutiny, it speaks volumes about their reliability. Coreprop’s actions were not only a breach of trust but bordered on sharp practice.
I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for a secure and fair rental experience.
