How is this place still in business?!?
I try to never leave bad reviews in writing and prefer to discuss my experiences (good and bad) with a manager, in the event my bad experience was a one-off and not typical. I wouldn't even be leaving this one if a Manager (Read: ANYONE) would have just responded to my repeated requests for an update on my quotes.
NOTE: I even provided copies of all current active policies to use as a reference and guide as to what was active and what their costs were!
Therefore, if there was a "Zero-Stars" option, I'd argue it wasn't low enough and wish I’d seen these reviews prior to falling for their bait and switch scam.
(BAIT) September 2021, they took my initial call and information and provided a quote for a policy that fit our needs...
(SWITCH) We were off to the races to get a response from the agent. The initial Agent never engaged, the next agent was following suit initially and blamed his inability to respond on the company’s phone system not relaying the calls and emails information, and other excuses. It took weeks to get a policy sent to us to sign.
While we were waiting to get the single policy started, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and requested quotes for (4) other policies - this was October 2021 and (4) agents ago (that's 4 agents in 6 months) ... (2) of which (including the current agent) are "Managers". I'm not sure what they manage but it's certainly not Customer Service or Retention.
*BE AWARE: Your agent will change without your knowledge, and no one will bother to make you aware that you're emailing or calling to speak to someone that's not there anymore. They don't have direct phone numbers - and never return calls promptly.
It's mind blowing that this company is still in business - but I'm guessing people (like me) don't delve into the reviews first and rely on whatever bogus script they'll sell you when you call.
In closing, if you value your sanity, consider your time valuable, and need your to have a competent agent advocating for you - CoverWallet should *NOT* be your choice. Run away from this nightmare as there's no-one competent or reliable here.

Rude sales agent hangs up when he can't…
Rude sales agent hangs up when he can't answer the simplest questions. I received a quote and when I asked to see the riders which actually define the policy, the Agent, Jeff Visco became indignant, and said he couldn't show me the contents of those riders and since he couldn't, would close out my quote and hung up. What a Jerk!
Nightmare Company
This company is the worst they cancelled my insurance with no notice and kept taking money out of my account so I assumed that I had insurance. When I called to get an updated COI after logging in and not being able to print one out myself as you are supposed to be able to do, I find out from a representative that I have not had insurance for the previous 6 months and that I was still being charged. I have since been passed around and ignored and even disconnected and it has been 6 weeks. Nightmare!!!!!!!
Insurance nightmare
If you are shopping insurance rates and are thinking of calling Coverwallet DONT!!!! If I could give them zero stars, I would. We were quoted a rate which was a lot of money annually but cheaper than most. So we signed a policy contract for commercial insurance. We were completely transparent with our driving record which was not a bad driving history. We get documents three weeks into the policy stating our premium had increased by 30% annually ($11,000) due to not receiving documents they requested which we had given to the agent who signed us on day one and we had email proof of that. It turns out the another agent took over the policy and the original signing agent did not forward the documents. Coverwallet admitted as much but would not accept responsibility with Progressive to drop our rates back down to what they had quoted us. After going round and round with both Coverwallet and Progressive we are now forced to take legal action against Coverwallet to recoup our money. They have caused us serious financial stress on our business because of their neglect. So I say run from Coverwallet unless you want to be with the mess we are currently dealing with.
CoverWallet Wasted My Time
I contacted CoverWallet by phone to obtain general liability insurance for a non-profit organization. I provided a lot of information about the organization and, initially, the agent was quite helpful. He gave me a quote and said that he would get back to me once the policy had been approved by an underwriter. I waited for almost a week and then received an email from CoverWallet reminding me that they had given me a quote. When I emailed back asking when it would be approved by the underwriter, I didn't get a response. I then called the agent and left a voice message asking for an update and my call was never returned. In the end, I had wasted a lot of time that I could have spent looking at other more viable options.
